General
Galena was born into a noble military family, the Brynhildr, in the city-state of Ala Mhigo. She began her schooling at an advanced age, excelling in her academics; however, her skill with a blade was equally as keen as her mind. In her teens she began her squireship, and had the honor of being chosen by her father to learn the ways of the Ala Mhigan Paladin. At the fall of Ala Mhigo, Galena was separated during the intense battle that ensued during the Garlean incursion.
Appearance
Bronzed silt-colored skin, strong hazel eyes. Slightly muscular, but not overtly. Quite small for a Highlander, but sturdy. Windblown white locks, cut at a stop behind her head.
Behavior
From a distance, Galena looks bright but intimidating, but in person is anything but intimidating. She carries herself as a learned noble military daughter should, but does so to protect a caring heart and a mental disposition to protect those around her.
Combat
General
Galena was learned in the ways of the Paladin prior to the climax of Carteneau. However, proving her intelligence in battle, and having a sharp mind when it came to tactics lead her into the upper echelon of the Limsan military. Galena began her studies of the military generals known as "Scholars" soon after.
Galena is skilled with a blade, but masterful with her mind. Her strategies saved lives, but more importantly, spared lives.

Galena was born to Sangridr Brynhildr (Mother), and Eirik Brynhildr (Father). A noble female bloodline intertwined to a charismatic Paladin commandant. None is known as to the fates of her father and mother, and she had no siblings.

History
After the fall of Ala Mhigo, Galena was stowed onto a merchant skiff headed for the tradewinds to Limsa Lominsa. There, she found a welcoming albeit precautious home among the Limsan seafarers. She was not openly persecuted for the sins of her ancestors 100-or-so years ago, but was held at arms length. She began her life as an indentured worker to a prominent merchant in the Limsa Lominsan merchant fleet. There, she discovered a potent charisma and honed her body to attempt to equal her mind.
After a time, Galena was selected to serve in the military of Limsa Lominsa, which she openly accepted.(Anything beats indenturist work.) Galena fought under the banner of the Maelstrom and attempted to whittle away back to her home, Ala Mhigo, with the Maelstrom at her side. Prior to the events of Carteneau, Galena held a staunch defense against the onslaught from the Garlean forces. She lead, and bled, with some of the bravest Eorzea has ever known. What happened after is burned into the annals of history as a scar among the people of Eorzea, the loss of so many...
Post-calamity, Galena has never faltered in her studies, nor the way of the blade; she fights still under the Maelstrom banner, but as a general. Her scholary exploits have earned the eyes and ears of many. She most recently has joined swords with a Free Company hailing from the desert land of Ul'dah, to further the prosperity the alliance attempts to protect.
