Overview

“Ye sure you can get in, lass?” asked the Roegadyn, looking doubtfully down at the Lalafell.

But the small woman just grinned back. “Of course! You want to know if the cargo is secure? I’m your best bet!” She thumped her fist a few times against her chest. “Besides, you sought me out, remember?”

“I guess…” the taller woman scratched the back of her head before straightening up. “Yer reputation precedes ya. Just get me the down low on that cargo before the night is out, and ye’ll have yer gil.”

“All part of the job ma’am!”

Tutugi Tugi is an ex-thief working for the Yellowjackets in Limsa Lominsa, with a (rather large) side job as a security consultant. She’s hired to see if a thief could sneak past their security by doing just that: sneaking past their security. If she’s caught, she applauds their planning and takes her gil. If she’s not, she stays behind to help them improve (and then takes her gil).

Appearance

Tutugi is slightly taller than the average Lalafell, at 3 fulms, 1 ilm, not that this impresses anyone who is not a Lalafell. She is pale, but not sickly looking, with a lean-muscled body that speaks of a lot of physical tasks rather than an effort to bulk up. Tugi’s hair, often kept long and in a ponytail, is naturally powder blue, but she dyes the tips a violent shade of orange. Both compliment her eyes - her right eye is orange and her left eye is blue. All in all, a noticeable figure - but if she can sneak past guards, they can’t be all that great, right?

Scars & Markings: Tutugi’s hands are noticeably calloused and scarred. Her face bears a mark of her teenage years - beautiful yet hastily-decided-upon red tattoos across her eyes. They’re swirled and lovely, but not something she would pick now.

Voice: Her voice is mid-range for a lady Lalafell, but to everyone else, Tutugi sounds as high pitched as really most Lalafell do. Her laugh is cheery and infectious, and her musical voice betrays her optimism. However, even on days where she’s in a bad mood, she has a hard time being taken seriously.

Clothing: Tugi dresses surprisingly plainly for someone as brightly colored as she is, usually practically and in shades of dusty brown. She wants to be noticeable enough that sneaking is hard, but also doesn’t want to look like a parrot, thank you very much.

Personality

Oh boy is Tutugi a character. Sprightly and perky to the point of being nearly obnoxious, she approaches life with zest and zeal. She’s optimistic to a fault, even about her own abilities. She knows, deep down, that jobs don’t always go well, but she refuses to acknowledge it until it actually happens, instead focusing on the positive aspects of her experiences. This comes across as naivety to some, arrogance to others.

This attitude belies a deep rooted intelligence that most people overlook - something she uses to her advantage. Tugi didn’t get to her position in the Yellowjackets for no reason. She has a discerning eye for tactics and an ability to visualize the quickest, easiest, and hardest routes through a 3D space. She can also quickly judge the monetary and personal value of everyday objects that her marks might carry.

Still, Tutugi cares very deeply for her friends and comrades, and is quick to leap to their defense. It surprises next to no one that she’s the first in line to protect those in need.

Living on the streets at a younger age, you learn a few things.

Tutugi was a thief for fun and survival. As such, she knows a good amount about pickpocketing, lockpicking, disguise, and stealth. If she doesn’t want to be seen, she generally won’t be. To be unassuming is the best way to go. These skills helps her greatly in both her day job and her side gig.

Though not particularly well-educated (only the basics of reading and writing), Tugi knows a good deal of statistics and accounting, with some economics on the side. You want to barter? She can appraise the value of a good amount of things at a glance, and keep your books updated with your budget as you go on top of that.

Tutugi isn’t frail per se, but she’s not built for taking many knocks physically - and even less magically. Her dexterity and knowledge for strategy are her best defenses, but if someone gets past those, she’s gone.

She also has almost no magical affinity, barely able to cure the lightest of skinned knees, or light the thinnest match. Her friends in the Arcanist’s Guild think it’s a shame. With her mathematical abilities, she would have made a fine Arcanist. She understands the theories perfectly well, but cannot do it practically.

Limsa Lominsa

Hailing from Limsa Lominsa, Tutugi is the daughter of two Marauders and was brought up in and around the guild. However, she fell in with a bad crowd of ruffians as a teenager and spent more than a few nights in a jail cell. The Yellowjackets eventually gave her a choice: Stay in jail, or work for us. And so it was that Tutugi, all of 19 years old, became an informant.

After three years of “stealing for good” as it were, she went freelance on the side. She’s hired to see if a thief could sneak past their security by doing just that: sneaking past their security. Acceptable RP: Slice-of-life type things, depictions of war, adventures

Stance on injury: Minor injury is fine if discussed beforehand. I am not big on major injury, but we might work something out if it fits the story real well.

Relationships: I am uncomfortable RPing romantic relationships. I’m like this for all my characters, it’s just a thing.

Lore Compliance: I'm not a heavy RPer by any means, and I will gladly bend canon if it gets in the way of an interesting story.

Combat: I use a random number roll based combat system, just because it's easier than trying to figure out something more complicated.
