GENERAL INFORMATION

A Midlander of Ishgardian origin, Justice works as an engineer and fledgling machinist under the Skysteel Manufactory. Though his family has served House Dzemael for centuries, a love and talent for machinery led him to seek out employment under House Haillenarte's Lord Stephanivien. Justice has ambitions of giving mankind an easier future by replacing humans on the battlefield and in hard labor with automatons. The invention of Skysteel's aetherotransformer awoke endless possibilities within the young man.
Justice's personal pet project is an expansion on the aetherotransformer's functions. By modifying and installing the same cores found within Skysteel's drone technology into small automatons, Justice can use the aetherotransformer as a medium to control the automatons almost like puppets. He sometimes experiments with this advancement in public spaces, both to test the technology and to share his love for machinery. The attention isn't bad either.
Hearing of the primal Alexander, a massive mechanical colossus that awoke in Dravania, Justice immediately requested that he be deployed to Idyllshire. He claimed he would not only assist the local engineers in recovering the unique technology manufactured within the primal, but help reverse engineer and report any useful findings to the Skysteel Manufactory.

APPEARANCE

Short, soft, and lithe. It's not at all unusual to mistake Justice as one of the fairer sex. His dainty appearance is no mistake judging by how well he obviously takes care of himself. Manicured nails, soft hair treated to expensive alchemical blends, clothes that accentuate his delicately feminine form. With lips set softly in cheerful confidence and light violet eyes always thinking on the future, Justice carries an air of relaxed hopefulness.
Justice is rarely ever seen without his beloved mammet Aphmau. A standard model, Aphmau looks like almost any other mammet. Her chassis is colored indigo with golden decoration.
Aspects That Stand Out:
His well-maintained, feminine appearance.
His mammet, Aphmau.
The aetherotransformer worn at his hip.

PERSONALITY

Justice's casual air and bright eyes make him very approachable. His optimism oftentimes stretches into the realm of fantasy, so set and driven by his idealism that he may not notice the true state of things. Although, it may be more that he chooses not to notice these things. It wouldn't be at all strange to think of him as self-centered at times. To Justice, however, he sees himself as working tirelessly for a brighter future for all mankind. Justice isn't shy about his ingenuity, happily showing off his modified gadgets and bragging about his future plans. It may even be hard to get him to stop talking if the right subjects come up. And he will try to bring them up.
Those who know Justice, even if only for a few moments, are very likely to be on the receiving end of his playful teasing. His examining eyes get straight to work on new acquaintances, finding 'something' he can poke fun at. And if he can't find something, his imaginative mind will think of something. As innocent and friendly as he intends to be, sometimes his remarks may get a bit too rough for some. Surely an effect of growing up around Ishgard's stalwart working class. As quick as he is to tease, one may find his face going beet red when on the receiving end for once. Stubborn. Dedicated. Excitable. Vain. Spiteful. Aversion to deeper connections.
Justice has an almost childlike attachment to his mammet Aphmau. The tiny "female" mammet spills out sweet words of encouragement and affection at every moment. She will, however, spit venom just as carelessly to those who catch Justice's bad side. Justice treats Aphmau as more of a human than a mammet, claiming she is his best friend. In fact, those who know Justice might notice she is the only 'person' he calls a friend.

Aphmau

Justice's treasured mammet friend. A small version of the basic mammet model that has accompanied Justice since childhood. She is unmodified except for her eyes, which have been equipped with an aetherometer.

Aetherotransformer

A device invented by Lord Stephanivien of the Skysteel Manufactory. When worn, it converts the wearer's internal aether into lightning-aspect aether which can be used for powering certain machinery. Justice's aetherotransformer is slightly modified to work with his Puppetmaster Drive.

Puppetmaster Drive

A device of Justice's own design. By heavily modifying the core within Skysteel's autoturrets, the Drive creates a mental link between the wearer of the aetherotransformer and the mechanical recipient of their aether. By doing this, Justice can mentally manipulate small automatons as if he were holding a puppet's strings. The process is extremely tiring, as the link requires a constant flow of aether.

Clockwork Alexander

A small (in comparison), fully functional replica of the colossus Alexander. Recovered from within the massive primal, Justice spared no expense in obtaining it. He has installed his Puppetmaster Drive within, allowing him full use of the tiny fortress' weaponry. Its main weapon is a set of two miniature burst-fire machine guns which renew their ammunition supply by some unknown process. It also sports a powerful astrally-aspected laser which, when used, puts the Clockwork Alexander out of commission for a time. The automaton is also capable of creating a powerful magitek forcefield roughly 10 yalms in diameter.

Guns

■ Midas -One of Justice's prized possessions, which he named for famed Garlean technologist Midas nan Garlond. A revolver from before Garlemald's magitek revolution, and yet still more advanced than most Lominsan guns. It is unmodified, as Justice thinks that would be an insult to the craftsmanship, and thus does not work in tandem with his aetherotransformer or any attachments.
■ Blue Steel -An Ishgardian model of gunblade made of mythril. Lightweight, sharp, and sturdy, Blue Steel is perfect for battle.

Osbert Burke, Father. ( )
Character's Thoughts:"Father's a good man, if a little stern and stubborn. At least, that's what I can gather from the little I get to see him."
A stonemason whose family has worked as builders under the auspices of House Dzemael for over 300 years past. A dedicated worker, Justice has never been able to see him as much as he would like. Ishgard is a large city, constantly under attack, and it is in constant need of maintenance. He was not friendly to the news that Justice sought work as a machinist, but grudgingly accepted it when Justice promised to use the knowledge learned there to help design more efficient fortifications.
Winifred Burke, Mother. ( )
Character's Thoughts: "Always at work, even after losing her ability to walk. She does it because she's needed. And that's also why my work must continue."
A field medic trained in conjury and thaumaturgy. She once fought alongside the Temple Knights against the Dravanian Horde, but a brutal attack left her crippled and unable to walk. Refusing to stop helping, she settled herself among the medical bays within the city walls. As caring as she is, her work often keeps her from her family. When Justice was a child, she gifted him two mammets.
Ardith Burke, Older Sister. ( )
Character's Thoughts: " Ardith can carry on the family business for me. And the family line, for that matter."
Big sister Ardith has been hard at work learning the family trade of stonemasonry for as long as Justice can remember. What little time she could spare for him when they were younger quickly dwindled as her incredible skills became more needed.
Delbert Burke, Brother. ( )
Character's Thoughts: "You're a hero, but sometimes I wish you weren't. We'll meet again in the hall of our fathers."
A Temple Knight who perished five years ago ensuring that the citizens of Coerthas made it to the Skyfire Locks as the Dreadwyrm Bahamut unleashed his fury on the world.

ಌ OOC NOTES ಌ

OOC INFORMATION

Player Note
Justice is a concept that came about from a desire to play a summoner who used an Alexander-egi. Of course, that's not possible within the lore, so I got to thinking and Justice is what happened! It might be obvious to any who played FFXI, but the concept for Justice as a pseudo-summoner naturally evolved into making him a pseudo-puppetmaster. I'm very much looking forward to growing him further with help from all those he and I come into contact with.
Personal RP Limits
I have very few limits when it comes to roleplay. I draw the line at maiming, death, and above all lore breaking. Anything else is fair game.

CHARACTER TIDBITS

Potential Plot Hooks
Justice is meant to be friendly and easy to approach, as well as having multiple reasons to travel and be almost anywhere that might be needed to set up a scene. Don't feel constricted to any of the suggestions below. Please feel free to chat with me about any scene ideas!
Justice needs materials! Stolen Garlean magitek, Illuminati scraps, mayhap a relic recovered from a floating Allagan continent...? Whether he's seeking an adventurer to put to work, browsing your wares, or seeking a disciple of the hand to make a part for him, he's ready to make a deal.
Fellow machinists? Prospective engineers of the Bangpots? Drinking buddies at the Hard Place? There are a number of ways you might already know Justice. Or at least have seen him around.
Justice is in trouble! He couldn't resist the urge to try and get a closer look at the giant of whirlicogs, and now the poor boy is pinned down by Illuminati forces, or morbols, or ratels, or Twelve-know-what-else. And wouldn't luck have it, he's almost out of ammunition. Maybe you can help him out?
Character Lore Adherence
Lore is a very, very important part of roleplaying in Hydaelyn or any other world for me. I adhere as closely to the lore as possible at all times, and I expect my partners to do the same. Lore breaking is something I will not compromise on, and if your character does break something then we'll sadly just have to go our separate ways. No hard feelings. Lore bending, however, is something I can easily live with. Depending on just how much bending is going on, of course.
