Who is Videra?

Videra is a quiet and well mannered Midlander mercenary who has spent the majority of her life training with blades, and some ranged weapons including but not limited to Crossbows and muskets. One would not be faulted for mistaking her for a mere swinger of swords, a brute that knows only how to fight. She herself fans the flames of this mindset.

Despite her profession Videra is a very friendly individual once you break past her automaton-like facade, she has a mind for good humor, a tongue for alcohol and enjoys the company of women with raven locks and violet eyes especially. To those she befriends, she is fiercely loyal. Videra can often be found hunting for food; or enjoying a spar with the various members of her company.

Armed to the teeth, almost literally. Videra is a walking armory; clad in steel plate-mail and constantly equipped with her gladius, buckler and halberd at all times. There are situations where Videra carries more weaponry, though she generally wears much lighter armor when this occurs. Her skill at arms is certainly above average even if it lacks in certain areas, great-blades and firearms to be specific.

This is compensation for her aetheric deficiency. Videra has always lacked much in the way of aether reserves and is fairly convinced that casting a simple spell -would- kill her, she has since found ways to make up for this outside of sheer skill-at-arms.

Common Knowledge

Videra is a moderately well known mercenary currently in the employ of the Eorzean Relief Alliance; operating under Missus Amalaryssia, and Maxamilen Amalaryssia. She primarily operates out of The Goblet and in the general area of Thanalan, providing freelance services alongside doing proper contracts for the aforementioned organization. At one point she had been something of a peacekeeper in the northern regions of the shroud; with the help of the wood wailers of course.

Her primary job at the time was to tear the Coeurls and the Ixali a brand new arsehole, and she did this job for well over a moon with flying colors. It was unfortunate that at the end of that moon Videra up and vanished into the snowy wastes of the Coerthan Highlands. Things resumed their normal behavior in short order without her presence.

She has been seen passing through every region at one point, protecting a caravaneer ferreting out a hive of local bandits and other riff-raff.

A savant with magitek and her bow despite being a completely inexperienced twit in every other way; Videra has gone out of her way to attempt to change this. But mostly in part due to recent developments and her showing that she is, in fact, very competent; Videra has stopped. ●Rei Wakeflame: Videra's second romantic interest, and one of her closest friends simultaneously. She spends a great deal of her time around Mister, or in some case; "Miss" Wakeflame. His competence in battle combined with his great sense of humour, and good taste in food are a natural attraction for Videra. ♥●♥ Milly Wakeflame: Revealed to be more of an aetheric symbiote than she is a proper voidsent succubus, Videra can and will stand in her defense if the situation ever calls for it; Milly is a gentle soul despite taking the form of a slightly more humanoid Succubus, almost resembling a downsized duskwight according to the woman herself. ●Bexy Amalaryssia: Bexy Amalaryssia, where does one even begin when explaining a woman as storied as she is? Videra holds a great deal of respect for the tribeless seeker; doubly so after her competence in battle was shown. Videra currently works as her bodyguard, and if she's ever put into a position to; her enforcer. ●Stahlt Genfroscht: A man that Videra would have trusted with his life; if it were not for his unfortunate and wholly untimely demise. When Videra finally learned of this several moons later, she returned to the ERA headquarter's and Missus Amalaryssia's home drenched in blood, she never fully explained this to anyone. ●Nunupu Nupu: A self-styled "Black Mage" that Videra has shown a deep respect for since this development came to light. ●♥Mara Lynne: One of Videra's closest friends and her most trusted ally after the now deceased Stahlt, a Dark Knight who has also trained in Doman styles of fencing with a pair of daggers. Videra would follow Mara into the depths of all seven hells if it meant keeping her safe.
