:Rakaso Haurtafert grew up amongst Wildwood Elezen. Her family treated her as kin, though it was terribly obvious she was unrelated to them. Their pale skin and honey colored hair were obvious contrasts to her dark blue skin and pale white hair. She spent her formative years within Gridania, until tensions against Duskwight rose to an all-time high. A mob struck against her family, slaying her father and barely missing Rakaso and her mother as they escaped. They fled to La Noscea, seeking to get as far as possible from the Shroud. They spent a year slinking from town to town, unable to get work or shelter due to Rakaso's appearance.
