Appearance
Chaska is strange miqo'te. Well known amongst her former Keeper family as the oddball for her appearance. She stands around five and a half feet. Fairly tall for a female keeper. Her weight is about 124 pounds. She was originally more than a little overweight during her time with her clan, but has since shed those pounds in her wandering around Eorzea. Traveling on foot and eating well portioned amounts of food as helped her slim down. She has built up quite a bit of strength in her arms and legs since then. Nothing like carrying boxes and bags of food and running away from hungry canines to get fit.
Staring. Chaska does lots of staring with her big and pale yellow eyes. They're large enough that she looks surprised quite often without meaning to. Or overly focused. Again not on purpose. She has strange ears. They're longer than a miqo'te's ears normally are. Enough to merit some teasing from others once in a while. And plenty in her past when she was a youngling. Really they're only a few ilms longer, but standing attention it is quite noticeable. On top of that a third of her tail is missing. A whole chunk biten off. She never explains why. One portion closer to the end is almost always wrapped in a bandage. When removed you can see that portion is missing a chunk of fur on the top side. Everything up to now is complimented with wild dark plum hair. The ends flip out everywhere and she can hardly tame her mane no matter how much she brushes or preens.
Personality
She's... She's nice. As long as you don't push her buttons or be blatantly rude. Chaska has her opinions, and while she's a generally kind miqo'te there are just some things that will drive her to smack someone upside the head if necessary to get her point across. It takes quite an extreme action to push her to that point. But she really isn't a bad person. For the most part. At least not completely evil. Chaska likes people who don't grate her nerves like cheese as she is an easily annoyed individual given the right circumstances. She tends to make meals for her companions and then extras to go around due to being a more generous miqo'te at heart. If her friends are sick you can guarantee she will bring them a toasty bowl of soup or their favorite meal. And bake sweet treats on top of that.
To say she works hard is a bit of an understatement. She might work too hard sometimes. To the point she should and does have dark circles under her big eyes. Someone should probably direct her to go get sleep at some point or another. Chaska is driven and determined to get to her goal. A house where she can have the biggest kitchen in the world if she wants to. All to herself where no one can steal her food. Ever. She plans on making it a restaurant and a location to craft food to deliver to the homeless and those in need.
Meddlesome is a great word to describe her. She might crop up in situations that call for someone to intervene and lend a helping hand to the, hopefully right, party in need. But at the same time she also intervenes when it might not be necessary or she hasn't been called on for help. She sticks her nose where it doesn't belong. And sometimes likes to pick up on chatter from nearby folk she knows for information. Probably because she has a curious and nosy nature. Living amongst her other Keepers has made her patient. And given the opportunity and right conditions she can sit or stand and wait forever for something to happen. She can stare until the other party gets uncomfortable enough to break, or they blink. A staring contest champion.
Eorzea dwellers beware, she is a creature of mischief. And if she feel up to it and she's bored enough she will play a series of elaborate and well though out pranks. For some reaosn folk never suspect the mute miqo'te with a penchant for cooking. The perfect villain to put hot sauce in your meal.
Quick History
Her family, as she claims, resides in the Shroud. Her clan of Keepers sticks to their tradition, and while they are a small group, they thrive for the most part. While Chaska was born into this group she felt and still feels as if she didn't and never will belong. Although she has a younger sister who still resides there as far as she knows she had a lot of difficulty growing up amongst her fellow miqo'te. She was born mute, and the inability to speak did and does make it awkward for her to communicate. She certainly is an effective hunter, but they never quite treated her the same. Every day they awkwardly tiptoed around her or gave her unexciting tasks such as cooking or tending to smaller things. They seemed to have low expectations for her even with her skills.
The awkwardness became a bit too much for Chaska. And after some traumatic experiences, a broken heart, her sister picking her up off the ground, and a messy argument with her sibling she vanished off during the early rise of a sun leaving a letter and the majority of her possessions behind in the process. Poof. Gone. She also left her sister behind much to Flavah's dismay.
And with that she began her travels around Eorzea looking for homes in all the wrong places. Most of her gil is earned from small cooking jobs. Helping out folk who need a quick meal and whatnot. The rest is earned from doing the odd job here and there. She never makes a whole lot. Most folk look at her funny because she has to hold up a big 'LOOKING FOR WORK' sign. Time spent in some of the more seedy areas of Eorzea taught her to use what she knows best. So she took a kitchen knife in hand and learned how to defend herself with small blades. Easily hidden and effective for getting the job done.
Eventually after a long time of meandering and working on that cooking skill in different cities put her in front of a notice. A notice regarding recruitment for new members of the Coral Sea. So she decided to take up the offer. Much to her dismay the first thing she noticed was that her note -may- have been read wrong at the induction. And on top of that the weird leader of the group decided it would be a wonderful idea to grope her face in front of everyone. A great start to the chaos that takes place in her free company group. Murders, assaults, berry thieves, cake ghosts, and everything else possible makes her day to day interactions as interesting as possible.
Chaska is currently putting all her focus into cooking like mad. She wants to be the best of the best. At least that's what she thinks as it's what she does best. Trying to put all her focus into cooking at least. Some Coralites seem intent on going through with sabotage. Cake related sabotage for the most part.

The Coral Sea: A member of this group of crazies. Chaska feels as though they put her through chaos often. She's not quite sure if she wants to stay, but there's a free kitchen.
Flavah Dakwhil: Chaska's only mentioned family member by name. Fondly mentioned and considered one of her closest companions. She gave Chaska enough trinkets that she has a large box filled with them. The two often write back and forth to each other. Chaska seems to miss her a lot. To the point she feels lonely sometimes.
Reginald Ozrik: A really nice male hyur. Chaska gives him food sometimes, and is generally concerned for his health. If he dies she'll lose one sane member of Coral after all. When she feels weirded out or uncomfortable she tends to make a beeline for familiar folk like Reginald. She has expressed her concerns regarding Coral with him in the past, but hasn't recently. Reginald has been upgraded to comfy man pillow friend. Chaska really appreciates him. A lot. Reginald accidentally made a deal with an unsettling elezen woman who promises cures and remedies for anything. She weakened his sight and Chaska made a deal to go gather ice crystals in order to restore it.
R'Sass: An upbeat miqo'te sibling to R'ostam. Chaska doesn't know much about her, but she seems friendly and easy to like for the most part. She hasn't seen her since the outing to look for some lalafell.
R'ostam: The rough and tumble, at least as far as Chaska knows, brother to R'Sass. Chaska is supposed to have a brawl to determine who will train who in the future. Be it with daggers or fists. She hasn't seen him in quite a bit actually.
Jancis Milburga: A female hyur. Chaska seems to like her, but she seems rather weary of her at times due to previous encounters. She has entrusted the conjurer with her journal in hopes it will give Jancis some insight into her thoughts and intentions. Chaska is more than a little unsettled by her at times because of her rapid changes in emotions from past events. Chaska tries her best to hide from Jancis lately, and has since the Syl Skillet event. She assumes Jancis hates her although she doesn't hate Jancis herself. Jancis gave Chaska a whistle after she stopped hiding under the covers! She had to refrain from crying because it was a very nice gift!
Sigurd Rainecourt: A sensible hyur who's in a relationship with Reinette. Chaska believes he is at least well read, and has been helping him out with staying nourished while injured. He has a weird coblyn pet in his room and library.
Renaud Becquerel: The creepy leader of Coral. He creeps Chaska out a lot. In the touch your face during your first meeting with them kind of creepy. She does her best to avoid him and has a multitude of questions about him regarding his skills and abilities as a leader.
Dhemgeim Shyrdoenwyn (Deceased): Chaska doesn't know much else about this roegadyn. Besides the fact she just married Tau and she was at the wedding to witness the madness of them sprouting wings. She reacted violently to someone's advances towards her fiance. Besides that they haven't had much interaction. She's let Chaska off the hook and found her beating Syl more hilarious than anything. Chaska didn't agree.
Tausenadel Geispyrsyn: He seems like an easy fellow to like. Minus the fact he may or may not have almost gotten someone accidentally killed thanks to some poor choices. She hopes he can help her get a handle on a rowdy wolf pup before she has to give him up. She's not quite sure if she trusts him yet, but she did get to go to their wedding.
Staelufre Lysmerl: A weird miqo'te. Really weird. Furniture crawling weird. She doesn't seem to know much about cooking and offered Chaska a job to help her and her mate with the cooking. She has written at least one part of All My Eorzea. Chaska has a hard time understanding her speech a lot of the time. Chaska refuses to let her in the kitchen after a house fire. She's actually grown to dislike Staelufre after a series of privacy invading events. She also does not approve of her brutal and uncivil behavior towards both the living and dead. She considers Staelufre to be wasteful and inconsiderate.
Reinette Sompt: A very nice elezen. One of the nicer more sane elezen Chaska has met in the Coral house. She handed Chaska a journal, courtesy of L'aenoh. She seems intelligent and kind, and is the girlfriend of Sigurd. Chaska seems to like her and considers her someone reliable and trustworthy.
L'aenoh Tia: Staelufre's weird mate. Not as weird as Staelufre, but still weird. He seems to have a side of mischief, but is very upfront. She's already smacked him across the face once for mishandling the dead. He eats a lot of her food. Chaska thinks he's a bit stupid especially after making a deal with a possibly evil elezen woman and being her apprentice. She refuses to let him in the kitchen after the Coral kitchen incident. He has no sense of privacy. And might be a bit evil.
Rinhilda Stonebreaker: A peculiar hyur. Chaska doesn't know much about her besides she up and vanishes sometimes.
Memeli Meli: Also known as Meli the Menace and the Pinka Menace. A being possibly made entirely of pure evil and chaos all wrapped up in one tiny lalafell sized bundle. She has pink hair, a large unrelenting pair of eyes, and a bottomless stomach. While she may be cute her evil tactics and destructive behavior has been the cause of many failed dishes and missing completed projects that happen to be edible. Chaska thinks she may be a secret primal related to hunger, but she's not entirely sure. Either way she steers clear of Memeli especially after claims of torture and being blamed for a kitchen fire.
Chuchukepa Hohokepa: A lalafell who is apart of the Coral group. He seems to get caught up in all the drama often. And is often a victim of it. She feels bad for him, but hasn't had much of a chance to interact with him.
Syl Souther: Chaska doesn't know much about this hyur. Outside of the fac Dhemgeim tried to kill her and ended up delivering quite the series of blows over a misunderstanding. Chaska recently hit her on the back of the head with a frying pan because she was vandalizing a very important cake Chaska had just whipped up and put on display. Chaska apologized, but Syl got over it for the most part. Syl doesn't seem to trust her one bit.
Jeris Guillford: Apparently a friend or something to Syl. He has offered Chaska a job. Sort of. And called her a monster over the linkshell. She has recently agreed to try out the whole job offer Jeris put on the table. He doesn't seem to sure of her abilities, but agreed nonetheless. Chaska caught him trying on shoes one day. Weirdo.
Certia: We don't talk about her. Ever.
Nixa Shaana: Chaska doesn't know much about Nixa. Other than she might be silly, sarcastic, unpredictable, or a mix of those three. Really she has no idea what's going on with this miqo'te.
Wyra Panipahr: A miqo'te with a twin. She seems nice. Chaska doesn't know much about her or the other miqo'te. Besides the light teasing regarding Reginald.
Ja'ren A'lenthin: A fellow member of Coral. He seems to enjoy shenanigans as far as Chaska knows, and has had a hand in creating at least one part of All My Eorzea. The two have become a legitimate and serious couple instead of just trying. They had a fight, but recovered from it after a while and they're working on the trust portion of their relationship. She spends quite a bit of time with him when not working or talking to others and is very open about most everything with him. She relies on him as a source of comfort and good company even when there's teasing or a challenge has been issued. Somehow he brings out a tiny spark of courage in her from time to time. Ja'ren has asked Chaska to marry him, but she intends to wait until she feels she's ready and a person worth marrying.
Edda Eglantine: Edda has taught Chaska a little about playing the harpsichord! Chaska appreciates this very much. She sees Edda as someone who's quiet, but easy to get along with. She helps her practice music from time to time and has promised to keep it a secret. From Ja'ren.
Ehla Selhah: Chaska has briefly bumped into this miqo'te a few times throughout her time in Coral. She seems sneaky and elusive. And a messy eater. Chaska thinks she's e v i l and tells terrible lies.
Finecia Hawke: Only seen briefly here and there. She spends a lot of time with R'lexia. She's very tall. And seems serious. Mostly. But also friendly even though she's incredibly stoic.
R'lexia Thras: She seems stubborn. Very stubborn. At least to Chaska. Or maybe prideful. Chaska has offered up food for her before, but she never seems to truly enjoy it to the fullest. Or love it at least. It's always 'okay' or 'I like something else better'. She hopes one day she can cook up something R'lexia would actually enjoy. Completely.
Leanne Delphium: A grumpy cat. Chaska doesn't know much about her outside of the fact she doesn't seem to have drive or direction and might need a little or a lot of help. She seemed friendly before, but that might only be when she's finding humor at the expense of others. Like when Leanne gave Chaska's rump a good smack for the sake of hilarity. Banned from any food Chaska will ever make for the time being.
Tiergan Vashir: A friend of Ja'ren and L'aenoh and a few others in the free company possibly. Chaska doesn't know too much about him, but she assumes he's easily angered. She's give him a few sweet treats, but besides that they haven't interacted much outside of a few conversations and some staring.
Faezbhar Rysswilf: Chaska met this roegadyn in Gridania. He seems to be the jolly sort and a good humored fellow with a love for alcohol and possibly food. He seems a bit oblivious to Chaska's communication via body language, but is a good friend nonetheless. She sees him as a good drinking friend, but is unsure how reliable he would be in the kitchen or on the battlefield. He doesn't look too combat ready in her opinion.
Kolhi'to Embhre: Based on all the interaction she's had with him Chaska sees him as a nice miqo'te. He appears agreeable, and helpful as well as sociable. He even offered to help her with delivery food to children and poor families during the Starlight Celebration. She's being allowed to stay at his house and utilize the kitchen after the Coral kitchen incident!
Other Notes
Chaska doesn't trust chocobos. She doesn't like them. In fact she stays as far away from them as possible.
She's fairly adept in using knives combat wise.
Her birthday is the sixth sun of the twelveth umbral moon.
She forgets her birthday a lot.
