Character
♦ General
Background:Jah'rakal was found in the Shroud when he was still a toddler, abandoned near the roots of a big tree. There, he was found by an hermit, who brought it to Gridania, where he was raised under the guidance of brother E-Sumi-Yan. The boy displayed an innate talent in thaumaturgy from a very young age, and that, combined with Gridania's racism towards Keepers of the moon, convinced the Conjurer's guild to send him to Ul'dah, where he lived most of his youth, studying aether and thaumaturgy. The boy however, found himself wandering towards Gridania again from time to time, working with the Twin Adders as a hunter.
During his teen years, he started to learn the secrets of Black Magic, and to the day, that's the type of magic he's most talented in.
After some problems he had with thaumaturgy (see the rest of the page) he picked up Archery and the Arcanist way of casting.
Recently, he joined Aether Corp. to progress in his studies on the matter, having found in the company a home as well as a family
♦ Appearance
Body:His build is lithe, Jah'rakal is short and skinny even by miqo'te standards. His arms still show a bit of muscles due to his archery training.
His skin is dark, somewhat greyish. His tail is white, with a yellow tip. Those colors are reflected on his hair as well
Head/Face:He has white hair with blonde highlights, white, small ears, and big, round lavender purple eyes. His fangs are sharper than most miqo'te, hidden behind full lips.
Clothing:He's usually seen wearing robes, depending on the occasion. He wears a set of robes with the Twin Adders crest for official meetings or important events, and a set of less elaborated clothes for his everyday life.
♦ Behaviour
Jah'rakal is quiet and mostly keeps to himself unless something or someone piques his interest. He's usually seen drinking tea at the Quicksand.
He doesn't do well among crowds, getting nervous when there's more than three people around him. Sometimes, when the tavern gets crowded, he simply runs off.
He's polite and respectful, almost noble in his mannerism. His movements are delicate and relaxed, and, unless he doesn't feel at ease, his mostly seen smiling.
When he tenses, his eyes become slightly wider, and his tail moves swiftly behind him, with him going almost completely silent.
Combat
Jah'rakal is a talented Black Mage, however, as he grew he developed something he refers to as "Aether Drunkenness". The more Aether he uses, the more he loses himself in the heat of battle: though he still recognizes friends and foes, and would never hurt the former, he grows more and more exited, laughing maniacally and losing his normal composure. He becomes cocky and arrogant, putting large quantities of Aether in his spells, usually laying devastation around him. That, however, never resulted in his friends getting hurt, showing that he is still somewhat lucid.
Lately, he started using a bow and the much less Aether-expensive Arcanist magic, allowing him to keep his emotions in check through meditation and self-control.
