Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Zen was born to a mother in slavery, resulting in himself becoming a slave to the stronger. ■ After being an experimental subject, he is found to be capable of great power. ■ Years later, he was found and saved by the High Seraph of the Wings of Eschaton, who later handed down the FC to him. About Zen's screams were well known in the labs of Limsa Lominsa. His blood would be found dotted about them, his tears to be seen every single day. Born to a mother of slavery, Zen was taken from her at a young age, forced into slavery himself. He was reluctant and proved to be resiliant to their punishments when he refused to do as he was told. He didn't believe in slavery, yet also had the will to fight, unlike the other slaves who simply submitted to the rich and powerful. He was different. Soon, his masters became tired of his refusals, and so he was given to Dr Semai, known to be crazy for experimentation, especially on Miqo'te. Truth was, little was known about the race and how they functioned, and so he yearned to find out more. However, his methods resulted in inhumane experimentation, as such only disobedient slaves were taken into his labs. Zen was simply another experiment, one who would teach Dr Semai so much more. Zen faced the horrors of the experiments for years on end, losing the will to fight, losing the will to live. He begged to be killed. They'd marked him, the side of his face showed a dark blue tattoo, claiming him as theirs. None of the other subjects had the mark, he didn't know what caused them to put one on himself. He also lost part of his eyesight to the experiments. One of his sea blue eyes had faded to white, due to Dr Semai's curiousity on his vision. The white eye was completely blind, useless. Dr Semai found Zen to have capabilities beyond the usual Miqo'te. He had magical power within him. As painful as it was for the subject, he had proceeded to implant a 'Soulstone' into him, testing to see if he could handle the power. When he was proved alive, he was quickly restrained more from then on, the experimenters knowing he had a great power within him, that if he learnt how to use, would destroy them. Zen's story begins in these labs, as an experiment. He awaits to be found and saved, and to learn how to truly live his life. PERSONALITY Zen is typically quiet, appearing to be shy and nervous. He is kindhearted however, understanding how tough one's life can be. He will always do his best to help people, despite what may become of him. He prioritises others over himself. Zen becomes afraid easily and is untrusting of others, due to his past experiences. OOC NOTES OOC INFORMATION Player Note I have a very clear distinction when it comes to OOC/IC. They must remain separate at all times if we are to RP together, especially on an extended basis and I reserve the right to end interactions should this be impeded upon. I've been burnt heavily by people mistaking IC care and OOC friendship and attention with romantic regard and honestly I don't wish to go through another such debacle once more. If my character dislikes yours that does not mean I hold the same sentiment. If my character loves yours that does not translate to me feeling the same for you, though I might feel a platonic equivalent. I am not my characters and they are not me. Respect this and we shall get along famously. Personal RP Limits I don't have very many hardcore limits honestly as I feel consequences must be adhered to when RPing any character regardless of whom they might be. However there are a few exceptions to this and they are as follows. ■ I will play Almost anything that isn't described below. ■ I won't play Death, Rape, Maiming, ERP only Plots. I don't mind romance but it needs to be earned and respected. Do not try and force your character on to mine. If I feel this is the case I will quickly end the RP and speak with you OOCly to either correct the issue or end the RP connection between the two in a faithful manner both parties can agree upon. I can get pretty into RPing out consequences however and while I do my best to make sure permission is had and everyone is comfortable I'm not perfect. If you have a problem speak up. ■ This is a broad statement for all my characters, but I have a hard limit of at least two months before I'll allow my character to enter a relationship. A good friend mentioned their own rule regarding this and I greatly respected the idea of it, so I'll be putting it into practice myself. I've been burned far too many times by hasty RP relationships and want to make it clear from the get go so there is no misunderstanding. If your character is trying to romance my own, be prepared for it to take awhile.
