Character

General

A young woman that followed her dream, got derailed somewhere along the way, but is determined to make the best of her situation...or at least survive it. Battle is sort of like a dance...right? ...At least it's an adventure!

Appearance

X'vhatikih is pretty tall...for a Miqo'te girl, which means she's about average for a Midlander woman and still staring up at the shortest Roegadyn. Her figure is sort-of hourglass like...at least as close as one of the Miqo'te, with their natural lean, feline-esque shape can get. More like a dancer's body. Or it would be, except Vhati's chest is pretty large for one of her people too. Complaints about how it gets in the way during a fight or dance are the most common things one can hear her utter to another woman.

Neck-length sandy hair is accented by old, faded trails of lavender from tribal festivals. Her dark, bronzed skin isn't without flaw, but just about nobody from the Sagolii can boast that. Her auspicious heterochromic eyes sit under a brow almost as bushy as her fluffy tail, which is just fine thank you very much. Plucking your brows down to nothing is something for Lalafell nobles and vain Hyur women! Nothing wrong with natural Miqo'te beauty!

Notably, she possesses three scars on her face. One small one on the nose from a childhood accident (that she remembers fondly despite the scolding), and one on each side of her face. These are more recent looking, and quite obviously the result of violence of some sort...but Vhati doesn't talk about what caused them.

Behavior

Loud, a bit brash, not quite brazen. This is the girl who, upon being presented by her mother with 'traditional garments' to leave the tribe with, shouted that she'd rather go in a sack than wear 'that tiny bandage of a skirt.' As one might expect, the...particular nature of many Ul'Dahn ladies' conversations is apt to make her flustered and uncomfortable.

Despite wearing something more reasonable these days she still keeps the revealing outfit...just in case she needs it to impress a date.

She'll drink after a hard day's work with the best of them, and isn't shy about giving her opinion on anything, even when in utterly unfamiliar territory. While she espouses the virtues of Oschon's way of life, Vhati is likely to bring her tribal customs and beliefs with her rather than simply conforming to the local color easily. On the job (whatever that is today) she's about as serious as the situation demands, but always seems to be looking for an excuse to engage in sardonic witticisms and acerbic commentary.

Prone to leaping before she looks, but not in the habit of judging others (too harshly), Vhati is rapidly developing a reputation for being the leader of 'the trouble caravan.'

Combat

General

Ever since she was a tiny tyke, X'vhatikih wanted to dance, and move, and jump, and just about anything that involved being in motion. But mostly dance. Circumstances have kept her from that path professionally so far, but there's a surprising amount of similarity in the bare-handed fighting arts and an impromptu dance routine. Accordingly when the Miqo'te refers to the various fighting techniques she's learned in her short time with the Pugilist's Guild, it's usually under cover of various dance terms, and her style is exceptionally agile. The various hora, himantes, and claw weapons she uses are to her unnecessary, but sometimes a hide just won't be pierced by your own claws.

Tendencies

Likes

  • Being free to go where she wills.
  • Good food, good drinks, good company.
  • Being recognized for more than her appearance.

Dislikes

  • People assuming racial stereotypes about her.
  • Pushy, arrogant folk, especially men looking to get lucky.
  • Being stuck in one place with no way out.

Hobbies/Talents

  • DANCE!
  • Designing performance costumes she'll never use. :(

Other

Relationships

Family

X'vhatikih is in an odd spot. She has a brother and sister younger than herself from her mother...but their father is not her own. X'vhatikih bears the secret stigma of being the child of a Tia, rather than one of her tribe's recognized Nunh. She tells this to no-one and continues to use her ostensible father's name, thanking Azeyma every day that nobody's figured it out yet thanks to her mixed resemblance to both her parents.

As for who her biological father is...she either doesn't know, or isn't saying.

Friends

X'vhatikih Qhulu hasn't MADE any good friends yet! D:

Enemies

Nor, thankfully, does she have many big enemies around either. Just one.

X'pahlodhu Nunh: A Lynx tribe Nunh from another territory that attempted to claim Vhati for his own and precipitated the events that led to her leaving her tribe. She didn't like the idea of being with him at all (he was a boor at best in her mind), and they fought when he tried to keep her from leaving his harem, union unconsummated. She earned her scars then, but Pahlodhu earned rather more severe injuries, and has sought to pull Vhati down to his newly un-dignified, un-handsome looking level ever since.

Thankfully, he hasn't followed her to Ul'Dah.

City Life: Though she's adapting, X'vhatikih is still bewildered by city life, and sometimes gets lost trying to get around without the Aethernet. The city is louder than her, confusing as hell to get through, smells like too many people in too small a space, and unless she's kitted out for combat or manufacture, everyone seems to assume she's one of those dancing girls shaking their rears in the thoroughfares in far too little covering!

There's never enough money, never enough work, never enough booze, never enough food...it's enough to make a girl wish she'd never left home! Almost.

Rumors

Common Rumors

  • "Who? Oh, her? Got a chip on her shoulder a malm long! Tried to say hello and she hit me! And now she's a registered Pugilist!" - many an unfortunate man
  • "That Miqo'te girl? Hm. Always seems like coming back into the city's ruining her day." - a Brass Blade

History/Timeline

Not much to say here! The lady likes to dance, but has always hated being ogled, is the illicit child of a Tia from the Lynx tribe, and left for the city and wider Eorzea after a Nunh claiming her tried to assault her when she refused his claim. She isn't a veteran adventurer, doesn't know anyone from the Battle of Carteneau, has never heard of most of the strange things in the world, and is generally a desert hayseed still.

The majority of this is OOC information, collected here so I could nail down things and find it later when I don't remember what I said. :)
