Character

General:

Full Name: Kiur Kenneth

Pronunciation: Kai-Ur ("Cure" is a common mistake)

Birthplace: Ishgard

Current Residence: Varies

Orientation: Homosexual

Relationship Status: Single

Religion: None to speak of.

Appearance:

Height: 6'11

Build: Athletic

Skin Color: Tanned

Eye Color: Yellow

Hair Color: Dark Blue (Naturally Dark Brown)

General Clothing Style: Kiur is garbed in a darkly appearance, usually outdated in design and smells of dirt and dust. Not that this is an entirely unpleasant odor, simply causes concern for those not familiar. That's not to say she's consistently dirty; Nay. She boasts a clean face with fair, yellow eyes. Simply her chosen vocation causes her to reek the way she does. She has strong facial features but usually carries a friendly smile.

Voice: Quick, disjointed, but ultimately friendly.

Behavior:

Kiur is an incredibly friendly woman, though plagued by an extremely eccentric manner of speaking. Within her flavor of madness, one can generally locate a vague sense of insight. She may lack a large portion of her memory due to her own actions, but she holds a significant knowledge specific to her own interests, usually relevant to darker levels of magic that common adventurers would much rather avoid.
Despite her eccentricity, she seems fairly well adjusted and once newcomers get used to her odd manner, she doesn't seem to be much of a threat without some level of provocation.

Abilities

Kiur demonstrates her agility despite heavy armor

Kiur is a skilled martial combatant, something she has to resort to considering her usual form of magic is very forbidden, very illegal, and entirely too disturbing.

Instead; She is surprisingly lithe in what is usually fairly heavy armor. She is quicker than her own size may represent and is capable of taking down most of her opponents with her fists, arms, and legs.

If her first preference is fist, and second is dark magic. Her last resort is a simple wielding of a two-handed blade. Easily her worst form of combat but is still reliable if needed for grunt work. Not the best, not the worst, but she'll kill her enemies with it all the same. If she is disarmed, that would be very bad news for her opponent.

History

Early Childhood

Not much is known as to Kiur's history, partially that of her own doing. Born the single daughter of a pair of Ishgardian commoners, she always strayed away from her farming duties to read books. Not so much history, but she was enchanted with the increased use of technology. She never reached the capability of being an actual inventor of devices herself, but she did create a room that allowed for the automatic grinding of seeds. Her parents were skeptical of her choices on this matter, as they were content with their fare in life. They had walls that kept out the cold, food on their tables and clean sheets. Her father played the guitar and her mother was a poet - two things also instilled upon Kiur, giving her a musical edge.

Young Adult

However the life of an adventurer enchanted her too much, to an extent. She wasn't much of a combatant herself. She followed a startup band across the country before being discovered. Having survived long enough to do this (Easy enough considered the trail was full of bandit bodies she could just step over), they were impressed enough to give her some levels of basic combat training, largely in hand-to-hand combat.

She continued to follow this group, slowly devolving into mercenaries as they cleaved their way through open hirings. This led to a further interest in Kiur, taking the bodies and performing experiments on them, using various levels of technology to see how corpses would react.

Adult and Onward

Kiur became increasingly unstable regarding her mental status, something many of her friends took notice of. Upon discovering a secret lab near to their base, they destroyed her tech and burned her work. She was attacked by a Thaumaturge with a modified spell, attempting to 'reset' Kiur to her previous, more innocent state.

Unfortunately this simply fragmented her mind, breaking her down even further and leading to memory loss. Abandoned by those she once called friends, Kiur wandered throughout the snowy forests in hopes to find some new goal to work towards.

Her life took a more... irritating turn. On top of already suffering from memory loss and wanderlust, she was recently accosted by Ishgardian knights regarding an accusation. Dalyn Merk, one of her old mercenary band was captured for a murder and thought it might be a good idea to give up a 'dark mage' in order to get a more lenient sentence. It didn't work, but Kiur is wanted for arrest and questioning all the same. Being a fugitive from Ishgardian law, she no longer had the luxury of a bed, nor people to trust to take her in for the night. While fleeing, exhaustion and urgency got the better of her as a drake's maw found its way to pierce her armor and she limped off to a Cathedral.
