General

Lenna Faris, or Lenna Faris-Mynhier in her own time, is a woman lost in time. Born to a Hyur father and a Miqo'te mother, her age from the point of view of others is hard to tell, do to her movement through time. She is the Champion of Althyk, god of space and time. As holder of the Eye of Althyk, she journeys through time, sometimes to observe it, or sometimes to change it. Her greatest enemy is the Lich sage Hostem, servant of the Luvavi. Though she is little more then a child now, one day Lenna will come into her own, and embrace her destiny to stop Hostem.

Combat

Lenna was taught the forms of the Raptor, Coeurl, and Opo-Opo by U'Hadi Tia in her earlier years. Later on her training was furthered at different stages by her mother, father, and Roen Deneith. As a Pugilist she relies on powerful punches and kicks, mixed with aetheric control to stop her enemy.

Relationships

Eirikir "Erik" Mynhier - (deceased)
Lenna's Hyur father, Erik was a survivor of the fall of Ala Mhigo. Known as the Dark Knight of Ul'dah, Erik served the Immortal Flames for thirty years. The highlight of his career was the Liberation of Ala Mhigo, an operation that involved him, and many other Free Company commanders. During the great battle he came face to face with the man who had murdered his family, Theodor von Hostem, and finished him, or so he thought. After that he retired to a quiet life with his daughter until Theodor returned. Though he managed to save Lenna from this old threat, it was not enough to save himself.

Gummie Chalahko - (deceased)
Lenna's Miqo'te mother, Keeper of the Moon. Gummie was a Marauder mercenary who was born and raised in Limsa Lominsa. As member of Maelstrom, Gummie set out to find her daughter, never truely believing her to be dead. In her search she was captured by the Empire and cast into an imperial prison in Ala Mhigo. She remained there until she was murdered in her cell by Hostem, seeking to use her death to draw out Erik into a final battle. During Lenna's journey through time she found herself on the ship her mother was on when she was captured. While there Lenna took on the identity of a new recruit and allowed herself to "train" under Gummie. As she traveled with the mother she never knew, Gummie taught her daughter the importance of never laying down before your enemies, and that there is always a reason to fight on. As the Imperial ship approached, Lenna hoped that she could change the outcome, but as the crew boarded the ship, she jumped into time again. As the lights began to cover her she reached out to Gummie and cried out to her mother. Gummie only smiled and winked as she drew her massive ax and headed into the fray.

Siha Xinkei
A wise and thoughtful Keeper of the Moon, Siha is regarded by Lenna as her aunt, sometimes calling her Tante. She is a renoun scholar, healer, and alchemist. Her true gift lies in he status as a Seer. More powerful then any other seer know, she able to see the past, present, and future at will. It is through her knowledge that a plan is layed to allow Lenna to return to the past, but not for the reasons Lenna thinks. It is Siha who raises Lenna after her parents are killed and who readies her for the trials ahead of her.

Jace Hunter
A Keeper of the Moon, and one of Erik's closest friends, Jace, or Kami'ya Jaan was much the teacher of Lenna in matters of the world. His extensive knowledge of Eorzea as well as his insight into its people gives Lenna a unique understanding of her world. She highly respects Jace and often seeks his approval. Five years following her parent's murder, it is Jace Lenna goes to in order to learn what she must know for her quest.

Roen Deneith
Known as one of the greatest Paladins in Eorzea, Roen is without equal. Trained by Lenna's father, Roen takes it upon herself to train Lenna for what is to come. When the time came for Lenna to seek the Eye of Althyk, it was Roen who was the first to agree to go with her. Though she is Garlean by birth, there is no one person in all of Eorzea who would question her honor.

Aqil'hafiz
His name means "Wise Guardian" in the tongue of the Miqo'te, he was guardian of the Eye of Althyk. Aqil'hafiz is a Coeurl enchanted by Althyk himself with intelligence, might, and immortality. Upon Lenna and her party entering the Cave of the Keeper, it was Aqil'hafiz who confronted them. He offered Lenna three challenges, one of wisdom, one of strength, and one of courage. Upon her completion of the trials, not only did she become the Mistress of the Eye, but of its eternal guardian. Aqil'hafiz is extremely loyal to his mistress, however his power is overwhelming and his anger quick, because of this he is fitted with a collar that transforms him into a more manageable form. Lenna can return him to his true form by removing the collar by saying the incantation in the language of the Miqo'te, "Servant of Althyk, beast of iron, come forth for your Time has come. AQIL'HAFIZ!"

Montblanc
Found by her father at Camp Drybone on an early mission for the Immortal Flames, Montblanc has been a constant fixture in her life. Long before her father retired from the Flames, Montablanc or "Monty" as she calls him was made the Steward of the family home in Ul'dah. When Leena obtained the Eye of Althyk and began her travels into the past, she took Monty with her, not only for his extensive knowledge of the past, but to have someone close to her at hand. She loves the Mammet like family, though she dislikes when he tries to enforce her fathers rules upon her, often answering his scolding with a harsh, "Shut up Monty!"

U'Hadi Tia - (deceased)
A traveling Seeker of the Sun Monk from Forgotten Springs, U'Hadi found the infant Lenna within the smoldering wreckage of the Red Wing airship, the Blackjack, soon after it was downed by Garleans in the North Shroud. The baby was miraculously unharmed, while her parents had been thrown some distance away, unknown to Hadi. Seeing the Garlean Scouts, and assuming her parents had been lost, he took this child and returned to Forgotten Springs. There he and his wife Sheila raised her until she was five, when Erik learned she lived. Grateful for his care, and Lenna's attachment to U'Hadi lead to him becoming part of the family at large, becoming an Oath-Brother to her father. For the years he cared for her, and for the years up to his death, U'Hadi trained Lenna in the way of the fist. U'Hadi fell at Erik's side at the Liberation of Ala Mhigo.

Sheila Faris
U'Hadi Tia's midlander wife, Sheila is a former historian for the Ministry of History in Ul'dah. Though she seems just an ordinary housewife she is in truth highly intelligent, and versed in historic accounts of the Twelve. She is like a second mother to Lenna, taking to the baby out of her own inability to have children. It is her base knowledge that Lenna draws from when she goes on her quest.

History

Birth and Early Life
Lenna "Faris" Mynhier was born in the great city of Ul'dah, in Thanalan, in the year 0003. Her father was Erik Mynhier, a Officer in the Immortal Flames, a Sultansworn and Captain of the Red Wings. Her mother was Gummie Chalahko, a Keeper of the Moon Warrior and pirate of the Maelstrom from Limsa Lominsa.

At the age of one year old she traveled was aboard the Red Wings' former flagship, the Blackjack with her father on a trip from Ul'dah to Gridania. While over the East Shroud, the airship was shot down by mercenaries working for Theodor von Hostem, an undead Garlean mage. Hostem had, in his past, struck a pact with Luvavi gods for power and immortality. The pact called for the death of the line of Ulrich Mynhier. He hoped this would be accomplished by shooting them down, but both survived. After the crash Erik and his soldiers searched for Lenna, but found nothing, much to Erik's sorrow. Learning this Hostem to thought the baby dead, and turned his focus to Erik.

Lenna however had not died, she had been thrown from the ship before its crash, her fall broken by a treetop that hooked her blanket. While the baby hung from the branch her cries caught the attention of a wandering coeurl who sought to make a meal of the child. That would have been the end had the cries not brought something else. Just as the cat readied to strike at the child, it was knocked off its feet by a column of aether. Before the coeurl stood a Monk, his fist steaming from the Howling Fist he had just fired into the beast. The Monk was called U'Hadi Tia, and he merely spoke calmly to the coeurl, telling him that the babe was not his meal and that he should search elsewhere. The big cat only nodded and wandered off. U'Hadi leap from limb to limb until he stood before the baby. Unhooking her, he returned to the ground. He spoke kindly to the child, calming her cry, and fed her from his stores of food. He carried her with him for a day until he came upon the now abandoned wreckage. Erik and his Flames had moved deeper into the forest looking for Lenna, while the mercenaries responsible rummaged through the airship. Thinking the child's family lost in the crash, and not wanting to endanger her by fighting the men there, U'Hadi retreated away and returned to his home in Thanalan, ending early his wandering meditation.

Life in Forgotten Springs
Returning home U'Hadi told his wife, a midlander hyur named Sheila Faris, of what had happened. Though they had wanted children, they had never been blessed. As their hearts were warm, and the child, obviously mixed, was alone. They thought it right to care for her and raise her. Asking what to name her, U'Hadi pointed out that her blanket was embroidered with the name Lenna, and so she was given their name, and she became Lenna Faris, given Sheila's name for the sake of the law.

Soon after she came to be with them, she began to walk. From that point on, U'Hadi began to train her in the way of the fist. Every day he would show her the forms, letting her copy him as he did. He was a kind and patient teacher. It was not just her body that was strengthened, but her mind. Sheila had been a scholar in the Hall of Records in Ul'dah before marrying U'Hadi and moving to Forgotten Springs. For as strong as U'Hadi's hands were, Sheila's mind was as strong. As time passed, the little family focused the best of themselves into Lenna. She learned the three forms of the Monk by the time she was three, the tales and histories of Eorzea and beyond by the time she was four. It was at five that everything changed.

At the age of five, in the year 0008, Lenna became ill. The doctors in the Spring were either unable, or unwilling to help the mixed child. She began to exhibit signs of an illness called Aether Stigmatic Syndrome. After much study and pondering the couple assumed that since the child had never been exposed to large amounts of aether, that she had inherited the illness from her biological parents. It was early in this illness that Lenna gained the ability to "see" aether. One doctor informed them that there had been a case of Stigma Disease a few years earlier in Ul'dah, and that the man, a Sultansworn, had been cured. They were told to follow the lead if they hoped to save the child. They traveled for two days by cart, not daring to use crystals, for fear of Lenna's rapidly worsening condition.

Return to Ul'dah
Arriving in Ul'dah, Sheila contacted a friend to inquire about the man who had been cured, and learned that he was her former commanding officer from her time in the Hall of Records, Erik Mynhier. Not wasting time they sought him out in his office in the Chamber of Rule. Entering his office with the little girl, they spoke with his Mamment and asked to see him. A few minutes later he entered the waiting area and froze in place, his eye's locked on Lenna. He whispered to himself, "Is this the day?" and dropped to his knees. Lenna regarded him for a moment, her eyes changing from green to violet then green again. Seeing his aura she ran to him and he scooped her up and held her tight. He then placed his forehead to hers and told her it would be alright. As he and the girl closed her eyes, aether began to swirl around them, until her burns healed and her eyes became green like his again.

Confused by all that had happened, U'Hadi and Sheila spoke for a time with Erik and Lenna and learned what had happened, and the truth that she was his daughter. At first they were overcome with sorrow, not wanting to let her go. They then excepted the truth of it and relented, but Erik offered a better way. Seeing his daughter's condition and her love for them, he offered for her to move freely between his home in the Goblet, and their's in Forgotten Springs. Now able to use the crystals at will, he explained that it would be no issue for her to travel between both places at will, noting that she should continue her education with them. Erik also swore a sibling's oath with both U'Hadi and Sheila, making them part of his family, emotionally and legally, and made them Lenna's godsparents.

Life Ever After
From that point on, Lenna lead a full life, suffering only a little in school over her mixed heritage. She would travel often to Forgotten Springs for her training with U'Hadi and stories with Sheilia. She also traveled to Limsa often to visit with her Aunt Siha. She suffered no aether sickness from frequent teleports as many did, handling it better then most adults. The world was hers. Lenna learned of her father's and mother's past, heard stories from them and others. She had traveled far and wide, often sneaking aboard her father's airship as he set out on business of the crown. More then once her father would find her and become angry. More then once she would help him turn the tide in battle. At the age of ten, she toppled five Garlean soldiers by herself. Her strength and wisdom on the field of battle was staggering.

It was one day soon after that Lenna tasted sadness for the first time. Ul'dah and the other nations of Eorzea had banded together once again to free the city of Ala Mhigo. Erik had fought to be apart of that battle. His Red Wings were selected as one of the units that would transport the main force into Ala Mhigo. Though not a Flame, U'Hadi knew of the importance of the mission to his friend and oath-brother Erik and came with him to the battle. During the height
