A'pasu Tia

basics

A detective by trade, A'pasu spends much of his time skulking in the underbelly of Ul'dah. His practices are unorthodox when it comes to investigation and recon - he's been wont to resort to underhanded methods to get what he needs from those he hunts. Drinking, seducing, maiming - none of these are below him so long as he gets his job done. Currently, he has no affiliation with any GC or military force, and works solely in self-interest in regards to who he chooses to side with. This put aside, he's aligned himself with the forces of vaguely good, and spends his time tracking down slavers and drug dealers in order to collect the bounty on their heads.

Be not fooled by his pretty features: just beneath that smiling exterior is a quick-fisted fighter ready to take you down and throw you behind bars where you belong. Petty crimes are of no interest to him, and as such, pickpockets and thieves are not on his radar - it's the big fish he's after, and once he's got one in his sights, he'll hunt until his prey is caught.

appearance and personality

A'pasu Tia stands at an average 5'7, frame filled out with muscle toned from fistfighting. Despite this, he remains fairly lithe, though not skinny in any way - his shoulders proud, legs strong, hands well-worn with work. His hair is a chocolate brown, pushed back from his forehead, though a few strands do hang down into his face. A pale white tri-claw tattoo adorns the outer corner of both his eyes, which are a white-gold, brow often creased with some ongoing introspection. His tail is on the shorter side and decidedly fluffy.

He changes his tone according to situation - an emotional chameleon of sorts, he mirrors his surroundings, cheekiness or sincerity or desperation coming to him as easily as they would were he to feel them legitimately. He's a good actor, making undercover his best method of investigation: when playing a role, his personal morality goes on vacation, and he's able to fit whatever part he's taken on seamlessly. Upon first glance, he's generally unassuming, and when approached will put on a friendly demeanor - but in the end, his goals come before his own personality, and he changes flawlessly to accommodate this lifestyle.

However, at heart, he's a bit of a brat; snark, sarcasm, and foulmouthed innuendos are the foundations of his personality. He's known to sneer and when the mask comes off, he isn't the friendliest person, but with persistence one would be able to move past that prickliness.
