Appearance
Height Five feet five inches tall
Eyes Lilac/purple
Hair Long, straight, black, turned curly by static electricity. Kanin usually keeps it tied in pigtails.
Skin and makeup Pale skin, wears black eye shadow and red lipstick.
Fashion Usually wears skirts, dresses or robes and favours the colours pink and black. Growing up, the clothes her mentor gave her were bland and boringly practical, and she became so sick of it she rebelled to the point of learning how to sew so she could make her own clothes.
Personality
Kanin is often perceived as "crazy" by the people she meets. Her mind is addled, she has a short attention span, she says strange and illogical things and believes that Chocobos are more intelligent than humans and can speak. Despite this, she likes making friends and helping others, though she tends to lack success on both fronts. When she gets anxious or upset, she can turn into quite the drama queen and will accidentally trigger destruction spells, usually electrical ones. She's also fairly guy-crazy and views males with an air of fascination, having not met many men her own age in her time as her mentor mostly kept her in solitude with her studies.
Combat
She tries to cause as much damage in as short a time as possible. She often fails to stratergise in combat, forgoing a chance to take a much needed healing potion in favour of launching another fireball. She uses lots of fire and lightning and her ether drains quickly.

History/Timeline
As a young child, her parents were a pair of Eorzean Midlanders who had trouble making ends meet. A Lalafell Black Mage named Ezron Loron offered to take her in as his apprentice in exchange for 20,000 Gil, and though her parents were fond of her, they took his offer. She and Ezron traveled all over the world and she flourished in her studies, but Ezron was somewhat unscrupulous and frequently used Kanin as a guinea pig to test his spells, potions and inventions on. The constant experimentation and unconventional upbringing has left her sanity rattled. She's become prone to babbling nonsense, having a short attention span, and accidentally discharging electrical spells on herself. Eventually, Ezron died of old age, leaving her without a teacher or a purpose. With no where else to go, she decided to pack up and return to Eorzea to build a new life and possibly find her parents.
