Sienna Skye

Summary

Sienna was born within a Thieve's Guild located somewhere within Ul'Dah's hideaways. As such, adventure and "treasure hunting" has been a way of life from a young age. Though, there's always more to life than what we're given. When the Garleans attacked Ala Mhigo she was still very young, this sort've lead to her growing up more intrigued by the advanced weapons and abilities those from the north had over fearing it. Whenever she's not seeking out adventures she's more often than not trying to create. Be it basic needs or attempts at the whimsical "Magitek" she's heard about. Doesn't get very far, mind, as she has little to work with. She's a hard worker, though.

Name given to her by her parents. The former name coming from the ambient glow of the room in which she was born, and Skye being their family name.

Bun [Bun]

A nickname given to her by her family within Rosa. Probably won't ever come up outside of it.

Doix Hazenbar [Doy ● Ha-Zen-Bah]

Occasionally Sienna will take on the "persona" of a young boy for when she wishes to conceal her identity. Hair tied and hidden up in a hat, chest bound down, and more masculine clothing to hide any other signs of femininity.

Arlon Skye [R-Lon ● Sky]

Sienna's father. Many years ago, he was one of the Ruby Road's best merchants. He rarely got complaints, got along great with his fellow salesmen and women, and would help out those he considered friend or family. Family was an important thing to him, which is why Rosa was the perfect home for him, his lover, and his future daughter. Arlon's known to be a loud, proud, and caring man. The kind who can take a joke with the best of them, and throw banter back and forth like nobody else. He is still respected by many both in and outside of Rosa, at least to those who know him. Around the time Sienna turned 13, he took off to travel the world. Thus is the life of an adventurer. She's not seen him since, but is excited for the day he returns.

Maria Rose [Ma-Ree-Ah ● Rose]

Sienna's mother. A hot-headed, competetive woman. Not the type you'd expect to hear was a mother. But, whatever her personality, she was a damned good one to her child. She, along with her husband, had many a tale of adventure to tell young Sienna growing up. This probably sparked theinitial flame inside the young girl which would lead her to follow in her parent's footsteps. Some always wondered how Maria and Arlon could have ever hit it off. He was quite relaxed and laid back compared to her overzealous nature. In Arlon's own words: "She can be scary as an Ascian, but I love her anyway." to which she smacked him upside the head. And then kissed him on the cheek.

Luther Skye [Loo-Thurr ● Sky]

Luther was born several cycles prior to Sienna, and left the family Rosa shortly before she was born. As such, she knows little about her big brother other than what her family says. It's told he was a hard working young man who dabbled in the arts of light and dark magic's. It seems that he didn't like the lifestyle of the family Rosa, and left to find his own way. Sienna would like to meet him some day, but doesn't know whether she'll see him as a brother by blood or just another member of her extended "family."

Rosa [Roh-Sah]

Rosa is a Thieve's Guild hidden away somewhere beneath Ul'Dah's Ruby Road Exchange. It's said that it was formed thirty cycles prior to Ala Mhigo's Fall, and was named after one of the original founder's lost loves. It's members are many, and it's main rule is simple. For those who are a part of Rosa, you are family. You look out for each other, and make sure nobody within it's halls are in need. Their ambitions are also simple; Get rich, find rare treasures, and live a life full of adventure! Now, dependant on who you ask, some members will tell you that this means that you should get riches and treasures by any means necessary. Others follow a moral code stating that they shouldn't steal anything from people who are alive (which also leads to another split in opinions..) but for the mostpart, Rosa is home to generally well-intended people. Once you're a member, there's very little you could do to get kicked out without breaking the main rule that is the very foundation stone.

Vale [Vay-l]

A member of Rosa who has always been a big-brother figure to Sienna. He has an adventurous heart, and has a habit of making women fall for him without intent. His adventurous tales always fueled her imagination as they were growing up, as he managed to start his own at a much younger age than her. His personality has always been warm, even when those closest to him vanished through unknown circumstances three cycles back. One day he left without a word. Where he went, nobody knew, nor why. All Sienna knew was that she'd been abandoned by her big brother, and she has never forgiven him. Though, truth be told, she'd give anything to have him return home.

Paradyme Capellago [Pa-Ra-Dime ● Cap-Ell-Ah-Go]

Back before there was even sign of a red dot in the sky, Sienna had met Para outside of the Gridanian Adventurer's Guild. Since then they've had several encounters, some good and some bad. Overall she thinks of him as clutzy, more than able to stick his foot in his mouth, but overall well intended. She's still undecided on him, even now.

Nahue Tanner [Na-Way ● Tan-Er]

Sienna found herself inside a shop within Limsa's basement during one of her "treasure hunts." Little did she know that the son of it's owner was still home. Through random chance, the two ended up getting along and Nahue ended up following young Sienna to Ul'Dah where they grew to be good friends.

Danal [Da-Nal]

A Hyur male whom she held feelings for around the age of thirteen. He lead her on and broke her heart, and seemed to start the trend of Hyur men who would let her down (soon being followed by her father and her 'big brother') in life. This is probably the reason she has such trust issues with them outside of anything more than platonic friendship.

Volume I: Beginnings

Somewhere deep beneath the busy streets and stalls of Ul'Dah's Ruby Road Exchange there's said to be a guild in which live a bunch of rag-tag rogues. Thieves, bandits, the vilest and most bloodthirsty of types who would trade their own mother for a few Gil. The Thieve's Guild, Rosa. Some know of it as merely a rumour, some consider it a legend, while others swear it exists. The tales themselves tell varying stories.

One tells that Ul'Dah itself couldn't have survived a time of poverty if it weren't for the heroic deeds of those who came to form Rosa. Others tell that they're mercenaries who work for the highest bidder. Meanwhile, there are those who believe that they will come in the dead of night and steal not only your riches, but also your youngest children to "recruit" into their ranks. Some, only a few, consider them to be adventurers of the highest calibre, calling themselves “family”, who've been given a bad reputation by the local authorities. I suppose, dependant on your perspective.. They could be villains, heroes, or something within the grey. Whatever the case, this band of thieves is where our tales begins.

It began with pain and tears; the birth of new life. A new addition to the Family Skye, as well the Family Rosa. Silvery hair like her father, and violet hues like her mother. This was the beginning of Sienna's adventure. She was the second child to the Family Skye, the first having left home long ago to become something more than what he considered just a petty thief. As such, Sienna grew up never knowing him, but that didn't matter. With a family as big as the entire guild of Rosa itself, you'd not notice their absence if you'd never met them. She was trained within the ways of the theif, helping her to become tactile, nimble, and stealthy. Training enabled her to make her first successful hits, stealing coin pouches from absent minded shoppers up in the Ruby Road Exchange from quite a young age. However, it wasn't until she entered her early teens where she realised her potential in other areas.

During one of her routine trips up topside, she wound up within the Goldsmithing guild. Witnessing such delicate, yet wonderful, crafts being made she decided to get creating. Sienna took affinity to crafting weapons, not always the craft of a goldsmith, but it was here where her talents began to form. It was these very items, crafted with her own hands, that would become the staple of her wares for sale in the near future.

Volume EX: End of an Era (Another Side)

During the final battle in Mor Dhona, Sienna was there. She did not fight, for it was not her goal. She’d defend if attacked, but moreover she was looking for someone. She looked and searchd but there was no avail.

You see, many within all Citystates had fled Eorzea. By boat, airship, or other means, they left the continent in search of other lands that would give them refuge while their homes were destroyed. Sienna, however, had been given word that someone important from her past was coming home. She remained within her home, a guild of thieves hidden deep beneath Ul’Dah’s Ruby Road Exchange. Days passed, but he didn’t arrive. It was the fateful day when she received word of his location.

The air was filled with the smell of scorched flesh and metal. The battle had been raging for a while, and Dalamud was drawing ever closer. Sienna’s intent was to get in, find him, and get out together. But, the fates hadn’t made it an easy task. There were thousands upon thousands on the battlefield, both sides were fighting bravely and it was unsure as to who would win before the impact occurred.

Suddenly, she spotted something. Small, fuzzy, pompom.. Goggles and jacket? A Moogle! But, it was not just any Moogle..

“You!” She ran over to him, avoiding those going at it with each other as best she could. He squeeked and kupo’d at her, frantic and seemingly pissed off at the current situation. She couldn’t speak Moogle, so his squawks fell upon deaf ears. Instead she started speaking over him, hurriedly.

“Where is he?!” The Moogle stopped flailing and calmed, demeanor saddening somewhat and squeeked a few words.

”.. He’s not here, is he?” Sienna frowned. Their joint moment of sadness was quickly interrupted by the red moon of Allag breaking apart in the skies above.

“Shite! C’mon!” She grabbed the Moogle and ran, trying to find somewhere safe to take cover. What happened next was.. Unspeakable.

Dalamud itself began to crack and shatter, pieces of it flew away further than her eyes could see, and what had been trapped within emerged. Bahamut, the Wyrm King. After so long imprisoned with the prison of Allag it was angry, and began to rampage. The beast shot destructive blasts of energy from it's gaping maw, destroying anything it touched. Land, Person, Building.. All were treated the same.

Sienna just stood there, her home city.. And much more wiped out instantly. Suddenly a bright blue dome covered her, the Moogle, and many others who’d been within range. It shattered, and an elderly Elezen began to reform it. Once more it fell and she watched as all she could imagine to be The Twelve took to play in an attempt to seal the winged beast. She was lost for words until a frail “.. No..” escaped her lips upon seeing what seemed to be the final defense fail.

Her gaze fell to the ground as Bahamut charged it’s attack. It was over. Eorzea would be ended, and she was leaving the living realm alone. Her gaze lifted once more as she was surrounded in a pale light. Quickly glancing around she noticed many others within range being affected the same way, vanishing one by one until..
