The quality of their silks and their stunning hand-embroidery means Lin Clan Cloth is highly sought-after by all in the fashion world. 💮 Rumor has it that this proficiency in sericulture cost someone in the Lin lineage their soul, or perhaps their firstborn son... those envious of the humble fortune and reputation of the Lin, slander them with wicked tales at every opportunity. 💮 YouMei prefers music and poetry in his downtime. He can often be seen playing a flute or plucking a zither in calm, quiet spaces. Several pieces of his writing have been published in small, intimate numbers. 💮Rumor has it that the circulation of his music and poetry has given YouMei a small following, but an even larger number of critics. Many find his creations too 'fanciful', 'naïve' and 'innocent' to stand in today's creative ranks. 💮 A swordsman who has promised his blade to any soul truly in need, YouMei does not hesitate to tumble headlong into danger. A sweet scent of plum blossoms lingers in the air displaced as he passes by. Straight-backed and slow of step, this young man with a pleasant expression is obviously high-bred. When he speaks, he is well-mannered and courteous. All are treated with the respect that living beings are awarded simply by existing. Truly, this swordsman is the epitome of a cultured daoist. Lin Bai, courtesy name YouMei, leaves a first impression of elegance.

In truth, this young man hails from a humble yet large clan of silk farmers. Renowned throughout Doma and Thanalan for their high-quality exports, the Lin clan has mastered wamoura sericulture and the art of hand-embroidery. Lin Bai's decision upon his coming of age ceremony to travel out of the forested mountains of his birthplace in order to learn swordsmanship and the gentlemanly arts, rather than becoming the patriarch of his clan, was unexpected and frowned upon by his family.

Though he plans to go home eventually, YouMei is hardly in a hurry. His chivalric nature leads him where he is needed, and often times, even to where he is not needed or even desired. Some might see him as a busybody do-gooder, and the saintly air can be grating as well. Whether you want it or not, Lin YouMei is always gracious enough to help.
