Basic Info

Rotunda is an undead abomination. Given new "life" by a now-defunct cult, he consists of a body housing two souls. There was a flaw in the ritual that created him and as such, unlike his fellow Crows, Rotunda's personality is not one of two souls melded together. Rather, one of his personalities dominates over the other at any given time.

Rotunda has the following special traits:

  • His black eye can read a person's aether. He can thereby learn if the person has killed someone, if they have been resurrected by someone, or if they have resurrected another.
  • When dealt what would be to a mortal a fatal blow, Rotunda will dissipate into a black smoke that will drift away on the wind. His body will reform one bell (hour) later.
  • Rotunda can call up black aetherial flames around any metals in contact with him, including his blade. These flames burn unnaturally hot and allow him to pierce most materials, including armor, with thrusts from his sword.
  • He is weak to any fire other than his own; fire is potentially lethal to him, though that would depend on the origin and nature of said fire.

RUMORS

◢ Common Rumors (Easily overheard)
"Crow is the word. Crow is the word for rot and for undeath. Gods damn them all."
"They say that for a slight and some coin, the shadows of death's wings will find you, hunt you down, and tear you to pieces."
"We worshipped the dual divinity, yes. Coin for Nald, Blood for Thal, and Glory to the Voice. But the Voice fell silent, the Scales were broken, and the Dagger slid free."
◢ Moderate Rumors (Moderately difficult to overhear)
"Aye, I sold him some wares once. Fellow came to me stark naked. Bought some chainmail."
"Unhinged, him. Lecherous, vile, cruel bastard one moment, then a perfect gentleman the next... worse when he goes the other way."
"Thal's Respite. That's all I've t'say on the matter. Ye wantin' a word with Rotunda? Thal's Respite."
◢ Rare Rumors (Very difficult or rarely overheard)
"Saw some 'venturer run him through. He just laughed, then fell apart. Nothin' but ash and smoke...."
"I don't know, I sw-sw-swear! Looks like the Major Triarius... but the Major's dead!"
"We never did recover Adonis. The Flames had him. We went in at night, broke into the morgue. No body. No records of disposal. He was just... gone."
◢ PC Rumors (Rumors from Other Players)
"Jin'li served Adin Adonis faithfully. This one is called Atrium. I am not Jin'li." - Atrium Crow
"He's much less angry now and more...conniving?" - Oubliette Crow
