Basic Info

Kopenich is a Miqo'te monk. He lives in Thanalan, visiting local towns/cities for small jobs and work. Though he has a home in the Kindred, his company, he hunts and forages for food still, and sleeps in the desert. As he grew up alone in Thanalan, he is illiterate. He is commonly referred to as "Kope". He always wears an intricate watch with custom designs on his right wrist, a gift from Nhyme.

History

As he will almost instantly inform anyone he acquaints himself with, Kopenich was abandoned at birth, left to fend for himself in Thanalan. He grew up alone, fighting/dodging beast and bandit and brass blade alike for survival as early as he could walk. He cannot recollect how he survived the earliest years of his infancy.

At the age of 11, he had run into a traveling Highlander family that took to him in for a moon, giving him a name and teaching him various things about fighting form and civilization. He has not seen them since they left him, nor does he know the whereabouts of the family.

Kopenich has only continued to train and grow, and recently unlocking his chakra gate to open the world of monk-hood up to him. While he still uses most of his spare time to train, he has recently started to adapt to a slightly civilized lifestyle, and falling in love in the process.

Personality

He will often say, "I've been humbled by the realm." taking to heart his upbringing and lifestyle until recently. Kopenich is an incredibly up-beat and easy going guy, almost always cheerful and lighthearted in almost any situation. Additionally, he is very forthright and honest, feeling he has no reason to not reveal the truth, but will avoid divulging information when necessary.

Having lived no other life before, he does not think badly of his previous life of solitude, and therefore is not bothered by being alone. Though it isn't certain, he feels that he trains in excess to compensate for appearing undesirable in being so, was abandoned.

While he is illiterate and hardly spoke most of his early life, having not needed to, he trains in speaking as well, being surprisingly well-spoken for an illiterate individual, as he feels it helps him get work more easily.

Having lived mostly alone, he has little to associate to, but has some affiliations regardless:

The Kindred Company - Following his now-girlfriend's lead, Kopenich elected to join the Kindred in search of a more stable social environment and work source.

Khapachi Family - Though he hasn't seen them in 10 years, he has heard word of their presence still in Thanalan, and having taken their surname as his own, he does associate himself with the Highlander family. The family was composed of 5 members when he was with them. Kurdotch, the father, Kalithra, the mother, Kalean, the eldest son, Kairi, the middle daughter, and Koen, the youngest son.

Nhyme Syvian - His girlfriend and first love. He hopes that through her, he will come to understand how to properly integrate into society, and is happily learning from -her-. While the relationship is one of mutual love, his natural protective instincts compel him to be with her for the sake of keeping her safe, as her incredibly caring nature often brings her in harms way.

Traits and Other Characteristics

Kopenich's sharp red eyes are more than just for show, as he has incredibly keen eyesight. Growing up fighting with the beasts of the desert, and later being trained somewhat by the Khapachi's proper fist fighting form, he is an exceptional unarmed fighter. Taking after the characteristics of his kind, Kopenich's kicks, through rigorous training, before unlocking chakra, could crush solid stone. Through his training of constantly causing controlled damage to himself, he has developed callused bones and skin to better protect his own body in combat. Though still in it's infancy, he is training his chakra-enhanced abilities based on the properties of wind, having no aetherical prowess other than his own internal aether.
