✖ PLAYER INFORMATION ✖

Light-Medium Role-player from the Eastern Standard Timezone (EST) - I generally am on between the times of 1 pm EST to about 10 pm Est. I generally RP in emotes, /say, and dedicated RP channels unless the situation dictates otherwise. If a whisper comes through that appears to be role-play related, I will switch to IC to personally chat with the person; however, I tend to stay out of character unless I have specifically entered an RP environment.
Role-play Romance/Relationships - My character is not actively seeking a romantic and/or physical relationship; however, this does not mean she is opposed to them. These must occur naturally in the course of events. Please do not seek my character out strictly for ERP -- you will be politely told to relax.

Do: Most RP themes ranging from dark, sordid, and questionable, to the other side of the spectrum with the light-hearted, humorous, and dramatic. Short-term, long-term plots. Romantic, platonic, and interesting.
Ask: Anything that is dramatically character-changing, or may have extremely negative implications for my character. If you're unsure of where I'll go, please ask. Communication is key!
Don't: Permanent character death. Permanently maiming or crippling my character.

PERSONALITY

Baris happens to be a rather thoughtful Hyur. Deciding to think most of the time before acting, but he does it all with a smile. The male is usually in high spirits, and tends to speak in a most optimistic manner. When serious, Baris will show his feelings through expression of mouth. Though this has only happened on few and far occasions.

APPEARANCE

With a svelte physique, Baris actually contains a fine amount of muscle tone but lacking in muscle bulk. With broad shoulders, long arms, long torso, flat abdomen, and thin waist as well as powerful legs, Baris was built in a way that one would say resembled a 'V' shape. Shaggy blonde hair covered the mael's head. His eyes though would be devoid of any light. Pale, filmy viridian hues would greet anyone that looked into them. His face held several scars, though they had healed nicely enough to not come off as frightening. One across his cheek, and another over his nose. Usually always smiling, Baris chose to convey his emotions through them. Trying to find him with a frown would be difficult to do.

COMBAT & WEAPONRY

Unknown to most, Baris was a well trained martial artist. Choosing to not rely on aether for fighting, he would display his heightened senses when fighting. His combat seemed to flow naturally instead of added onto with the dangerously explosive aether.

CHILDHOOD

Fire

Fire and smoke. The smell of burning cedar filled the air quickly as the flames worked their way across the threshold and into the small bedroom. Crawling up the wooden walls, and weaving its way around the boards and pillars that kept the ceiling up. A scream echoed noisily as the sounds of tiny footsteps and bodies ran around the room. Eight beds with twelve children, all awake and searching desperately for an exit. Suddenly a creak would have most of movements cease. Turning their heads up just as the cave-in occurred. The twisted clamor of wood rumbling further down, bending the floor beneath until it turn cracked and fell. With a roar of the cool night's wind, the fire picked up in pace, spreading throughout the entire building and engulfing it fully.

Silence, the screams died out as the fire crackled, and peeled at the walls. A heavy weight laid atop of a boy, his arms struggling to push against whatever it was that had fallen atop him. Small grunts as he pounded his fists against it, he would try to kick his legs but they would not move. Something else laid atop them, though it felt less solid and more soft. Almost as if a bag of water had covered his legs. On occasion he would open his eyes, though nothing would greet him but the darkness of smoke. Stinging his hues the boy would close them tightly. Each breath he took seemed to tear at his lungs, causing him to cough heavily as he tried to yell.

"HEL-..." he'd cough, hand moving to his throat. Massaging it roughly until finally the finally in a weak voice. "Help...Help..." His voice croaked, his throat and lips cracked as they dried out quickly. Trying to take deep breaths only forced out more coughing, his head becoming light as his hands began to slide away from the object that pinned his chest down. Nails digging into it one last time until finally his hands fell onto the floor by his sides. Tears formed, attempting to escape his shut lids as they ran down his cheeks only to vanish from the heat of the surrounding area.

Laying there, pinned to the floor in the burning building the boy seemed to give up to fate. No longer struggling to escape, or could it have been that he no longer possessed the strength to do so. Feeling the world around him slowly fade into the distance, the cracking of the fire almost sounded like laughter. Laughing at him for his futile attempt at freeing himself. Laughing at him for not having the ability to save himself. He frowned, tears still making to leave his eyes. With a final breath outwards, he swore he could hear something else. "BA-...-OS!...BAR-...SSS..." The fire seemed to be speaking to him. His frown turned into a smile. At least he wouldn't die in silence.
