Overview
As a student of the "Thaliak Theologian Academy of Higher Learning" (more beatifically known as the Halls of Ivy), Chi has spent his waking hours dutifully in prayer and study. Adhering to the precepts of Sharlayan's primary deity, Thaliak, the Scholar; he's devoted his life to the pursuit of higher knowledge, challenging himself always to discover new insights and revelations. And honorably displaying his dedication to his god.
Throughout the ranks of courses, he's excelled in his schooling and has earned the privilege to partake in the Pilgrimage. This allowance is bestowed only upon students whom are deemed to have faithfully given themselves wholly in service as an instrument of Thaliak.
Chi's first journey on his Pilgrimage takes him across the seas from Sharlayan to Limsa Lominsa, where Chi immediately seeks out the Arcanist's Guild, in "Maelvaan's Gate." He is anxious to begin researching an unfamiliar aetheric spellart, known as "Arcanism." What new adventures will Chi discover during his time on Eorzea? Only Thaliak knows for certain! But it will be up to Chi, to learn for himself…
Physical Characteristics
Chi was born with a blindness in his right eye, his iris visible only as an opaque dull white sphere. Somewhat self conscience about the malformation, he tries to keep his dark bangs overhanging the eye itself.
While his right eye is a emotional discouragement, the other eye he prides himself on. Being brilliant blue in color, Chi feels as though it is a special blessing, because the color shares elemental-affinity with his deity, Thaliak, whom is also the god of rivers. Chi is the first known descendant of the Chibi family to have been born with a blue eye.
Chi is very short for his already short race, a not so uncommon hereditary trait of the Chibi family-line. But what he lacks in vertical stature, his makes up for in strength of spirit.
Personality Traits
Chi is fully devoted, in heart and mind, to his deity, Thaliak. If any questions arise in the young Dunesfolk's life, Chi will tirelessly pursue the answer, until all inquiries are exhausted.
He is fearless in battle, because he knows that his god is with him, and knows that his god will provide a solution to any problem that arrises in the young devotees struggle.
Chi Chibi isn't distracted by the worldly temptations of the flesh. He has committed himself to the life and teachings of Thaliak and can love no one greater than his deity. He knows no shame displaying his love for his god. Praying at every river he encounters. Preferring even to fight in the river itself…knowing that he is closer to his deity, there in battle.
Chi will stop at nothing to fulfill the chronicle that Thaliak has penned for his life. If ever there was a new piece of knowledge to grasp, a new scholarly insight to be had; Chi will be there, front and center, to internalize every aspect of it in his mind.
To the dedication of his god, Chi lives.

Likes
Sweets – Chi has an irrational desire to gobble up tasty treats!
Rivers – Chi feels in harmony with his deity, sitting in or near a river.
Books – Diligent study helps him commune with his god.
Alchemy – The calculations, hypotheses, study & experimentations are quite exciting!
Dislikes
Mushrooms (fungus of any sort) – Especially the bitey kind of fungi!
Noisy People – They are an inconvenient distraction to his studies.
Alcohol – Chi grimaces at the ramifications that that chemical has on the minds of its imbibers.
Hobbies / Talents
Chi can squeeze into tight spaces. Though he considers that more a consequence of his race's small size, rather than being an actual talent.
He is a fast reader! But so to is required of all students who are institutionalized at the Halls of Ivy. So Chi doesn't consider that to be a talent either.
Upon further contemplation, Chi feels that his voracity with sweets is worthy of note. None could devour a dozen Ginger Cookies as fast as he!
Relationships
Family
Chi is an only child, having been sired by Bibiki Chibi, a prominent member of "The Passage of Rivers."
As per custom; Chi was boarded, at an early age, at the prestigious Thaliak Theologian Academy of Higher Learning. He's not seen, nor had communications with his biological parents since that time (a not-so-uncommon practice for sons & daughters of The Passage's members). One's studious dedication to Thaliak and scholarly work is a prized asset of any devotee, thus bearing little time to develop a 'relationship' with one's kin.
Thaliak serves has Chi's counselor, advisor and mentor. Fulfilling all the roles that any parents would for their children. When Chi is in want of guidance, he need only to open a book and beseech his deity. There, will he be provided his answers.
Friends
New to the unfamiliar land of Eorzea, Chi has met with little time to form lasting bonds. But he consciously considers all whom desire mastery, in any field of study, to be his 'friends.'
Enemies
Chi has encountered little opposition in his travels. Nothing noteworthy to deem as a primary enemy, thus far.
Rumors
The pious lifestyle of a Disciple of Thaliak bears little interests in rumors. However; speculations that lead to facts are worth pursuing.
