“When I found you on the docks of Radz-at-Han, my servants questioned my sanity at taking you in. They saw a mangy urchin that would blight our home. I saw a burning fire in your gaze, held by the heroes of history. They have come to regret their initial opinion, as you have defended me and mine time and time again. This is why I trust my daughters in your care. Away from this place, and ensure they live a life worth living away from the memory of their rotting father."

-Sheikh Iskandar al-Arkani

Djet Mkhai is a mature character. The themes within his story are intended for a mature audience capable of handling extreme violence, questionable and realistic tropes, and graphic situations.

General Appearance

Standing statuesque among many of his kin, Djet Mkhai towers and looks down upon many of his shorter brethren bearing the typical gruff of plate armor and massive weaponry often accompanied by men of his stature. Coming to a full height of six fulms five ilms, Djet cuts a unique profile in the crowds of Eorzea. Taking ample care of his arms and armor, Djet can be found in the company of cleaning oils or sharpening stones seeking to ensure his armor weathers the test of time. Unlike the bandits that haunt the different roads of Thavnair and the thieves that stalk the rooftops of Radz-at-Han, Djet Mkhai fancies himself a guardian and looks the part just as well.

Beneath the shielding touch of leather and plated armor, Djet Mkhai was a typhoon of scarring, exaggerated muscle, and tattoos. One thing, in particular, that was noteworthy about the well-inked man, was that he did not often wear clothing that put his markings on display, going so far as to hardly have any within sight. Starting at the bottom of his neck, the symbol of a mighty Thavnairian lion: the lion was inked with its massive maw agape with two swords crossed behind it. On the broad blades of his shoulders were several vague effigies of the Thavnairian Zodiac circling beside one another as to leave six per shoulder blade. Filling the surface of his back was a kraken that starts between his shoulder with its tentacles extending out to swirl around several scars and burn marks that marred his back, as if holding him together. In three of the kraken's appendages were harpoons piercing through them, as if further pinning the man's body together and forcing the creature to remain held against him. Running down the man's sides were two scimitars of Ul’dahn design with intricate patterns along the flat of the blades: an hourglass leaking its sands down the edges.

Lingering atop his right shoulder is a single skull that appears like a mixture of wolf and lion with the Garlean symbols XIII inscribed above its eye socket. Tied to one of its teeth and circling once around the top of his arm is a ribbon that states, “Heroes Never Die,” in Eorzean runes. On the opposite shoulder is a human skull wearing a drachen mail helm with the sigil of Halone inscribed upon its broken horn. Down the underside of both his arms are two Uldahn-styled gladius that are chipped in several places, with the one on the right bearing the symbol of the Immortal Flames and the other bearing the symbol of the Gladiator’s Guild. On the broad side, forefront of his right and left biceps, there are the mighty gates of Rhalgr, symbolizing his arms acting as the gateway to his soul. Lying upon his left pectoral is a shield’s outline with a sword’s hilt standing above it. Around his navel is the depiction of a compass with a cracked surface and the needle pointing toward northwest, straight to his heart.

If the vast amount of scarring wasn't enough, the man's body: particularly his arms and his back are besieged by several gruesome scars and burn wounds that paint a devastating picture of a lifetime of hard labor and combat. Around the man's throat is a slight scarring of shoddily-healed skin showing that the man almost met an unfortunate end at the hand of a rope or a garrote of some sort. While his face isn't missing any of its pieces quite yet, there is a clear scar that travels from his ear down to his chin and another crossing over the bridge of his nose.

While perhaps not as dark as some of his kinsmen, it can be attributed to his Ala Mhigan heritage leaving him with some of their mountainous traits. A heavy set brow weighs upon his light brown eyes that look almost golden in the light of a candle or flame, filled with the conquering spirit of humanity and the greedy wish to leave his mark upon the world before his short life ultimately comes to an end. Taking from his own Thavnairian culture, Djet bears pride in his thick, dark brown hair whose ends appear to be sliced by blade than barber. To top everything off, Djet's face is bordered by a trimmed beard that slims down his broad, classically heroic features.

Osira Mkhai "Thavnair might be closed off to us, but we keep our memories alive, together."
A once impossible thought was that the boy found on the dock would earn the right to the nobleman's daughter, but Hydaelyn smiled upon their unfortunate happenings by gifting them each other. Throughout the test of time, Djet Mkhai has managed to remain steadfast and convicted purely by the presence of Osira, reminding him that regardless of the hardships they endure, they are never truly alone.

Roleplay Information

Djet and I are completely different entities. I do my best to never blur the lines of RP and try to keep the people I RP and interact with held to that same standard.
