 CHARACTER DESCRIPTION Once an ardent priest of the isolated village of Sui no Sato, Kyuusei immigrated into the heart of Eorzea a few moons after the Calamity in search of answers. Many summers and winters have passed since then, and while Kyuuseiโs devotion to the wise Dawn Father and his people has not waned, he has been encouraged to discover new trades in order to survive these foreign lands. With newfound friends with at his side, the retired priest now runs a humble tea house in the Goblet, offering authentic teas and sweets that are sure to give fellow Far Easterners a sense of nostalgia.

โผ CHILDHOOD
Born under the sea, and raised within the seclusive village of Sui no Sato alongside his three other siblings: Tadahiro, Aoki, and Kanehiro. While only being the second born of the four, Kyuusei realized early into his childhood that he was destined to work as a merchant in his familyโs generations old business. The boy did not mind the tiresome lessons, however, as long as he had the time to read to himself at the end of the day. Wielding such calm temperament and intellect at his young age made him quite popular with the other village girls, which was something that never quite clicked with him. โผ TEENAGE
In an effort to grow good community influence, something that was terribly important in an isolated society, the Miyamatsu clan gave their second born son to the priesthood instead. The sudden change in lifestyle and teachings surprised the young Kyuusei, but he gave his parents no objections. While he found himself appreciating the philosophical works he was required to read and the spiritual importance of the job, the priest that was charged with his apprenticeship did not have good intentions. But as always, he gave no objections to his new mentorโs methods. โผ ADULTHOOD
Kyuusei had only just begun his days as a formal priest when the Calamity struck the West, creating a terrible disturbance in the sacred tides for some time. Chosen to find the source of the change in the sea due to his familyโs experience with interacting outside of the surface, he eventually was brought to the shores of Eorzea to discover the horrid result of the era-turning tragedy. While his discovery was made, the wandering priest was dismayed when he found he was unable to return to his home due to not having the funds to sail back. the man was unable to return to his home for many turns and was more or less stuck in the foreign lands by himself for that foreseeable future. To make himself a productive member in this new society he found himself in, the man took his side hobby of tea brewing and turned it into his profession, opening a tea house in the Goblet and managing it for many turns more. โผ CURRENTLY
He has recently returned to his homeland of Yanxia shortly after Doma was freed from the Empire, but has yet to gather the courage to visit his humble little village under the waves in fear of being deemed a deserter. Because of this, Kyuusei travels often between Eorzea and the Far East for work, and occasionally finds himself spying his old home from afar. โ RUMORS โ
