M'vheric Tia
[edit]
M'vheric Tia is a male Miqo'te who was born to the Marmot tribe several years before the Seventh Umbral Era's start. Born to M'vla Vesar and M'ltha Nunh. He considers Ala Mhigo his home and goes by the nickname "Mav" for his none Miqo'te acquaintances. He has recently even adopted a more standard surname to assist with integration into the non-tribal world.
M'vheric (From now on Mav) was born to M'vla Vesar and M'ltha Nunh fourteen years before the Calamity. He was a member of the Marmot Tribe which made their home in Gyr Abania. As a young man of the Marmot tribe who was born smaller and with many prospects he was looked after exclusively by his mother as he grew. He learned several good skills including the art of tradesman when he was only 10 years old, a staple of the M-Tribe. Though as he aged it became clear that he did not have the proper aptitude for using aether. This fact only further subjected him to ridicule and segregation as he grew up. Despite his lack of 'magical' abilities he was extremely intelligent when it came to inventions, technology, and gadgets. He loved to tinker, and though at the time Eorzea was under attack by them, he especially enjoyed tinkering with Garlean tech that the tribe 'salvaged' from time to time.
Years passed and a few days before his fourteenth name-day the Battle of Carteneau began and the Calamity came. In the wake of the horrible destruction Mav lost his entire direct family. With his position in the tribe weak, and with the survivors focused on rebuilding, Mav was abandoned by the tribe. With no friends or family left Mav wandered towards the city of Ala Mhigo. Upon arriving in the city he wandered the streets as one of many begging in the wake of the Calamity. On the verge of starvation and death, Mav was found by the most unlikely of people. A Huyr man of middling age and with an equally aged attitude found Mav huddled in an alleyway and picked him up bound for who knew where. When he awoke, Mav was in a warm bed, and next to him stood the man. His name was Greyson Spears and he served as one of Ala Mhigo's prime blacksmiths. Making a deal with Mav the man agreed to train and feed the boy if he worked for him no less then seven years. Seeing no other option Mav agreed and began his tenure as Greyson's apprentice. Greyson Spears had also lost his family in the Calamity, so the two shared that trauma. For the next seven years Mav trained, learned and grew under the tutelage of Spears, and over that time not only did Mav become a novice blacksmith favoring the creation and maintenance of armor, but he grew better at his hobby of tinkering. His relationship with his mentor/master also grew. Where once it had been master to student, now Spears almost served as a surrogate father to the now 21 year old Miqo'te. During these seven years the business only grew with wars, and conflicts increasing all over the place, the need for decent blacksmiths were never in short supply. Finally the time had come, seven years were over and he was now a journeyman blacksmith, as well as a learned merchant. With no more obligations to Spears, for the next two years Mav chose to stay with Spears and work along side his surrogate father. The two worked together for some time without incident until tragedy struck and Greyson was killed by a company of unknown Eastern agents. With their identities unknown, and their motives even less clear, Mav now set out to find out who killed his master, and why, as well as serve justice. Mav has spent the last year in the East attempting to find the killers to little success.
Mav is 5'11" and has long reddish-brown hair. He has no tattoos or artificial markings of any kind. He has several facial scars, and a small goatee.
M'vheric is extremely loyal to anyone he promises his word, even to a fault. As a result his trust and loyalty are hard to fully earn. Several experiences in his past has left him slightly jaded and hard to grow close to, yet despite these pervious experiences he maintains a positive attitude and generally good sense of humor. While he can be serious, once he feels comfortable around someone he is able to open up and act more casual. Situations that put him outside of his comfort zone and normally handled awkwardly at first, but Mav's ability to adapt make them less damning in the long term.
