Appearance
Daxton is shorter than the average Miqo'te, standing at just under 5'4", or 162cm. He is 20 years old, but is often mistaken for younger than that. He has a pair of slash marks tattooed permanently on each cheek, in blood red. He always wears a small silver-plated bracelet on his right wrist; the silver is rubbed away in several places, letting the copper beneath show through. When alone, Daxton seems almost always to be lost in thought. When talking to others, he tends to fidget a bit, and is almost always doing something with his hands, whether it be gesturing or simply fiddling with his attire. He wears two pendants around his neck constantly. One is a beautiful jeweled pendant, the other is an aether crystal hung from a rough leather cord.
History
Daxton was raised in Limsa Lominsa by his adoptive Hyur parents. He has never met his parents, nor visited the Keeper of the Moon tribe that they are a part of. He does not know if his biological parents still live, or where they would be if they did. He has not yet come to grips with his own feelings towards them enough to seek more information. As far as he is concerned, his adoptive family is his only family. His mother was highlander, and his father a midlander. He also has an older sister, who is Roegadyn. His parents were killed during the calamity, when Daxton was only 15. Since then, Daxton has mostly lived on his own. He signed up with the Maelstrom as soon as he was old enough. Tedious and boring as they might be, the schedule of guard duties and patrols that he's been assigned have been the only source of stability in his life since the calamity.
Personality
Daxton is shy, and tends to get a bit anxious around new people. However, he tries his best to be friendly and personable. He is exceptionally curious, and spends a fair bit of time people watching and simply listening to the conversations around him. He is also the contemplative sort, and has an unfortunate habit of spacing out, sometimes in the midst of a conversation. Daxton tries very hard to be properly respectful, and tends to get quite embarrassed and flustered if he feels he has offended somebody.

Daxton works for the Maelstrom, his duties find him most often posted in Aleport or the sea in the vicinity thereof.
