Clover is a normal young Hyur who doesn't stand out.
Past History
She was born in Gridania, where she spent a safe childhood under the protection of the forest. From a very young age, her everyday tended to revolve around helping her parents in their little fruits and vegetables shop. Albeit both of them used to be soldiers in the past, they chose to embrace a simpler and more modest life when their first and only daughter was born. They had no more ambitions other than working and living peacefully.
Instead of playing with other children in her free time, Clover displayed a great interest in learning magic. Her inspiration had always been, without a doubt, her grandfather and his memorable magic shop in Limsa Lominsa, which Clover could visit twice a year. It was safe to say that the moments she could spend with her grandpa in his shop of wonders were the most precious to the girl, so much that she’d often count the days until the next trip to Limsa Lominsa. The old man would always tell her amazing and magical stories about the world, about the voices of the Elementals. “There are many more stories in the forest,” he’d say. “You just have to learn how to listen.”
A few years later, war fell upon Eorzea like an unforgiving storm, filling every corner with loss and tragedy. Clover’s parents felt forced to get back into their past lives as soldiers, for they couldn’t simply abandon their people in such dark times. They sent a 13 years old Clover to Limsa Lominsa with her grandpa, where she managed to survive the Calamity.
Clover hasn’t heard from her parents ever since. As Eorzea was being slowly rebuilt, she spent the next five years living with her grandpa in Limsa Lominsa, helping him in his magic shop of wonders.
After his recent death, she moved back to Gridania, where she's been living on her own.
Personality
Clover is a mixture between responsible and dreamy. She’s always tried to be as helpful as possible to her family, placing more importance on work than on making friends. She’s kind when she can be, severe when she must. She’s not an unfriendly person, but neither is she very approachable. It's not rare to find her in a dreamy state, and sometimes she has the habit of staring at people in order to observe them, unaware of how uncomfortable such a thing might be in some cases. When she does that, she actually feels like some sort of invisible ghost who can observe her surroundings while still remaining unseen.
Her main strength might lie on her capacity to accept and adapt to events that take place around her, such as war and loss.
Her main weakness might lie on her lack of capacity to truly connect with others. Because she’s always done her best to be self-sufficient, she’s become a solitary person.
Overall, one could say that Clover is a serious, normal girl, with her faults and virtues.

Affiliations
(In order in which Clover met them).
Blake family (father & mother): Clover has always loved her parents, and always did her best to help them with their work. They tried to keep her safe, sending her with her grandfather at the end of the Seventh Umbral Era. Neither of them returned from the war.
Grandpa: Clover’s grandfather is the figure who has influenced, inspired, and shaped her the most. A wise man full of mysteries and magical stories. He’s also an outstanding inventor. Many of the strange devices he sells in his shop -like a certain music box which can produce aether images all around the room- are his creations.
Alana Black: A girl from Clover's childhood. Her father was the owner of a farm outside Gridania, and he tended to do business with Clover's parents. Clover remembers her like a brave and free spirit. She hasn't heard about Alana since the Calamity...
F'yue Tia: An amnesiac, badly wounded miqo'te Clover found near a river in La Noscea. She treated his wounds and allowed him to stay with her until he could remember who he was or what had happened. Without her realizing, the friendly miqo'te had erased the loneliness she'd been feeling after her grandpa's death. F'yue eventually got his memories back and left to Coerthas. Clover still considers him a friend, and exchanges letters with him often.
Andre Winter: A bard who helped Clover's caravan during her trip back to Gridania. He risked his life to save them, something Clover will never forget. He has proven to be a kind and gifted soul. Clover loves listening to his music and would ask him to meet her at the forest from time to time. He's also a good listener, and thus she thinks he's "easy to talk to".
Xydane Vale: A mysterious young man Clover helped during a rainy day in Gridania. The memory of his past lover seems to assault his mind everytime he's with Clover, due to the physical resemblance between the two girls. Xydane always keeps her in the dark about everything he does, thus Clover sees him as a distant person. Despite everything, she cares and worries about his well being.
