Character History

About Kumori

Kumori Farcloud is from the small village of Orozo.

She holds the title of shrine guardian where she is charged with defending the shrine priestess and the village inhabitants from external threats. She took great pride in her duty but pride alone wasn't enough to stem the tide of fate. The village was attacked by Xaela of the Dorthal tribe, within a few hours they killed most of the villagers.

Despite having received specific instructions from her father to flee with her sisters, Kumori was overzealous and wanted to prove that she was a capable shrine guardian. She broke away from the rest of her family to rejoin her brother who had stayed behind to fend off the attack. Her father Haru tried to stop her but he had resolved to get his other daughters to safety before pursuing his foolish daughter.

Before Kumori could meet up with her brother she was waylaid by a group of Dorthal that were patrolling the outskirts of the village looking for any stragglers. She fought valiantly but was ultimately overwhelmed by sheer numbers, they taunted, kicked, spit, and laughed at the severely wounded Auri. Just as the assailants were preparing to deliver the final blow a Raen descended upon them with an unbridled rage dispatching them in a most brutal fashion. For a moment through her blurry vision she had mistaken this person for a savage beast but as a face drew near, the fierce face of the "beast" seemingly faded away into a concerned expression, it was her brother Arashi.

He scooped her battered body up and only one word escaped his breath "Fool". Arashi traveled for malms with Kumori in tow until he stumbled upon an old abandoned hut where a hermit used to reside. Days, weeks, months went by as Arashi tended to her wounds in silence. She could not muster the courage to speak not even to give a thank you because she knew that she had failed. After several months Kumori made a full recovery and as soon as she could stand Arashi had spoken the first words to her in months, "I must go, there is still something that I need to do. You need to find the others."

After those few words he went silent again, Arashi handed her a rucksack with food, water, a bedroll, some equipment to wear, and finally her weapon. Although Kumori uses a special technique to wield her blade, Arashi hefted it one handed with little effort placing it in her hands. He embraces her for a brief moment then gives a firm nod and leaves the hut not looking back. That was the last time she saw her brother but she knew by that look in his eyes that they all had their roles to play and she would play hers by finding the rest of their family. Shortly afterward she set out before pausing to utter "Thank you brother, I will not fail again".

Three years have passed since that fateful day. Kumori has lost contact with her brother Arashi but has found a lead on the whereabouts of her sisters. She set out to reunite with her family and ultimately reclaim her home.

Kumori has trained under her sister Sayori using Hotaru no hiko style martial arts. She isn't as physically strong as Sayo but compensates by using aether imbued attacks.

Weapons

• K'tetska wields a giant mechanical axe developed by her brother K'dahj, she named it "The slicer shovel". She believes it to be a shovel despite her brother's protests.

• She often rummages around in K'dahj's workshop when it's unattended and will use whatever invention she can get her hands on including any type of weapon.

He cares for his tribe deeply but also has the resolve to make difficult decisions when concerning the bigger picture. ♥ O'laine Pahne : O'laine is K'tetska's mother and a warrior of great strength, her combat prowess is said to rival that of the K tribe's Nuhn. K'tetska has had very little contact with her mother and the tribe as well as her father go out of their way to not mention her. ♥ K'dahj Xhugo : K'tetska's younger brother and traveling companion. He is an inventor of sorts and despite K'tetska not having a clue on what his inventions do she still flaunts them proudly as if they were her own creations.
