Personality

Isa'to Jyn is a fairly quiet individual, but very observational to his surroundings, and prefers action over words. Notably, he has been come across as apathetic or empty, only focusing on the job at hand over anything else, and this has been presented as being introverted. On the other hand, when fully known, Isa'to shows a strong sense of loyalty and kindness to those who he protects and cares for.

Within activities, Isa'to can be spotted training to keep up his flexibility and core strength in shape, while providing his spirit comfort by prayer to Menphina, Goddess of the Moon. On pleasant days, he has been known to hunt and fish for time of self-reflection.

History

"Letters of the road before me, pave the way to my recollection. To whom, who so displays curiosity, shall find understanding within my path. By sight, by open-minded progression..." - Isa'to Jyn

I am not a scholar, ne'er am I dim witted, but self-educated by my own seeking mind. Though I was born into the wilds of my sisters and brothers, I have always had an eye to the outside world. To learn of the many cultures that reside outside my imprisoned society. As apparent rarity of my gender, I was not allowed to venture, but so often, I would catch a glimpse of brave Adventurers, fending off the beasts of the wild for fame and glory, only to be eventually "shoo-ed" off by our Matriarchal ruling.

Keeper males are rare, and seldom does a woman of my faction have more than two sons to her litter of daughters, but of my Mother, Isa Jyn, she had birthed two sons, and I being presented as the second son, was named Isa'to Jyn, as every other male before me has taken their mother's name; as it always has been by tradition.

My brother Isa'a, the first born, was always the one I had always looked up to when I was younger, he was the only one I could connect to, as the others of my tribe would taunt and tease me, calling me weak and brittle for my runt like size as a male. My brother was the only one who drove them away in my need, and through this, I have felt very uneasy around those I have never known. In truth, I had wished that I was stronger then, as I am now...

By the time I was seventeen, a sense of doubt floated among my tribe, but was ignored until a few months later, when war raged across Eorzea, bringing with it the wrath of Dalamund and the fiery wake of Bahamut, the dragon primal.

Our group, which had migrated just on the southern boarder of The Blackshroud forest (Close to Mor Dhona), witnessed in terror as the night lit up with fire and debris, only to find that some of the crust that had made up Dalamund had been heading in our direction at great speed and force, and in the mists of panic, most of the tribe had separated in every direction. I ran toward the Northeast, deeper into the forest, as fast as my feet could carry me. I could hear the rumbles and crushing of earth, and feel the faint vibrations underneath my feet, as I stopped to look behind me; two young Miqo'te females huddled against a large boulder, quivered in fear, crying aloud in confusion. I panned the area, searching for my elder brother, calling out his name, only to be interrupted by a ferocious, enraged roar that shattered across my ears, forcing me to cover them in wincing pain. The roar eventually faded, only to be replaced by a multiple barrage of explosions in the distance. Then, only silence..., as if the world had been swallowed whole by darkness.

My eyes looked up to the bare patches of the canopy, only to see dust and the remainder of ominous clouds, and feeling a sinking feeling within my chest. I had to find my brother, as I raced back to the Southern boarder, only to find fire and ash, a scorched and scarred earth of destruction on its face, and squinting to the Southwest, Limsa Lominsa had taken immense damage, now laying in rubble and dis-figuration of the massive event that had taken place.

From my view to the South, the only thing that remained standing was the desert city of Ul'dah. Within my mind, I thought perhaps my brother had run off in the direction of that desert city, so, I decided to travel between boarders of forestry and sand, and searched till the break of dawn, through rock, rubble, trees and dust, but I could not find him...

My body ached in fatigue and thirst, but even though I wanted to continue searching, I could not help but collapse onto my hands and knees, eventually to roll over onto my back, stirring up a small cloud of dust in my drop. I looked up to the sky, still blotted with clouds, now slowly dispersing away into revealing patches of blue sky, and before I knew it, my vision faded into darkness.

I didn't know how long it had been before I had awoken, but I had found myself in the company of a person shaped silhouette (within a lightly lit room) when I had been able to open my eyes.

"You are awake Miqo'te?"

The voice was a bit slurred to my ears, as I was groggy from waking up.

"Careful now, you've been asleep for a many hours."

This person, held a cup of water to my lips, while tilting the back of my head forward gently, allowing me to take sips. At first, the water was a welcoming relief, but as soon as my consciousness had fully awaken, I jumped to my feet, flinging the cup into the wall in alarm, I was startled.

"Hey!"

I focused on the figure, now clear as day; it was a male Hyur.

My ears were tilted back, and my tail flicked violently in spasms, I did not know what to make of this situation, nor did I know how to act. This was the first time I had come in contact with another race of Eorzea.

"Relax, I'm not going to harm you."

My ears remained down, as I cautiously looked around the room, while at the same time keeping my peripheral vision on the stranger. To the right of me was a bed and nightstand, and on the floor a metal bowl filled with water, slightly discolored brown with what I assumed was old blood and dirt. To the left, a chair, and a dark wooden desk, and upon that desk, were white bandages, and an assortment of ointments and medicines.
