Biography

Once an archer in Ishgard's army, Bastien was scouting in the outer hinterlands when the Calamity struck. The chaos and abrupt climate change left him stranded with no way of knowing if Ishgard had survived. The cold forced him into the Chocobo Forest, where he adapted to a life in the wilds, even reaching a tentative coexistence with some of the dragons and beastkin.

He lives in the woods around Tailfeather, and the hunters there have grown used to seeing him infrequently. Some have invited him to rejoin civilization, but he has yet to take them up on it.

Appearance & Personality

His long mess of hair is badly in need of a comb and trim, the bulk of it tied up out of his face. He wears enough furs to protect his modesty and limbs from the wild, but otherwise the only thing on his skin is a healthy layer of dirt. His left ear is nicked on the underside and faded claw marks line his neck; teeth marks linger on his upper left bicep, and burn scars trail down his right side. He speaks with a rough, halting voice that hasn't been used for years and prefers open spaces to buildings. He's very curious about civilization, remembering fragments of when he used to live in a town, and has little concept of personal space, but means no harm.
