History
Zarek's past is a well kept secret, as he scarcely speaks of his previous endeavors. What is known is that he shared many of his cycles with
Eyristyrn Elileynwyn, and the two fought back-to-back against a world that tested their ability to survive as well as their moral judgement.
Personality
Though Zarek is reserved and secretive, he remains observant of those around him and serves as a good listener. Never coming off as a hostile individual, Zarek can still manage to put others at unease with strikingly neutral expressions in many social situations. He loathes sarcasm and claims to dislike indirect speech, or 'game-playing', though he has been known to occasionally participate in vague metaphors and evasive conversation.
Combat/Abilities
Zarek is a masterful martial artist. He is proficient with bladed weapons, though prefers daggers above all else. His true talent lies in evasion and disarms, while his offensive strikes are more thoughtfully planned and efficiently executed.
He also exhibits some skill in both aetheric manipulation, utilizing fire, earth and wind in combat to sometimes devastating effect without the need for a focus or staff. More often than not, he will do so as a distraction, or to enhance his physical strikes. However, he employs a trademark magickal ability to breathe fire- both by collecting the aether of a flame in his lungs and by releasing it in a brilliant stream of destructive power. Some might believe this gift to have been bestowed upon him by Hydaelyn herself, others dismiss it as mere trickery enhanced by thaumaturgy. Either way, Zarek has proven to be a deadly fighter.

- ● Roaring Ember : Of his new allies, Ember has become something of a partner to Zarek. They often hunt together, are seen in each other's company around the estate, and seem to have more of an understanding of each other than most. Perhaps through her acceptance of his quiet nature, and his acceptance of her boisterous attitude, they have become close friends. Or is it more than acceptance?
- ● Eyristyrn Elileynwyn : Zarek's oldest friend. Little is known of their interpersonal relationship, though they have worked together closely to this day.
- ● Y'lyfriel Sikah : During a recent recovery period of his, Lyfriel devoted much of her time to Zarek. From vigilant mending to mere examination borne from her own curiosity, Lyfriel is one of the few who remained determined in her attempts to draw more conversation from the quiet man, and she has made notable progress.
- ● Vesna Novaar : Though he's yet to admit it openly, Zarek is very interested in the unusual events surrounding this woman, and her extraordinary traits. Perhaps his offer to aid in her rescue was not purely selfless?
- ● Z'koa Rhiki : Zarek's third pupil.She has only begun to train under Zarek, and though her attraction to him has proven to be quite a distraction, the man remains infinitely patient with her. He recognizes her talent, and believes she will make an incredible warrior with a bit of tuning.
- ● E'liah Tia : Zarek's second pupil. E'liah's incredibly energetic and affectionate ways are in stark contrast to Zarek's reserved nature, but they are both close, and are quite protective of one another.
- ● Ainle Goldpaw : Zarek's first pupil. He is a strong youth with an even stronger heart, and Zarek feels he embodies the soul of a Paladin well.
