One may dare say she's practically immortal and an utter beast with the axe.

Her last known where-abouts were that she was heading for the battle of Carteneau during the Calamity, only to be stopped by her arch nemesis "Silver". Appearance & Personality

Appearance: She had very pale skin, almost gothic-like, as she was also covered in an exceptional amount of scars from being flogged and beaten into submission by her captors in Dead Cell. One of her eyes was rendered useless by this as well, though she leaves it uncovered, it being clouded and offering no sight.

Personality: Very cold and distant from anyone and everyone around her. She's all business and if it's not business, she's not interested. Nobody knows why she's distant and many opt to just leave her to her vices as a result.

Biography

Childhood/Adolescence

During her younger years, living with her mother on a coastal cottage in La Noscea, pirate bandits raided her home and took her mother's life while she was forced to watch. After they fled, she was much too young to understand life and death and after a bit, she had no choice but to move on and try to survive on her own. She spent several years like this, growing a feral like mentality as she had to hunt and kill for food, forage and create clothing for herself. Eventually, a pirate ship would find her and adopt her aboard the vessel.

The captain of the vessel would take the young, impressionable youth under their wing, teaching her the ways of the sea, how to be a pirate and even training her to wield an axe, she proving to be a natural at the weapon. One fateful night, however, an opposing vessel would assail hers, and a bloody battle ensued, resulting in the untimely death of her captain and mentor, after they've grown so attached.

After the traumatic ordeal, the ship would dock at a Thanalanian port where she would depart and make her way for Ul'dah to begin life anew there.

Yell "Dead Cell"

Needing to make gil in order to survive within Ul'dah, she entered herself into gladiatorial tournaments, her skill she acquired as an axe-wielding pirate from her late mentor made her quite the force to be reckoned with, winning her fight after fight, raising her fame and notoriety. This was until one particular opponent, a rather imposing Roegadyn, brutally bested her and left her hanging by a shred of life. Before her aether could fully slip away from her, she was abducted to Mor Dhona, where her life would take a turn for the worst.

Within Mor Dhona, her aether was drawn from her under a process she only understood to be called "Dead Cell". For reasons unknown, she was rendered empty, but miraculously kept alive as a living 'battery' for aether, attaining it being the only way she could live. As such, she was tasked with targets to kill, and those targets would give her the aether she hungered for to keep her alive, effectively turning her into a cold-blooded assassin. During her time, her 'training' consisted of being beaten and flogged by her captors, but her tenacity, her shutting out of all emotion and feeling, and her ruthlessness earned her the title "Gold" within the ranks of the organization.

However, this brought on the ire of one called code-named "Silver", who seemed hellbent on taking on her title. There was many a battle between her and "Silver", each time she besting the desperate miqo'te each and every time, which only drove her nemesis into more of a psychotic frenzy.

Eventually, the organization would falter and decay, allowing her to escape, where she made her way back to Ul'dah to continue her life. Within Ul'dah, she would join a Mercenary Corp called "Corvus Cinis". Within Corvus, she met a Miqo'te named Tessa, who served to be someone quite important to her, and an unspoken alternative to slaying foes to sustain the aether necessary for her to live day to day.

Aetheric Manifestation

Her time with this corp would be short-lived, and after a sudden, unannounced departure, she made her way back to Mor Dhona, to mop up the any remnants of Dead Cell she could find. Before she could get too far, however, Midgardsormr's aether lingering within Mor Dhona, coupled with the aether from other sources, seem to cause a debilitating effect on Kelaynu, something akin to pregnancy, forcing her to abscond to the Black Shroud, where she would miraculously give birth to her daughter whom she named "Liusaidh". Her daughter was born unnaturally, and even more unnatural, she couldn't even be considered "mortal". She was an aetheric being, and as such, the youngling aged at a rather alarming rate. By time Dalamud fell, the youth threatened to surpass her own mother in terms of age and her life expectancy would be short if something wasn't done.

Just before the Calamity, heeding the call to arms at Carteneau against the Garlean invasion, she enshrouded her daughter, so that none may know of her or her identity and sent her on, before riding out to the battle herself. She would be stopped, however, by her nemesis, Silver. The time she spent raising a daughter caused her to deviate from her combative ways, but after a vicious goading from Silver, it all came back to her, and the battle ensued. However, she would falter and Silver would gain the upper hand, pouncing on top of her and attempting to drive a aether-infused dagger into her skull to finish her off. However, one of Dalamud's meteors would slam into them, ending the fight before they could themselves....
