Basic Info

Raised in a small rural community on the outside of Eorzea, Lyon was adopted by the Lalafell elder Uvon Davon. A reclusive scholar he took Lyon as his own and introduced her to the aether and it's effect on the world. Following her adoption she lived a life of relative solitude and comfort, curious of the world outside and eager to learn the ways of practical magic, she set out for Eorzea with her closest companion Onua Ryi by her side.

Lyon desires to study the aetheric force and reveal the secrets it holds in the hope it will give her purpose in life. Having no real memory of her own parents, she believes her true legacy lies with connecting to the aetheric force itself so that the mysteries of the universe may be revealed. In doing so she wishes to find who she is, where she came from and help the people of Eorzea along the way.

History

Lyon has no memory of her life before the village and has only the vaguest recollection of her parents faces, despite this traumatic start she has known a life of peace and love in her home village with her best friend Onua. Adopted officially by Master Davon on her 5th birthday, the Lalafell encouraged education and helped Lyon develop an appreciation for learning and reading. While this new found passion had given her a new focus it prevented her from developing social skills and made her an outcast amongst children her own age, until she met Onua. Being somewhat shy himself Lyon opened up and the two have been inseparable ever since. Her time at home was not meant to last however and a need to see the world beyond her own borders was growing greater by the day. Packing all her belonging and some extra books too, she decides to leave the village behind and is only given pause by the idea of facing the unknown without her closest companion. The thought of facing this harsh journey alone frightened her and before she knew it she was at Onua's window asking him to join. He refused and reported what she was doing to the Elders, preventing her from leaving. The next day she was emotionally devastated and had resigned herself to a life of boredom in the village. Her grief was only outmatched by her relief when Onua himself came to her with a heartfelt apology and permission to leave the borders. So elated she was unable to speak, she simply threw her arms around him, picked up her bag and departed for Eorzea.

Personality

Having been raised in relative seclusion with nothing but books and stories being her only way to learn of the outside world, Lyon has a very naive understanding of society and how it operates. With no knowledge of the races and customs of Eorzea she finds herself unsure how to approach most situations, causing offense and confusion wherever she goes. Despite all her shortcomings she enjoys meeting new people and being exposed to new cultures and believes in being pro-active when faced with a challenge, even if nothing but trouble seems to come of it. She has a great love of reading, studying and magic, which takes up a vast majority of her spare time.

Traits and Appearance

Lyon has short dark hair held back in a small bob and dark green eyes. She is average height for an Elezen her age and is in decent shape, although not very physically imposing. Despite living in a farming community she rarely takes part in physical labor and as a result has a dislike for arduous tasks. Her love of the aether has led her straight to the door of the Thaumaturge guild and her clothes and fashion reflect her interest in magic.

Miscellaneous

- Lyon tends to favor other magic users and is attracted to people who are knowledgeable or wise.

- She can approach a social situation with confidence provided Onua is nearby, on her own she is very shy.

- She has a great deal of respect for Cocobuki, the Thaumaturge guild leader, as he reminds her of Uvon Davon.

- While she is Duskwight by birth, she is unaware of her heritage and doesn't possess the darker skin of her kin.

- Lyon has perfect eyesight but she occasionally wears glasses in an attempt to appear intelligent.
