I've survived lots of things, and I'll probably survive this

General

Jack is an optimistic adventurer with a wild past and an eerily precise gut feeling. Incredibly lucky in his messy past, he travels to Eorzea like all adventurers did before the Calamity, the make some gil. His life is filled with experience, far more than he should have. After witnessing Bahamut firsthand in Mor Dhona, Jack spends his days meeting new people and waiting for the next adventure.

History/Timeline

1572, 6th Astral Era (FFXIV 1.0): Jack and friends travel to Eorzea looking for work. Shortly after arriving, they witness a star shower. Soon after, Jack and his party arrive in Limsa Lominsa, collecting Leves for some gil. While discussing leves with his party, Jack witnesses a flashback due to the Echo. He witnesses event 10 years prior; A small party fighting a Morbol, and then a Garlean Juggernaut whisking him away on accident. In the Juggernaut, Jack witnesses the Garleans battle at Silvertear Falls with Midgardsormir firsthand. He falls from the Juggernaut, waking from his echo induced dream when he hits the ground. Determined to find the party he saw in the past, he sets out to find them.

1572, 6th Astral Era (Calamity: Battle at Carteneau): Jack has formed a party with the people he met in the past: Himself, a male Roegadyn, a female Elezen, a female Miqo'te (Was part of his present party), and a female Lalafell. Standing on the plains at Carteneau, his party fought the Garleans with the aid of Archon Louisoix. Though all the prayers in Eorzea could not deter Bahamut's wrath. Before they could perish, Louisoix invoked the power of Althyk the send Jack and his party (now known as the Warriors of Light) through time and space.

Present Day: Jack and the party was teleported 5 years into their future, to the now present-day Eorzea. Since then, Jack's party members have all gone their separate ways. Jack remained in Eorzea to discover what had happened to Archon Louisoix, and to do what he does best: Adventure.

Appearance

Jack is roughly 6' tall; tall for a midlander, but compared to highlanders, he might as well be a lalafell. He has short brown hair and fine features. He dresses in whatever he thinks looks good. The downside in this is that he will wear the same clothes for several days. He hates wearing jewelry, particularly earrings, and will go without them in most- if not, all- situations.

Speech

Very casual, mostly using formal mannerisms such as "sir" or "ma'am" ironically and sarcastically. He will use them unironically, but only if the situation truly calls for such behavior.

Behavior

Very positive and optimistic, almost too much so. He likes making people happy, seeing them smile is the reward. He is unexpectedly loyal to a cause he believes in, whether that be a person or organization.

Combat

He doesn't dislike fighting. His favorite quote is "Jack of all trades" meaning he fights how he likes. His top three roles are Warrior, Archer, and Dragoon. He doesn't like being called a "Bard" because "it sounds weird. Doesn't fit me at all." He has no affinity for magic. He can perform low level spells, but he burnt people with his last fire spell so he steers clear from the magical arts as of now.

LIKES ■ Food. Especially food cooked just for him. Even if it's bad, it's good to him. ■ Honesty is key. Liars get nowhere. ■ Traveling is his dream. His goal is to "plant (himself) into as many people's memories as possible."

DISLIKES ■ Murderers and rapists. He thinks of them as "less than the barnacles on the underside of a ship." ■ Pain. He's gotten used to it, but he still doesn't like it. ■ Negativity. He's way too optimistic and will not put up with a "downer."

Family

Jack's family are all deceased, and their records wiped from any family registries. Jack doesn't mind, he doesn't dwell on the past. His only memory of any family is that of his sister, Melody, who died from a head injury at the age of 9 while playing on some ice with Jack.
