~*†I'Kuge's musical theme†*~

"Hey I'Kuge, come on, the festival is almost done setting up!"

I'Kuge was carving last few rounds of his next instrument, fingertips blistered over, his ears flickering Intensely in such sign of curiosity as he listened on.

« Ahh, to the grounds with the festival. » I'Kuge simply replied in a neutral tone.

The female Hyur sighed out loud. Even though she could not read his expression, she stayed calm and shook her head with slight annoyance.

« ...But they have those apple strudels you like, those small little acorn cookies too!

She sounded saddened and slightly confused, as she watched him fiddle more with the chisle in his hand.

« Ugh, fine, what ever. I'll get ready. »

« It's about time I'Kuge, you hardly get out of your shop. Go make some friends, just please don't steal this time! » she simply asked.

She was not judging him. The 19 year old girl, despite her wounds apperant and the dirt and mud over her palms and knees, was actually looking for a proper moment, to at least work with the man who "deemed criminal". The silence between them was longer than expected. Though suprisingly I'Kuge didn't lash out after her concerns where stated. I'Kuge glared over and gave a quick nod, pondering. The two left towards the festival, I'Kuge in front and the girl ( Morielle ) in the back, both looking slightly sheepish.

« You know, Festivals are not the best place to get gil, let alone go for stealing such "treasures" as you told me before, you remember what happened last time? »

« But I'Kuge, you hurt that man, that's why we got in trouble...»

« Yea well, some people clearly don't know when to get out of my face, especially if they're assuming I stole thier blade. »

« Was it worth it ? »

« Yes. Of course it was, what kind of question is that Mori? I could've sold it for double that loon was thinking!  »

I'Kuge shook his head and gave a slight chuckle, looking back at Mori.

« You're safe, you're in good hands, Mori » I'Kuge said calmly.

« You said that last time, but they caught you!. Morielle glared at him, stomping her foot as she stopped.»

I'Kuge gave her a confused look. After a moment, though, a faint smile was on his lips. " And where is that blade now? ".

« At home.. »

She shook her head negatively.

« And that is why we are coming back tonight to get the rest of his broken charms, the blades are garbage, let alone cheap. Though we can still sell them for a lot more than that beggar is selling. Just need a few more to make bulk! » I'Kuge gave a questionable smirk before turning back around, shoving his hands into his pockets, his ears wilting back.

Mori remained silent, like a child listening to a her father. After a moment, she would hum lightly and pick up the pace as she bumped into I'Kuge, giving a small grunt as she stumbled back and nearly fell, though she kept her grounding and smiled back up at him.

« What's wrong I'Kuge, why did you stop? »

« You told me the festival was set up. » I'Kuge slowly turned around, looking down to Mori as a frown grew over his face.

Mori frowned herself and took a step back, keeping her hands behind her back.

« I'Kuge you have a serious problem, I'm not wishing to harm you... »

She looked back up to him again, her voice sounding weak and fragile.

« They said you where a bad man, I don't see bad in you I'Kuge. Troubled maybe. »

« What're you doing Mori, this isn't funny. Stop screwing around! » I'Kuge yelled.

I'Kuge pondered over his friendship with the girl, before adding : « Don't tell me.. »

« I'Kuge, you told me you where not going to steal anymore and you keep bringing me into worse and deeper situations with the guards, the people trying to take back what -you- stole, not me! I'm trying to help you, not end you I'Kuge! What happens when you have to kill someone over a block of cheese?! »

I'Kuge breathed heavily, attentive, curious, patient. But as he realised how easily he was trusting the girl his feelings, she could feel him taking an abrupt distance.

« So what're you doing, are you going to take me in, going to take back everything from me? You've been at this just as I have, this is just as much your fault as mine! »

Mori shook her head, tears lightly welling under her eyes.

« They said if I turn you in, I can go back and get my residential status back, I could even save up for a home, let alone have my cards wiped clean. No more stealing for food, no more harming and bruising up people for your silly little goals.»

I'Kuge growled angrily as he watched as he saw the city guards ( Ul'Dah ) walk up behind her. « So this is it, you rat me out, I take the blame for your faults as well and you live happily ever after?!. «  he commented bluntly.

I'Kuge canted his head sadly, clenching his fists before going onto his knees and putting his hands behind his back feeling the weight of frustration deep in his heart.

« I'm sorry I'Kuge, I'm trying to help! »

I'Kuge looked away from her and remained calm and giving himself into the guards commands, feeling those cold shackles around his wrists.

« Three years, three years I've known you Mori and you do this to me? I fed, helped, care and battled down others for you, you selfish harlot! »

Mori opened her mouth to answer, but shook her head instead. Pondering over his words, she offered a meek smile. « You are right, I'Kuge. »

« Oh shut it! »

I'Kuge refrained to go further on, after feeling a heavy impact on his back, ouch that hurt. The girl seemed weary about her actions.

« I'm sorry I'Kuge, let's hope you get better.» Mori pursed her lips and hanged her head low, sporting a large frown.

« So uhh, what's the sentance for a few rolls, maybe some cookies? »

The Guards looked down upon I'Kuge, glaring and snarling as their nostrils would flare. " What about the blades, the materia and other stolen goods?"

I'Kuge refrained some more, finally knowing of his fate, let's hope that Cell is comfortable.

Appearance & Personality

Nature & Demeanor

Nature & Demeanor

Demeanor:

I'Kuge is a soft spoken and hard working man at first glance. He is very discrete, and very honest about himself and others, highly respectful. He always seems to listen to those in need, even more so if it helps him gain a few gil! He is one who seems to truly to care for others and to be sincere with all his words, but mostly prefers to listen over talking, though he's not shy to gab for a minute or two. I'Kuge, despite how young he was ( 24 ) has the smug/smirk of a wise person who has endured many life experiences. His questionable attitude, one second calm and the other second fumed decisions are just a token of his so called "Experience" on the field. His tone is mostly warm, inviting, though do be wary if you work around his bad side.

Nature:

I'Kuge enjoys life, quite simple really. He loves each and every moment in his peaceful time that is his own or with his close friends. He likes to set his mind free, plucking and strumming such strings on his instrument at most times. She likes to learn, by himself or from others. Every encounter is a new journey for him, you never know who you're going to run into right?. His dream is simple, though is a long-term goal : when this city no longer hears the bells and chimes, the beautiful strings of music. I'Kuge can open his own stand, his own entertainment house, glory of different musical instruments, many teachings and artists of all scenes gathered under one house, with himself pulling such strings. Not everything is perfect in his eyes although, I'Kuge seems sometimes empty, his eyes and tone distant and most likely very stand-offish from those he once known, could it be his sheer guilty pleasure of stealing, gaining more gil within each swipe of his hand over a blade, maybe a new rifle or leathers?, nothing like a five finger discount. This all being said, I'Kuge is a honest man at heart, hard worker and loving. Though with every man there is always a guilty pleasure, what else is he hiding other than the obvious thievery and past rumors?

Trope:

I'Kuge follows his own morale, his own codes and oaths. He follows them whatever the price paid, and will never transgress his so called "morale" to preserve his actions. He would be ready to give her life to those he loves and cares for, such as friends and more?. Though those that step in his path are not kept out of site, let it be a simple childish gesture to a strong-held racial slur towards his own, he does have the mind to remember faces, voices and colors of clothing, do keep this in mind.

There are 7 things he holds dear, 7 oaths he swore in heart and which are sometimes represented. :

* His Lute: I'Kuge is obviously a musical fiend, usually strumming his instrument, writing scores or learning different scales. Almost always you can see him with his instruments, that is if he's not working or 'selling' goods.

* His Pride: What ever it may be, when ever it is, you'll mostly hear I'Kuge held up and helpful, let it be one of his good days or bad, he is always a helping hand. He holds himself highly as did his brothers and sisters, though he managed to get away from such life. He is a good man at heart, but as for his actions.. who knows?

* "His Work": I'Kuge doesn't exactly have a set stone in what job he requires or what path he takes, he's a drifter. His passion and main sorts of income is his talent in being a luthier, the art of making those strings go 'ting!'. His work is a great part of him, as you can see with the musical side of himself. Though he does hold various other talents, rumors do tell often kept secrets, maybe he smuggles on his off-time, maybe he fights in a ring? Perhaps he just sits around and does nothing, this is for you to find out!

* Respect: I'Kuge has always been respectful of codes and beliefs of others. He is very polite. He has no interest in his heart to rightfully harm someone without each side being said, let alone protecting. He holds respect to those who earn it from him.

* Sincerity: I'Kuge hates lies and considers manipulation as cowardice. Though he has shared his own tall-tales from time to time, He doesn’t like to lie, even if it somehow leads himself to a difficult situation. He has always wanted to be honest in his intentions, even if these said intentions are to murder someone for justice?.

* Loner: Considering he is always around, walking up and down the paths, singing and playing about, you'd imagine he's quite the open sort to meeting others and talkative man. I'Kuge wasn't exactly raised in the best of places, usually told to do this and not that, not this and do that. Always in a confusing heap of mess, kicked from his family at a very young age, it's not easy living on your own in a big city, is it?. I'Kuge has grown fond of his alone time, though he holds no grudge to those who wish to participate in his odd events.

* Loyalty: I'Kuge loathes treachery. He is a faithful loyal and most of the time gentle friend.

Notable Features

Notable Features

Common Appearance:

I'Kuge is a young male Miqo'te soon to be turning twenty-five. He is a bit taller than most Miqo'te but not by much. He often has a curious look that claims his eyes, often peering from one direction to the other, taking everything in he can. He usually sports a smug/smirk where ever he walks/runs off towards. You'll mostly be seeing him in his leathers, cloth and even sometimes in bits of plate, really depending on what the day comes to offer him. His hair is a ginger-like color, red with a bit of light brown, his ears standing tall with the many chains and piercings adorning them. His figure is built strong, nothing sickly like most large Hyur, but quite athleticly built, clearly he could defend his own if in need be. He has no real markings, no ink or placements, just the common facial markings over his face except for the few scars that mark his body, one scar would be over his neck and a few towards his back, what from.. who knows?!. I'Kuge isn't big on beards or much for facial hair, but it can be noticed his face is adorned with very little hair, maybe a shadow of stubble if anything. His eyes are normal for a Miqo'te. A bright golden look would claim his eyes, his left eye is marked with a nasty looking scar that would cross down from his brow towards his cheek. His face is different than most so called "Thieves", not exactly ruined or roughed over but nicely toned out and well sculpted, other than the various scars that mark over. His ears short, three piercings along the bottom to the top. The base of his left ear around the middle would have a chain connecting towards his lobe. His mouth and lips always have a modest shape to them, nearly always shaped in a slight smirk everywhere He goes, depending on his mood. His complexion is quite nice for the most art, appearing highly pale although. The first thing most would get a gander at is his belt, there is always a big belt adorning his waist, many pockets and additions added. The left side of his belt there could be seen a large vial, most of the time filled with different colors, perhaps to coat his daggers?. The other few pockets on the left side are filled with gil, a chisle and some wierd golden looking necklace. His voice is a whole other concept, at times disgustingly rough and horrible to being soft spoken and calm, depending on how he is treated, gets to know your character and further on could depend on his actions let alone how he treats those before him.

Clothing:

Nothing but old travelling clothes, or whatever he could get his hands on, mostly leathers and clothes.

Abilities

Glass-sword.png Abilities

Strengths

Strengths

I'Kuge have always known a thieves and a farmers life before meeting the big city. And then, her life was but a never-ending quest to find herself and overcome her own weaknesses to punish vices and corruptions of others. He is perfectly at ease when music comes to hand, that or his daggers. With the help of Mori, He spent many years to develop his own abilities regarding his quick-handedness, let it be with a pistol, blade or using those fingers for plucking such strings. Mori and Tori taught Him the way of the blade, learning how to use those daggers he was given, let it be to cut, stab or even wedge between a piece of wood to keep something from moving, perhaps even slicing up an apple or two! I'Kuge developped a high level of patience, perseverance, though his self control wasn't at best. He can be fierce if givin in to his dark side, as well as destroying all he's worked for if he goes on one of them "Theft Sprees".

Weaknesses

Weaknesses

I'Kuge is not a big man for water, let alone the ocean or the waters that could surround or drown a man, as to why, who knows?. Though he is able enough to do much, he is still faultered to many weaknesses, let it be the fact He hates snakes, spiders and those creepy crawling things to hateing those who gloam within the light, such as paladins and do-gooders, he always feels lesser aligned up when stood beside such a 'valient' sort. I'Kuge is always too critical on himself, highly pushing himself to try and do more than he bargained for, to make sure those around him are happy.

Combat

Combat

When fighting, I'Kuge isn't exactly the safest to be around, usually fighting dirty and learning his 'fighting' style through keeping himself alive on the streets. One can only imagine how scrappy and disgusting it could get, from stabbing the hips to kicking the gut, to pulling ears kneeing faces. Not everyone is as skilled as a paladin, let alone a figure such as I'Kuge. Though he is no push over, he does know how to hold himself, once in the right position he will fight. Let it be using his daggers, claws/hands or teeth.
