Character
Kiterina / Firewing
Being free from the usual Miqo'te naming conventions, Kiterina's name is a combination of her parent's names-- K'rynia and T'eren. She normally introduces herself as Kit.
Her mother, K'rynia, chose Featherwing as her last name, being an adopted cub with none. Her father T'eren's last name was Tia, following his tribe's tradition. In reference to his red tail during a moment by the lake, K'rynia teased him by calling him 'Firetail'. He joked that he was going to use that as his last name and eventually he did, after they were exiled. Kiterina took on Firewing as her last name, in their honor. However, she doesn't usually divulge this information to people unless asked.
Appearance
Kit wears her hair in two braids down the side of her face, exactly how her mother did her hair when she was a cub. In clothing, Kit prefers light and minimal for movement.
Behavior
Due to her history, Kiterina is very cautious/shy when meeting new people-- especially Miqo'tes. It takes a certain period of time before she can warm up to strangers and even so, she doesn't reveal too much in early conversation. Ever since starting out on her own, Kit has met many people and became more open. The more time is spent with Kiterina will unlock a curious, playful Miqo'te who is open to the world of possibilities and adventure. Another side of Kiterina that has been revealed so far only to her parents is her fiery side. When angered, Kit is an unusual force to be reckoned with.
Romance
The only love Kit has ever known was from her parents. Both from their love for her, and their love for each other. As such, Kit is clueless about how romance works. If she likes a person, she likes a person. She doesn't understand the feelings that come beyond that.
History
Childhood
Kit was born in M'yahira village just past the Velodyna river, a little ways away from the Twelveswood. Her village was a little different from the usual Miqo'te tribes... because two tribes were living together in harmony. There was the K and T tribe, both offshoots from their bigger tribes. The K tribe were Keepers of the Moon whereas the T tribe were Seekers of the Sun. The Seekers and the Keepers don't bother each other much, and so the village was alive both in the day and night. However, Kit's father, who was a Seeker, fell in love with a Keeper and they had a secret affair. Their affair was soon discovered and their tribes disowned them, considering their relationship wrong and shameful. They banned them to the outskirts of the village, just by the edge of the forest.
Being a cub born of both Seeker and Keeper, she was constantly divided between two worlds. In the days she would often play with her father, who would take her fishing(or hunting) and also to the M’yahira market for trade. When the day grew darker, her mother would sometimes take her out hunting, provided Kiterina was not too tired. Mostly, her mother taught her how to prowl and stalk the night creatures, but Kiterina wasn’t very good at it. She always made too much noise; accidentally stepping on twigs or shuffling bushes, scaring the prey away.
Initially, Kiterina would try to make friends with some of the other cubs when she went to the market with her father. She would smile and greet them with a brightly as they laughed among themselves, but upon her appearance they grew cold. Some of them replied reluctantly, and some shied away completely. She was confused by their reactions and eventually asked her parents. They told her it’s because she was "special", and that she should pay them no mind, all said with sadness in their eyes. She understood that she was different from the rest; it was apparent from the way they treated her. It was only when she grew up, after the Calamity, did she learn that it was because of her parents; her heritage.
The Raid
When she was eight cub years old, a large group of bandits raided M'yahira. Homes were set on fire and Miqo'te women were taken away. Kit was sound asleep when her parents shook her awake, a frantic look in her eyes. Still slightly groggy, Kit remembered the smell of burnt wood and straw, screams echoing outside. Kit was brought to a pile of baskets and nets her father used to store his catches and made to hide inside them. Kit got her hands tangled in the nets and being a child, she whined to her mother. In that one second K'ryia put her bow down to help Kit, the bandits burst through their doors and captured her mother from behind. The bandits stabbed her father and left him to die. Kit's screams were muffled by the chaos outside and as she struggled to get out from the tangle she was in, her father got up, clutching his bleeding side. Kit had never seen so much blood. He instructed her to stay here, and that he would be back with mother. That was the last time Kit saw her parents.
The Aftermath
With the combined effort of both the T and K tribes, they managed to hunt most of the bandits down and saved majority of the women-- but lives were lost in the process. Having drowned in the rampant fire, the village had to be rebuilt. Kit still remembers the horrific scene of bodies sprawled all over the village when she emerged from the ruins of her house. Kit was placed under the care of a foster home, along with other recently orphaned cubs. (TBC)

Relationships
M’raj Mercenary // Calm, mysterious and… a scenic view fan. Kiterina met M’raj on a ship party during the first few days after she arrived in Limsa Lominsa and considered him one of her first few friends. Although extremely shy and cautious at first, Kiterina soon warmed up to behaving somewhat normally around him, though not completely herself yet. He offered to show her around Limsa and she appreciates his generosity. However, recently she's been feeling odd around his presence. There were some instances where she felt emotions and her body react in ways she didn't comprehend. Unable to understand what was happening, Kit started to grow wary and cautious around him with attempts at keeping her guard up.
Aero // Aero has a very quiet disposition and because Kit is quite shy and reserved around strangers, she did not have a chance to have a proper conversation with him. He is known to her as one of M'raj's travel companions.
