Character

Test

General

Pronunciation: Ket-Ah / Vesh-Ale

Age: 25 Years

Height: 5"6

Appearance

Ket'a has a dark brown hair colour, light blue eyes along with a light to medium grey skin complexion. He has two facial tattoos, those under his eyes being of a dark brown colour and on his cheeks those of which are a light silver / grey. His body is somewhat well toned, no doubt due to the fact he travels most places by foot.

As for his height, he is just somewhat taller than average in comparison to other Miqo'te males.

Behavior

Ket'a is a very polite and well mannered to all he comes across. Thinking first impressions are those which last the longest. He is known for being quick and witty in speech, which has saved him from a few tough situations in the past. Finding it easy to de-escalate situations if the need arises. He can often get irritated by other Miqo'te who talk nothing but hunting, due to his past and interests in different fields. But being polite as he is, rarely shows his irritation or acts upon it.

Ket'a is known to be quite positive, rarely letting things get him down. Or at least when they do, he does very well at not showing it.

History/Timeline

The second born of his mother Ket Veshael, the first being his older sister Sezsha. Ket'a grew up being taught to hunt as did all of the other males he knew, typical of being a Keeper Miqo'te. Yet for some reason, he grew up showing little interest regarding the hunt. It did not meld with him as well as it did other Miqo'te. Rather prefering to watch animals, examine their behaviour and the habitat of which they occupied, the plants they ate and how everything seemed to work together in harmony and have a purpose. But alas it was not easy, his mother grew restless with his seemingly futile hobby. And kept trying to steer him onto the path of which his family and all those before him travelled.

Through harsh words and closed fists did Ket'a reluctantly hunt with the rest of his family. Yet in secret he continued his observations, knowing his heart was set upon a different path. So rather than tell his mother of his wishes, he set out at an early age. Stating he was going to hunt far and wide, to fell beasts of great stature, in order to make his family proud of him. But little did his mother know instead of a strung bow and sharpened dagger, he left with a crude alembic set along with his well used mortar and pestle.

Ket'a left home, hoping to make his family proud. Hoping to enhance his knowledge of Alchemy and the world around him... hoping to follow his own path.

Tendencies

Likes

  • Drawing and illustrations, Ket'a believes it is sometimes best to be shown how something is done rather than being told.
  • Observing animals and nature, of which many take for granted and never get to see the true beauty of the world around them.
  • A full plate, good wine and better company.
  • The seaside, a place which is abundant with nature... and most importantly the sea, to which Ket'a likes sitting in as the shallow waves move him around.
  • Smelling good, through his Alchemy Ket'a creates his own fragrances and uses them often. He knows being pleasant to the nose is always a bonus when dealing with others.

Dislikes

  • Too much sun and heat... give me the soft sound of rain on a window to lull me asleep.
  • Those who are obessed with destruction and violence.
  • Bad tasting wine, as if you're going to make something at least have the decency to make it good!

Hobbies/Talents

  • Very observant, can pick up on the slightest smile or the smallest insect.
  • A lifelong skill in Alchemy and the workings of nature, sometimes thinking outside of the box in order to accomplish things nobody thought of previously.
  • Drawing, a skill that started from sketching a small Ladybug sitting on a Gysahl Green when Ket'a was very young.
  • Swimming, something that became a pastime due to the lake near his home and a lack of chores to finish.

Relationships

Ket Veshael - "A passionate woman, sometimes I think she cared more for the hunt than she did of me. Seeing me more as an object than a son."

Sezsha Veshael - "As typical as an older sister could be, always seeing herself as more important than myself. She bullied me often, but all my mother would say is that it was 'character building', and that was when she responded in a pleasant manner too."

Malkar'li Veshael - "My father is a kind soul, I think I get most of my traits from him. Always there for me when I needed him the most, giving me a few extra pieces of meat so I would not return home empty handed only to incur the wrath of a dissapointed mother."

Rinh Hallani - "I thought she would have kicked me away at first, only for her to help me find what I was looking for. I don't know her too well yet, but she seems to share a lot of interests with me and treats me pretty well compared to other Keeper's that I have come across in my travels."

Rumors

Common Rumors

  • "For a hunter, I don't see him carrying a bow around much" - Inquisitive Keeper Miqo'te.
  • "You should see the small wooden box of my brother's, full of sticks, plants and vials of fluid. He must think me and mother as idiots!" - Sezsha Veshael.

Moderate Rumors

  • "You see his mortar right there? Its just a kitchen bowl if you look at it closely enough, the fool spends all his Gil on ingredients rather than save up for real equipment!" - Elzen Alchemist.

Rare Rumors

  • "He apparently told his father one time that he thought he should be treated as an equal to his sister, his mother over-heard and thus he was locked in a cupboard for three days!" - Nosey Neighbour.
