"Cassius Nerva" is an adventurer with no particular end goal in mind, wholly focused on just continuing his travels however he may. Self-possessed and generally amicable, he has little trouble making friends or acquaintances through his adventuring and has amassed a sizeable network of contacts that rarely leaves him wanting for work.

Appearance & Personality

Appearing to be somewhere in his mid to late twenties, Cassius is the very model of a seasoned adventurer. Well-kept blonde hair frames a somewhat rugged face marred by a singular scar stretching from temple to jaw, a reminder of a time when he was less knowledgeable and prepared for the dangers of the world. He stands just a bit taller than the average Midlander and has a build that while not bulky suggests he earns most of his coin by doing physically demanding work. He tends to wear easy to move in cloth and leather gear when on the road, but when the situation calls for it can sometimes be seen in a set of full plate armor.

Though calm and composed, Cassius is a genuinely friendly individual and enjoys a good conversation, be it with a fellow adventurer met on the road or a someone he's encountered during his downtime in one town or another. He doesn't often speak of his past and when not out in the wilderness can most often be found sat somewhere in an Inn or tavern with a book cracked open, reading being one of his less martial hobbies. It's rare for him to stay in one place for long, however, and it's rather easy to convince him to set out on even a trivial quest if it puts him back out on the road.

Miscellaneous

• Cassius owns a large draught chocobo that serves as his primary mode of transportation, as travel by aetheryte seems to leave him severely weakened and nauseous more often than not. Curiously, travel by ship doesn't seem to have any effect on him and he's rather fond of a quiet voyage across the sea. He seems familiar enough with nautical terms, suggesting he's spent a decent amount of time at sea or in the air.
• As a way to drum up more work for himself, Cassius has posted bulletins in many major cities and settlements throughout Eorzea with linkpearls attached that connect directly to him. If someone were to seek his services they'd merely need to find one such notice and reach out.
• Cassius tends to favor wearing the same outfit whenever he travels and doesn't expect combat to be a factor, a rather worn set of linen and leather and his ever present black cap. It's rare for him to be seen without it on his head or tucked into his belt, and he seems to panic if he loses sight of it.

RELATIONS ♥ Romantic Interest    ♥ Platonic Love     ● Good Standing     ● Poor Standing ● Synerva Devereux: A strange woman who dragged Cassius into an all out brawl in the middle of Red Rooster Stead, then left without so much as a word of thanks for his assistance. This did not leave him with a good impression of her. ● Daeva Jayanti: Shared a meal with Cassius while he rested on a bench in Ul'dah, and he liked her company well enough, though she was somewhat mysterious. By the time they'd parted ways he owed her a meal in return and the two made plans to meet the next time he was in the city. ● Shoi Lavant: A brief encounter in Gridania has since turned into a series of chance meetings around Eorzea, with Shoi expressing an interest in hiring Cassius on for some work she has lined up.
