[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION Hailing from Doma, Kasumi comes from a long line of shinobi who have served a noble house of Akiba for generations. Having started at an early age, Kasumi is in charge of the care of the Akiba family's only son, Takeru. While some would feel resentment at being born into a life of servitude, Kasumi feels nothing but pride for her work. Domestic duties, protecting, scouting and spying are all roles she willingly fills for the Akiba family as countless members of her family have done before her. When Garlemald occupied Doma, she fled with Takeru to the safety of Eorzea with other refugees. Since then, the two have been making their way throughout this unfamiliar country as best they can. APPEARANCE Standing at a mere 5ft2, Kasumi is both short and slim in stature, her body seems more boyish than feminine. Her eyes are a dark brown bordering on black, while her skin is rather fair in contrast to her short jet black hair. Underneath her left eye she has a small freckle. Typically she stands with her arms folded over her chest. She tends to wear darker colors, helping her blend into the background although occasionally when the situation occurs, she does own formal attire. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Short, even for a midlander. ■ Never fully embracing her femininity, Kasumi comes across quite boyish. ■ Petite frame PERSONALITY Kasumi is rather quiet and reserved in nature. She typically does her best to blend in preferring to hide in a crowd or behind someone rather than stand out in any way. She has a warm heart and genuinely enjoys her life attending to Takeru. Kasumi is happiest when busy, doing her best to maintain a carefully planned routine in her work. L I K E S ■ Structure and discipline. Kasumi is happiest when keeping herself to a strict routine. She enjoys structure in her life and feels best when things are kept on track. ■ Keeping busy. Taking her work seriously, she prefers to keep busy. Whether it's helping Takeru, or preparing things in advance, she never likes to stay idle for long. D I S L I K E S ■ Military/soldiers. Kasumi has a strong distaste for any kind of military forces. Seeing them as violent dogs, it's her pride in the nature and intimacy of her own work that makes any large military force seem cold and violent. ■ Idleness.Laziness and idleness are something Kasumi cannot abide by. Living a busy life, she sees other peoples idleness as a waste of time. H O B B I E S ■ Cooking. Always enjoying to learn new skills, Kasumi took up cooking at a young age in order to personally cook for Takeru. While her knowledge of Doman cuisine is quite plentiful, her Eorzean recipes leave something to be desired. ■ Wood carving. Since the two of them fled to Eorzea, Kasumi has taken up wood carving in her spare time. While being refugees, Kasumi has far less to do and has found her making of little wooden sculptures helps keep her hands busy. S T R E N G T H S ■ Stealth.Naturally small and quiet with a habit of being overlooked, Kasumi makes for a great shinobi. ■ Speed. Quick on her feet, her body type makes her a fast adversary in combat, as quick to escape as she is to strike. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Strength/Vitality. Kasumi is neither strong, nor can she take more than a couple of hits without losing a fight. She is open to teaching her family art to others. ■ She has a close relationship with Takeru who is an Au ra, the two are rarely seen apart and she can seem over zealously protective at times. Character Lore Adherence Kasumi adheres to Doman lore as much as is currently possible.
