Kiri is the sole survivor of her clan that once roamed the border between Gridania and Coerthas. In her 8th winter, all of Kiri's people were slaughtered in a particularly brutal attack by the Garlean Empire. Kiri witnessed the horror unfold before her, hidden by her mother in a cupboard. Near death from starvation and exposure to the harsh Coerthean weather, Kiri was found and adopted by an Elezen carpenter by the name of Oslant Lairoux from Camp Dragonhead. Over the folowing 10 years, Kirk tried fitting in. She even abandoned the naming convention of her ancestors, dropping the tribal prefix N'. Her New Surname was bestowed her by her adoptive father. 'Morning' as she brightened his twighlight years like a new dawn and filled the old Woodworker with the love and happiness of raising a child that had been denied him with his wife, who like so many, perished in the dragonsong war.
Kiri learned the crafts of botany and woodworking from her new father, but was always fascinated by the activities of the soldiers. She often sat mesmerized watching the martial prowess in wonder and was especially drawn too the power and majesty of Ishgards legendary Dragoons whenever they dropped by the fort.
Kiri is quite short and slender even by Miqo'te standards as she stands only 5 fulms tall and weighs a scant 89 pons. She has athletic build with fairly long legs in relation to her body and a grace in her movement as if she is about to start dancing at a moments notice. She has smooth delicate fair skin, devoid of blemishes or scars (yet!) and long shining violet hair which she normally keeps tied up and well groomed. Kiri's most striking feature is her heterochromia. Her left eye is a deep ruby red while her right one is a brilliant golden amber. She also has a light smattering of pale freckles across her nose and cheeks. Kiri is as cute as a button and she is completely oblivious to it. Growing up in the woods of Coerthas , Kiri appears somewhat naive, wide eyed and out of place in the big cities.
Aspects That Stand Out:
Kiri is quite shy and quiet at first, but her true personality shows itself once she gets to know you. She is friendly, silly and fiercely loyal to the people she cares for and her cuteness and playful demeanor easily endears her to people, though she is completely clueless about it and often denies this fact with antics such as puffing out her cheeks in outrage or sticking her small pink tongue out at the speaker, usually resulting in those around her finding her even MORE adorable, which in turn drives her further up the wall. Kiri is also deadly graceful on the battlefield, her combat style appearing more like a lethal dance. She is fearless in combat, almost to a fault and won't hesitate to take on enemies far bigger than herself without pause to protect her friends.
