Personality

Outside of her tribal-ties, K'nahli would usually appear as withdrawn or disinterested in strangers. Though she has a strong and fiery personality, a potential sense of shyness or even anxiety can make appearances beneath her habitual attempt to remain appearing confident should she find herself among larger groups and crowds on the very seldom occasion that she would find herself in the outside world at all. Though not definitively bashful, it is less common to see the girl exchange in prolonged conversation or interaction with those of whom she is not very familiar with, but when she does, the girl would otherwise seem quite normal and at ease in their presence - typically so if the conversation or activity is of particular interest to her.

At home however, K'nahli keeps mostly to herself when not otherwise obliged to, though this is not to be confused with a sense of discomfort around her own family. Rather, she has since distanced herself from most people and is quite content keeping to her own devices.

In spite of her aforementioned, more-solitary habits, K'nahli has made a single exception a younger girl known as K'mih Yohko, one whom a lot of K'nahli's actions and interactions revolve around. K'mih is one of K'nahli's numerous blood sisters, though the only one of whom she holds with any obvious and heightened sense of regard over the rest. A significant amount of K'nahli's time has been spent in the presence of K'mih, exposing her to much of the young one's eccentric and far, more sociable personality - something which, as a result, is likely the biggest reason why K'nahli had even managed to make many friends at all during her shy youth. Nowadays, K'nahli displays a significant degree of responsibility over K'mih, largely to compensate for the younger girl's considerably-perceived lack of maturity; leading her to assume the role of 'elder sister' - a relationship not commonly regarded amongst half-blooded siblings in Seeker culture.

K'nahli possesses a relatively carefree attitude in ordinary day life. However, a burning passion for archery is cause for an exception. Having spent most of her years training thoroughly from a very, young age, the girl's archery skills have developed into something quite remarkable given the time that she has spent training herself. Her abilities are greatly loaned to by the fact that she had never once considered her training a chore or necessity by any standard, but rather, something of leisure.

Recent:

A lesser known fact has been that K'nahli's attitude has continued to deteriorate in the years following the calamity. Though her sisterly relationship with K'mih truly blossomed during this period, in which made her a significant character in the girl's life, everything else seemed to be drawn under a cynical light for the young archer and her temper has on occasion landed her in trouble with her family and peers. It is especially for this reason that K'nahli has a very limited group of people of whom she engages with on a regular basis.

In recent days, K'nahli has even found reason to hold spite toward both her sister K'mih and her father, K'yohko, causing her to grow increasingly bitter about her circumstances and her own way of reacting to things. Her tribe's migration from the sands of Sagolii northwards toward the eastern reaches of Thanalan has been a period of extended solitude for the girl, having temporarily kept herself from interacting with even K'mih for some time. Upon arriving at what would be considered their new home, K'nahli had settled down to a degree though tensions between her and K'mih have not simmered down as a short exchange between the two was delivered with a cold vibe from the elder sister.

K'nahli's relationship with her father had also become even more complex the same day after a tense confrontation between the two resulted in K'nahli revealing the incestuous attraction K'mih held for the man, but taking responsibility for it in place of her. Though somewhat left with little choice on the matter, the girl has tried to reason with herself that the revelation served as something to protect K'mih should the 'real' truth ever come to light, especially considering K'ile Tia's eavesdropping on the conversation between K'mih and K'nahli at the time regarding her personal feelings. Though in truth, the aspects of why she did run deeper than what she would have herself believe.

History

Childhood

K'nahli was born somewhere within the Sagolii Desert to a Seeker of the Sun clan known as Hipparion, a tribe locally revered for their impressive and tactful hunting style and game hunting.

She had begun training with a weapon from a very young age unlike most girls within the tribe. This was not out of obligation however. It occurred when K'nahli stumbled across a young tia shooting targets with his bow a little outside of their settlement. Intrigued by his skill and accuracy with the weapon, the girl curiously lurked behind him, carefully analyzing his every moment from afar while sitting shyly in the barren land much behind him. It didn't take long for the tia to detect her presence, to which he courteously invited her to take a closer look, albeit still at a safe distance.

It didn't take long for K'nahli to notice that the young miqo'te, known as K'yhaega Tia spent most days practicing the same ritual outside of the village which, in turn, resulted in her becoming a frequent spectator of his training. As time progressed and K'nahli grew a little older, K'yhaega offered to train her how to use a bow, going as far as to even craft a specially made short bow just so that the young girl could take part. Needless to say, it took some time for a girl of her age and stature to begin using and shooting it correctly. However, K'yhaega was patient and kind in his endeavour and proved to be an exceptional teacher. The years passed and K'nahli went through many changes and assumed a variety of typical responsibilities within the tribe which included hunting lessons, spear training and simply taking care of the young and elderly on occasion. However, this did not distract from her ever-prevalent ritual as she continued practicing and going on small hunting excursions with her tia mentor whenever she had earned herself the free time.

Her mother, K'nihqa Bashir served in teaching K'nahli many important skills that would help her in the real world should she ever choose to venture from the tribe. Her mother in actual fact, had little association with the outside world in her lifetime but had been given the same advice from her family when she was younger. In addition to this and the typical training that mothers pass on to their daughters with regards to hunting, she spent many days helping train her in culinary arts so that she could provide for not only herself but for her own family whenever that day would come. A skill that would later come to be greatly appreciated by K'mih.

Adolescence

With her life becoming mildly less busy, she had acquired a substantial amount of independence and free time. Naturally, she took advantage of this and allowed herself to spent more time with her mentor who frequented solo or duo hunting sessions. Her admiration for him had only grown over the years and she had soon come to realise that she had grown somewhat infatuated with him. Regardless, she would not allow her feelings to be known for fear of ruining what she already had. She enjoyed any excuse to hunt and further train her archery skills and never turned down the chance to go with him.

This however changed shortly after her fifteenth birthday.

On this occasion, she surprisingly turned down K'yhaega's invitation to a short hunting excursion in exchange for spending some time with K'mih on her birthday. Being quite used to hunting alone on occasion, he happily proceeded for the short skirmish without her company. Many hours later, he still hadn't been seen returning to the village and come evening time K'nahli had become alarmingly worried. Paying no heed to the advice of others to have faith in the young hunter, she hurried out towards the plains in search of her mentor who she was sure had encountered some trouble. She spent a number of hours alone in the freezing desert, desperately searching for any hint of his presence. Eventually, she stumbled over something lying in the dirt, causing her to tall face first into the sand. Regaining her composure, she analyzed the object only to realise it was the corpse of K'yhaega Tia.

Blaming herself for his death, K'nahli became considerably withdrawn and introverted for a number of months as she remained unable to come to terms with her mentor's death. Following his burial, one of K'yhaega's siblings offered an emerald pendant that he had always worn to the girl, claiming that it would have been what the young tia had wanted, considering that he was very fond of the girl and had often spoken very highly of her.

K'nahli has mostly left her guilt behind her, but occasionally has mild periods of depression when she recalls the event persistently. These days she leads a typical tribal life but continues to train avidly with her bow every day.

K'nihqa.png

Mother: K'nihqa Bashir

K'nihqa was born daughter to K'bashir Nuhn. She mated with K'yohko at a young age following his successful challenge against her father, K'bashir, resulting in the birth of her only child; K'nahli. K'nihqa had always held an interest in K'yohko ever since meeting him as a child. She supported his challenge for the title of nuhn against her own father which resulted in his victory. K'niqha served an important part in her daughters life, offering her training in how to hunt game as well as providing education to the best of her ability. Additionally she also trained K'nahli in her culinary abilities, much to the delight of her younger half-sister, K'mih. She continues to serve as an excellent huntress among the tribe specialising in spears and daggers.

Father: K'yohko Nuhn

K'yohko was the succeeding nuhn to K'bashir and has so far mated with three females during his status as breeding nuhn. He has had a typical amount of participation in K'nahli's adolescent life which is to be expected of most male miqo'te. He did however aid in her care when she was much younger showing respectable paternal care and upbringing towards his young daughter. K'nahli has had less and less interaction with her father as the years progressed, particularly so after the death of her mentor from whence she became very withdrawn for a period of time, but even so she still respects him as a powerful tribesmember. Her mother often spoke fondly of his efforts and actions involved in K'nahli's upbringing which tended to exceed those exercised by most nuhns. Though he spent no more time with them as one would expect, he seemed to have made it count.

K'mih Yohko.jpg

Half-Sister: K'mih Yohko

K'mih is K'nahli's half sister, sharing the same nuhn as herself but having a different birth mother; K'mihgazu Thalen. Though she is not K'nahli's only half sister, she is the closest person to her and the one she holds dearest to her heart. Both miqo'tes treat each other like full-blooded siblings, sharing almost everything together. K'mih is little over a year younger than K'nahli and is often perceived as the eternally-youthful and energetic of the two. She is very social and excitable, often dragging her sister into many situations she would otherwise have no interest or business in. K'mih's relationship with K'nahli strengthened following the death of K'yhaega. Having realised that life could be unexpectedly short and end in the blink of an eye, K'nahli developed a drive to want to spend a lot of her time with her closest friend and grew somewhat over-protective of her.

Other Notes

You might know me from

Members of the tribe are likely aware of K'nahli for being an avid, young huntress being that she is a very talented archer and frequents hunting excursions and training. In addition to this, people may recognise her as the 'strict older sister' that is often accompanying a younger, pink-haired, short miqo'te known as K'mih. K'mih's playful nature is typically attention grabbing and would naturally result in K'nahli being noticed too.
