The story of how Lycae Saturna arrived in Eorzea might take a minor stretch of belief--though recent events surrounding the Crystal Tower and the Scions of the Seventh dawn might ease the disbelief of some. The truth is that Lycae is a princess, from the ancient empire of Allag: the very same Allagan Empire that ushered in the the Fourth Umbral Era when it collapsed at the end of the Third Astral Era. During that calamity, Princess Saturna wove the sum of her magicks into a powerful stasis spell, similar to that used by her ancestors to bind Tiamat and Bahamut. Her goal was to sleep away the chaos and the suffering of the Fourth Umbral Era in peaceful stasis. However, the aetherial mass of the artificial moon Dalamud, which she had tapped into for the abundance of aether required by the spell, proved too much for even an experienced time mage such as herself to harness, and it flooded the spell, absorbing Lycae's life force and binding her within the dread moon. Indeed, Princess Saturna likely would have slumbered eternally within Dalamud were it not for the machinations of the VIIth Imperial Legion of the Garlean Empire and their meteor project. At the end of the Sixth Astral Era, during the battle of Carteneau Flats, the red moon split open, releasing the elder primal Bahamut--and dispelling the stasis spell binding Lycae Saturna. She awoke in the northwestern corner of the Black Shroud, with fires smoldering all around her in the wake of Bahamut's rampage. Troublingly divested of her magical abilities by the destruction of Dalamud, Lycae spent a time working as a barmaid in Fallgourd Float, helping where she could with rebuilding from the Calamity, and leading expeditions into the shard of Dalamud that fell nearby. On a trip into Gridania to pick up orders for the inn, Lycae Saturna had a vision of Hydaelyn, which would forever set her on a new path.
Lycae Saturna is a short, blonde sun seeker miqo'te who lacks the facial markings common to many in her race. One of her eyes is a rich red color, denoting her as Allagan royalty. The other eye has faded to a pale pink. She always wears finely made, rare clothing, which she cares for impeccably, and which accentuates her comely figure.
Aspects That Stand Out:
Lycae Saturna has a noble bearing and a proud disposition. She tends to create diminutive nicknames for her friends, and sees them as her lords- and ladies-in-waiting. Lycae is quick to laugh, quick to anger, affectionate and bold. She relishes the freedom from the strictures and etiquette of life in the Crystal Tower, and she finds new license as an adventurer to be flirty, forward, and outgoing. However, she os often taken aback and becomes easily flustered if that flirtatiousness or affection is turned towards her.
