Usually on the move, this upbeat and bold Miqo'te enjoys a hitting up a couple of drinks, and checking out others or the sights. Having left his parents who lived in the outskirts of Gridania shortly before The Calamity, he searches for them, with them having gone missing. He gets by doing odd jobs and a plethora of contracts across Eorzea, enjoying getting to meet all the people he comes across during his experiences.

Also, this is an under construction profile; I'm currently adding currently accessible character information, from here.

Appearance

A well-toned male Miqo'te, G'azih Sah has jaw-length black hair that appears somewhat straightened, with minor flourishes on a few strands of hair on the sides, with his hair slightly hiding his slate grey eyes. Often taking up a casually relaxed stance, G'azih has narrow shoulders despite his taller than average height. His skin appears to be a light, pale tan, with a tail with less fur than compared to most male Miqo'te. His ears blend in well with his dark hair, but they're somewhat noticeable once they twitch on the rare occasion, usually when G'azih gets either excited about a topic, or sees something he takes interest in. Covering the sides of his jaw line are linear, black tattoos, which he got at the instruction of his parents when he was still living with them.

Often clad in hardly a thing - usually only black, cloth shorts, or sometimes less than that - G'azih likes the full freedom of movement it gives him, and the ability to arouse the attention of those who pique his interest. If a situation forces him into wearing more, he'll still maintain his penchant for grey scale clothing, but then proceed to remove the clothes he deems unnecessary once he can.

Personality

Cheerful and bold, G'azih is a caring man, willing to make sacrifices for the sake of helping those he cares about, even if it were to cost him something deeply entwined with who he is. Often playing the lively type, he uses this presence as a front in order to get an idea of the personalities of others; that being said, he still genuinely enjoys being cheerful among others. G'azih quite easily takes a liking to the companionship of anyone new he meets, often interested in how they live out their lives.

Often the flirt, G'azih has quite the compendium of intimate experiences, despite his age being on the younger side, some of which make for rather interesting stories. Given how easily warms up to people, this trait also applies to how easy it is to arouse his attention. When pursuing someone he's attracted to, he'll often buy the other a drink or two, or suggestively feel them, provided if the other seems to take the hint. Otherwise, he'll cut his loses and be completely fine with a platonic, trusting friendship. When in a steady relationship, G'azih dials himself back, wanting to remain loyal to his partner if the relationship isn't an open one.

Stemming from choosing to leave his parents, and them promptly going missing during The Calamity, G'azih blames himself for their disappearance. This has lead him to be self-loathing, a trait he hides out of concern that he might potentially worry others too much. Occasionally, he has thought of taking rather drastic actions, what usually ends up stopping him is the thought of leaving behind his friends, and potentially alive parents.

Abilities

Combative Abilities

A male Seeker of the Sun of average, slender build, with an ineptitude for arcane and conjury alike. Knowing only a small handful of somewhat helpful spells that only occasionally help every now and then, his nimble, airy movements are enough to make up for his shortcomings; G'azih has gotten out of quite a number of tussles thanks to his grace and dexterity.

Non-Combative Abilities

Although likely born out of necessity during his time living alone in a shack, G'azih slowly honed his ability to cook pleasing enough meals, at least if pleasing means without fruits or vegetables in G'azih's case. Alongside his competency in cooking, G'azih can also consume quite a deal of alcoholic beverages before being going unconscious. That said, G'azih still gets intoxicated rather easily, despite this self-proclaimed 'talent,' that he adopted during the A Realm Reborn era.

Backstory/Timeline

Early Life in Gridania - Before A Realm Reborn

Born and raised into middle-class Gridania, G’azih had a relatively good childhood: a kind, battle-worn, stay at home mother named G'rahse, and a stern, serious father who worked as a carpenter known as G'otah, whom both left their tribe and changed their surname to Sah, upon arriving in Gridania, shortly thereafter having G'azih. Growing up, G’azih had no direct siblings, and was raised to be well-mannered and educated, but he had other plans for his spare time than what his parents had wanted, often running around the outskirts of town getting into mischief with others of similar age. This eventually caused G’azih to be something of a rebel towards his parents, despite his parents efforts. Eventually, G’azih moved out at 18, wanting to avoid inheriting his father’s craft and moved to the familiar outskirts of the city, in an abandoned shack he found when he broken into it when he was young, seeking to carve his own path, away from his parents influence.

G’azih ended up finding himself something of an adventurer during his time on his own, often performing miscellaneous tasks for some quick cash to make ends meet, but found himself getting enjoyment out of helping others. However, after the Calamity, G’azih found himself both worried about his parents, and struggling to provide for himself, which forced him to return home after quite some time of not keeping in touch with his parents. Upon returning, G’azih found out his father was barely able to provide for himself and G’azih’s mother, and had moved away somewhere without a trace, according to neighbors. G’azih ended up regretting being able to help the people closest to him, something he’s been able to do for countless faces. This sparked G’azih to fully devote his time to becoming an adventurer, with the slight hope of catching news of his parents in the process.

A Realm Reborn

With no word regarding his parents whereabouts, G'azih continued to dedicate his time to adventuring, stockpiling enough Gil for a small apartment in The Goblet, given his status as an adventurer. He had hoped that by having a place accessible to others, rather than just aimlessly hop between camping spots and inns, his parents might be able to track him down, or at least, have a space to properly file and store documents pertaining to his search.

This era has proved to be the most mentally-trying part of his life thus far, given he had been unable to do much at all about his search, and without much comfort or support either, leaving G'azih to wallow in his insecurities and self-scorn. With what started out as a hopeful and good start for the first time in a while, G'azih had found a girlfriend, someone he admired and respected, and later proposed to. Only making matters worse, she ended up crumbling his fragile self-esteem, as G'azih upon finding him with another man shortly after a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, crippling him even further as she left him behind.

With hardly a shred of will to continue his search, let alone live, he had heard rumors of someone with the ability to purge those of painful memories. With a something of a goal in mind, G'azih set about his search for this individual with some effort. Upon finding a nameless individual in a long, black cloak, G'azih had given up whatever Gil he had saved up until this point, in exchange for the services of the nameless individual.

Heavensward

Having finally heard about a Seeker couple matching the description of his parents being smuggled into Ishgard, G'azih decided to take advantage of Ishgard's foreign policy shift, and broaden his search even further. Having had to perform quite a number of tasks for Ishgard and it's people before being granted passage, it took a considerable amount of time for G'azih to get inside Ishgard.

At this point, most leads that led G'azih there had run cold, save for one tiny, but questionable lead. With a bit of smooth talking and hard earned Gil, G'azih learned from a regular tavern patron that prior to his arrival, another male Miqo'te, had been inquiring into his parents whereabouts. Unfortunately, the patron only remembered the other man's name to start with a 'G' as well, but that this man also bared some familial resemblance to G'azih. While G'azih's lead on this couple wasn't confirmed to be actually his parents, he had heard mention that this couple had traveled east, and decided to not take any chances and continue the pursuit of this lead.

Having assumed that 'east' meant back to Gridania, G'azih traveled back to his hometown, but to no avail, as his Gridanian contacts were unable to spare any new information that aligned with his newest lead. Upset, G'azih decided to storm back to Ishgard and get a more accurate answer from the Ishgardian patron, but upon passing through Mor Dhona and seeing the town inhabited with Domans, a realization dawned upon G'azih - he had a ton of Gil saving to do, if he had wanted to attain passage to the port town of Kugane.

Stormblood

Upon finally having saved up the Gil to afford passage to Kugane, G'azih picked the cheapest method of transport he could afford; sailing alongside a crew of traders making their route back to Kugane. However, G'azih wasn't the only guest upon the ship, as another, similar looking Miqo'te was seeking transport. The oddly similar looking Miqo'te confronted G'azih upon arrival at Kugane, only to bear news that the couple G'azih had been following weren't his parents, and that they weren't even in Kugane to begin with. Caught off-gaurd as to how this stranger had known about his search, the stranger revealed his name to be G'fheyu Tia, and then shortly vanishing upon making a passing threat at G'azih and his parents.

Relationships

Non-Player Characters

  • G'otah Sah: A stern, traditionally valued father who worked hard as a carpenter to support his family, after having left his tribe alongside G'rahse, and promptly changed his surname to Sah upon arriving in Gridania. He wanted G'azih to succeed his trade, and had tried to force his job on him, with little input from G'azih. Despite his steely attitude, he cares deeply about his family, and wants to see them comfortable and safe. He met his wife G'rahse after she had come back to the tribe after a very successful defensive mission with little chance of victory and admired her strength despite adversity. Unbeknownst to G'azih, that successful mission was what shot G'otah into the limelight of his tribe, rocketing him into becoming a prospective Nunh, something G'otah hadn't originally intended, hoping the other male in the tribe would take up the position. G'otah, who developed an uncommon attachment to G'rahse, ran away with her, but not before mating with another female at the tribe at the constant insistence of the current Nunh.
  • G'rahse Sah: A battle-worn, kind mother who stayed at home to look after G'azih as he grew up without much of a father figure. She had left the tribe alongside his husband G'otah, and the two of them changed their surnames, and had given birth to G'azih afterwards. In her former tribe, she was in charge of protecting the clan, and rose to a great amount of support after a decisive defensive victory. She had left with G'otah so they could have the simple, calmer life the two of them had talked about.
  • G'fheyu Tia: A hardened, straight-edge male Miqo'te that bares an unsettling resemblance to G'azih Sah. G'fheyu's mother perished whilst in labor, giving birth to G'fheyu, leaving G'fheyu as something of an orphan, as his father, now known as G'otah Sah, had left the his tribe before he was born. Blaming his father for the death of his mother, G'fheyu is seeking out G'otah to make him pay for what he did to the mother he never got the chance to grow up with.

Plot Hooks

  • Desperate Search: Currently searching for his missing parents, G'azih is willing to do nearly anything to get even just a sliver of reliable information regarding their whereabouts. For example, you could use this to take advantage of G'azih somehow, or find a way to assist his search.
  • Frequent Traveler: Due to his insistent searching he often travels across the world, looking into whatever lead he may be given. This means you could bump into him wherever easily accessible, as peaceful or shady the place may be.
  • Errand Boy: Often employed as an adventurer or a mercenary to pay off his dues from information gathering, and to hopefully gain a lead from the work itself in some way. This means you could run into him during a mission or quest, or see him doing something as simple as hauling a stranger's belongings to the other side of town.
