Clan Highlander
Citizenship Limsa Lominsa, Ul'dah.

Legacy

A roaming martial artist of cool demeanor and fiery valor.

He speaks little of his past and is steeped in mystery.

His gaze is ever fixed on the future ahead.

Appearance

Large by even Highlander standards, standing at 7 feet and weighing in at nearly 240lbs, Gabron is a difficult person to miss unless surrounded by Roegadyn. He has a built muscular frame and healthy tan that would be expected of a man whose spent much of his life training and conditioning his body. To those not used to a Highlander, he may appear somewhat tribal and severe. The tribal tattoos on his forehead and and the gold streaks in his dark hair give a tiger-like motif that suits him well. Added to this, he has a large scar crossing the middle of his face, a souvenir from 20 years ago. His steel-gray eyes are naturally-watchful of the comings and goings around him, and he tends to not miss much.

Gabron is often seen wearing casual clothes, heavy enough for adverse weather conditions, but light enough to run cross-country in, and none of it particularly expensive or extravagant. He doesn't wear a pack either, and tends to keep his belongings at whichever inn he stays at.

History

Gabron never really speaks of his past, long or recent. He frequents Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah, and is seen regularly by the locals there. His mysterious past is the cause for more than a few rumors circulating around the man. In Ul'dah, some claim he's some kind of underground bandit prince who hides his identity, whereas in Limsa Lominsa, some claim he's a pirate captain whose ship and crew are lost or hidden. Others still claim he's some sort of tribal warlord who left the Highlands. None of these rumors are based on anything substantial, and most don't pay them much heed. Gabron himself, however, doesn't comment on the rumors, and doesn't really do anything to deny or accept them. He has appeared frequently in either city, hiring out his rather-acceptable martial art skills as a bodyguard, often for travelers and merchants passing through the local wilderness.

Gabron's nickname, Gabron The Lion, rises from those who know him professionally. In battle, he is a whirlwind of destruction, favoring a very aggressive, all-out fighting style that dispatches enemies quickly and brutally. Outside of battle, however, he is surprisingly polite and well-mannered. There is a distinct sense of presence about him, that doesn't quite cross into aloofness, yet reflects a certain earthly stability. Some remark that being around him is alike to being around some sort of exotic noble, yet there is even less to support such a notion. Gabron isn't known for being particularly wealthy or excessive in life.

Personality

Gabron is calm and stable, enjoys a good drink, laughs at jokes, empathies with people's sorrows and feels pride as much as the next person. In person, Gabron is rather friendly, warm, and polite. Questions into his background tend to be casually deflected onto another topic, and he generally appears to be quite patient with those around him, for better or ill. He is known to keep calm under pressure, yet can be utterly explosive in combat. Some might remark that the way he can go from complete control to ultraviolence and back again is unsettling.

'Roleplaying hooks

Hiring: Hiring Gabron as a merc is a pretty easy plot hook for RP. Naturally, no real gil needs to be paid, it can all be made up.

Knowing Gabron: He's around Limsa Lominsa mostly, but Ul'dah enough too that anyone can say they've heard of him, and would know most of what's shown here.

Blast From The Past: Gabron spent a few years in Eorzea prior to leaving five years ago. He made friends, enemies, and a reputation back then, and might be remembered because of it.
