Character
General
Cedane is a compassionate young woman who is willing to help anyone around her. She is known to always go to Gridania or Revenant's Toll, using her talents as a conjurer to heal the wounded and protect those around her. She takes the 'protecting' part a bit too seriously though.
Appearance
She is a midlander that is of average height. Her eye color is a deep blue though her left eye has taken an unusual light blue color. Her hair is a mix of brunette with the ends growing to a light blonde color with light freckles adorning her face. A light scar is seen across her face. She is always wearing a gray coat over a white sweater and long leather boots.
Behavior
Cedane is a very kind, but very forgetful, young lady. This is what leads her to randomly get lost in Eorzea despite having traversed the same road several times. She never gets lost in the Black Shroud though! Her compassion extends to everyone... even people who are cruel and will forgive them after some time has passed. It is very rare that she will stay angry at anyone for long unless they have hurt her but even in anger, she will help them with all her heart. However, she isn't someone that doesn't like to fail the people she cares about.

General
Conjurer
First and foremost, Cedane Alvey is a conjurer and very proud of it. Unlike most conjurers, Cedane prefers to wield a wand over a long staff as her focus point. She feels more comfortable with a buckler on her arm to defend herself if someone ever got too close. Her healing magic and understanding of the natural elements is very strong, almost as much to match her compassion.
Gladiator/Paladin?
That doesn't mean she isn't capable of defending herself. Give the woman a blade and she will cut her opponent down if she has to. These were things she studied while living in Ul'dah with her family with the belief she might be better suited off as a Paladin then a Conjurer. Still, she doesn't let that talent go to waste. Cedane is more then willing to prove any poor sap that she isn't just a weak mage needing protection.

Family
Frendel Alvey- Cedane's older sister. They grew up together on their small farm until the Calamity hit and were forced to seek refuge in Ul'dah. Since then, she hasn't seen much of her sister since returning to Gridania. Despite the time apart, she is very close to her sister and likes to tease her or find 'cute clothing to dress her in.'
Rolando Alvey- Cedane and Frendel's father. He is a midlander with brunette hair that couldn't lift a pot to save his life. He is eccentric and used to take joy in "inventing" things to make life easier for his "two princesses" out on the field. They never worked. Now, he works repairing things in Ul'dah and looks forward to meeting his children when they pay the family a visit.
Valkari Alvey - Cedane and Frendel's mother. She is a very tall, and very strong, highlander with light blonde hair. 'Tame' is not the word for her. She was the one physically working on the field and personally punching any bandits in the face. She didn't mind the work or showing her daughters the field and never could convince Rolando she didn't need the 'help' but loved him for it. While those days are gone, she lives with her husband in Ul'dah, settling with Rolando to let their kids go out and have their adventure.

Currently, she is dating no one.
Friends
Sukina Cassady- At first it was one sided dislike, though Cedane was oblivious to it until Sukina confessed it much later. Since then, she regards her as a strong woman and a very good friend. She is also planning to marry her to Sabathius the second the two tie the knot. She anticipates it!
Sabathius Lath'Lani-Originally she first met him by offering a playful flirt(though she meant it as a joke), she has seen him as a friend and willing to stack up potions like a hoarder in her bag in case he got hurt since her cures tend to nearly kill him then they do help him.
Hitari Senjougahara- Cedane considers Hitari a great friend, having first met in a spar and greatly enjoying the time they get to relax and chat about different things. She doesn't know it but Cedane plots to buy a beautiful dress for her and for Yonene to let them be the cutest sisters ever.
Plajinn Arvisu- A dragoon who is, quite literally, the complete opposite of Cedane in many ways. Yet it is his strong demeanor, refusing to give up and that sense of protection is what made her fall in love with him in the first place. That or she is really into loner men. Currently, the two have taken a break from their relationship to see what each other want for themselves. Still, the stubborn dragoon has a special place in her heart and she's still watching him..... just in case.
Citlali Althaea- A cute miqo'te that she feels a kinship due to the fact they both studied as Conjurers. While feeling a bit guilty for giving her much work in her absence, she has grown to respect and like her. She knows she will be a fantastic Conjurer who will go to even greater heights.

History/Timeline
Before Calamity-
Cedane Alvey was living on the farm with her family. She wasn't very good at tending to their crops and only got in her mother and Frendel's way. She was known to sneak off from work to take long strolls in the forest and visit their neighbors. She enjoyed watching Frendel train with their family sword and supported her sister's dream of becoming a Wood Wailer. Life was peaceful.
Calamity-
The Garlean invasion and Dalamud falling from the sky brought much panic. While their parents fled, Cedane wanted to get her moogle doll from the house. A small batch of garleans were invading at that time and forced Cedane to hide or else be killed. She watched Frendel manage to kill the Garlean from a window, much to Frendel's horror afterwards. Bahamut's attack had struck the house along with the rest of the forest, causing it to collapse and Cedane was stuck underneath. Half her face saw the bright lights and the destruction above. It was so bright, it blinded her eye.
After Calamity-
Five years later, the Alvey family had migrated over to Ul'dah to seek shelter. Cedane chose to stay behind for Gridania and the Black Shroud was her home, wanting to join the Conjurer's and become a Listener. Frendel gave her blade, the Valkyrie Feather, to Cedane and she decided to learn how to use it even though she felt her sister should be the one to use it. She could not focus very well and, thus, her training was very, very slow.
