Appearance & Personality
Kazuma Arcend is but a simple adventurer with an open mind, wishing to meet all and see all, he’s a 6'6.8"ft tall Highlander with a rigidly athletic build, and a caring smile that he wishes to share with all he meets, although close friends refer to his expression being serious and even furious when focused. He has neck length hair, colored as red as the darkest Dalamud, eyes shimmering in the same red hue as his hair like crimson Ul'dahn jewels, normal and healthy ears, his strong chin was squared and even, common among many Highlander men, a small trimmed beard that reached halfway up his jawline, and a small vertical scar over his right eye in which he had face painted a little chocobo to look like it's kissing his scar all better, making it so children won't find his face too frightening when they see it. His choice in attire may vary, for he always wishes to prioritize protection with a mixture of mobility and so he always attempts to balance the two, ending up in many attire changes throughout his life, however, whenever the Immortal Flames call for his aid or is representing his Grand Company, he always sports his Field Commander attire to show his rank.

Teenage
Kazuma became a simple Knight who wished nothing more than to be a hero of his lands, but it was never enough for his father, his father wished for him to become powerful enough to put the royal guard to shame, so he one day put Kazuma under training with an old acquaintance of his in the kingdom's old graveyards. At first, he simply thought of it as very private training so he'd stay sharp and strong, until he started feeling ill, the gem embedded in his family blade was cursed, and attained a firm grip on him, and so, he kept training, becoming more and more like a beast infused with darkness, until finally, he became the kingdom's pride and joy in their military, the lands around the kingdom he served, heard of his feats, bandit camps laid waste by a simple swordsman, unopposed, unequaled, but one day, once the kingdom he fought under achieved their empty victory against their enemy kingdom at the death of the other kingdom's kind ruler, the ruler he struck down only smiled, knowing that it wasn't Kazuma's will to become such a weapon of murder and war at first glance, he gave him a blessing of light; the ruler's family heirlooms; a longsword, a shield and a gem. Kazuma was moved to tears the instant he grasped the gem in his hand, feeling the light within it rip away the grip the dark jewel had on him, he begged for forgiveness which the ruler gladly gave before his last breath. He knew what would happen now, he'd become enemy of both his and the former ruler's kingdoms from not wanting to be their weapon anymore, so he ran, ran far away from his homeland, to Eorzea, the land filled with aether, brimming with light and justice.
Early Adulthood
He struggled keeping the balance in his soul but achieved victory over the foul gem in his family blade, keeping it in check and thus becoming a Paladin, now earning control of both Light and Dark, he set forth as an adventurer, atoning for his cruel and former life. While being an adventurer now at heart, he never hesitates to lend a hand to all Grand Companies and the kingdom of Ishgard, always going wherever he pleased while doing his best to not let others be manipulated or used as he was.
Hobbies
Adventures, friendship, a good challenge, lending a hand to most whom need it, learning and improving his control over both light and dark affinity from his professions, making meals for others, sparring against Grishild the Ungood whenever her temper gets the best of her to calm her down, and expanding his knowledge on things that may help improve the realm of Eorzea with his own hands, even if it's just a bit. (Wishing he had eyebrows.)
