Ser Lothaire Charlont Norremitore - The latest patriarch of House Norremitore, Lothaire has long ruled his household with a strong hand. Though once an energetic knight for the Holy See, in recent years Lothaire has settled into a pseudo-retirement, focused upon the stewardship of his family. With the death of his eldest son, he has sent his second son away from the frontlines, tasking him to study at the First Dicastrial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena, ensuring that his grandson faces no opposition in his succession.
Lady Auriaune Tadeux - Ser Lothaire's wife and mother of Mathieux. Much like her spouse, she too comes from a minor family of little renown. With long red hair and a talent for the arts, the harp in particular, Auriaune has done much to bring some culture to the knightly house of Norremitore.
Ser Absolont Tybalt Norremitore - Tall and handsome, Ser Absolont was once a knight of increasing repute, a rising star within the ranks of House Haillenarte. Blessed with a genial demeanor that won him many friends amongst his peers and betters, and a talent with the sword rarely seen, Ser Absolont was a figure oft found in the thick of fights with the Dravanian Horde. The possibility of his brilliant rule was cut short when a great dragon descended upon his knights fournies, slaying many of the men under his command. Valiantly, Absolont charged, only to be consumed in the dragon's flames. He was survived by a young son, Isarfort, who stands to inherit House Norremitore in his place.
Lady Curilla Norremitore -
Ser Stephannoix Cainaux Norremitore - With a wit that cuts far sharper than any sword, Stephannoix showed little promise as a knight in his youth. It would be through his cunning upon the field that he would be honoured with knighthood. With his eldest brother's death, Stephannoix was instructed to enter service with the First Dicastrial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena, something he willingly took up.
Lady Junienne Norremitore -
Ser Quentinaux Jeamont Norremitore -
Faustimont Yveaire Norremitore -
Lady Anastasie Norremitore -
Ser Haustefort Huniade - A knight of some small renown in the Ishgardian Crusade and Mathieux's mentor. For twenty years, he has led a growing knights banneret against the Dravanian Horde, and often to great success.

History
Mathieux Salomont Norremitore was born the sixth child to Ser Lothaire and Lady Auriaune, the ruling couple of House Norremitore, a cadet brance of, and in service to, House Haillenarte of Ishgard, ruling over a tiny keep by the name of Crow's Crescent. As one of the younger children of Ser Lothaire, Mathieux was destined to inherit little of his father's limited estate, much of it destined to go to his eldest brother, Absolont. Though a stern patriarch of the clan, Ser Lothaire saw to it that young Mathieux was strongly encouraged to excel in his training, as it was through superior skill and talent alone that young Mathieux could gain any prominence. This lesson was one that Mathieux seemed to take to heart at a young age, excelling in the etiquette and cultural lessons his mother and other figures of House Haillenarte taught him. At the young age of eight, he was sent off to squire for a cousin of House Norremitore, Ser Haustefort Huniade.
An active veteran of the Crusades for over thirty years, Ser Haustefort was oft seen upon the frontlines in the war against the Dravanian Horde. Mathieux was quickly taught how to ride a chocobo, and soon was entrusted the responsibility of acting as a messenger for Ser Haustefort to the other commanding knights in the Ishgardian Army. At the age of fourteen, in recognition of the services he had rendered, Ser Haustefort took Mathieux on as his squire. With this honour came much more intense lessons in combat, and it was not uncommon for Mathieux to end the day bloody and beaten from sparring with the other squires. As Ser Haustefort's squire, he also served in the war against the dragons, seeing combat mere weeks after his promotion. Though the fierce scalekin and the flames they breathed unnerved the young man, Ser Haustefort's stern rebukes soon steeled Mathieux's resolve. So, too, did news of the death of his sister, Junienne, during a Dravanian raid upon his hometown, one of many civilian casualties of the Crusade. In time, Mathieux would learn how to fight with a great many arms, but it was with the traditional weapons - the lance, and the sword and shield - that Mathieux grew to prefer.
After just shy of four years of service with Ser Haustefort, Mathieux's loyalty and diligence were considered proven, and he was knighted upon the twenty-first sun of the first moon, now a sworn lance of the Holy See. The reality of how dangerous his new role was hit home within a year, for news arrived that his eldest brother, Ser Absolont, had been consumed in a dragon's fiery breath, leaving the inheritance of House Norremitore to his son, Isarfort, who was not yet six years of age. Though this traumatic event only served to further Mathieux's hatred of the dragonkin, the same could not be said of Mathieux's brother, Quentinaux. Viewing the fight with the Dravanian Horde with a nihilistic air, it was mere months later that Ser Quentinaux deserted the ranks of Ishgard, and soon it came to light that he was in active collaboration with the heretics to lay low the Holy See. Though initially in disbelief that his closest sibling could turn against his kith and kin, the evidence of Quentinaux's treason soon became too much to deny.
Any confrontation with his wayward sibling would wait, however, for Quentinaux had taken to hiding in the mountains of Abalathia's Spine, only leaving his refuge to sortie out in one of the countless pillaging attacks the Dravanian Horde took out upon the Holy See. Embittered by the lack of resolve to this fraternal conflict, Mathieux soon requested and was granted a lances fournies and tasked with the suppression of the heretical dissidents within Coerthas. Such was a role, leading a small band of soldiers, that Mathieux undertook with a certain vengeful zeal, overseeing and participating in several raids against suspected heretical holdouts. His diligence would pay off three years later, and in a bloody and brutal clash with Quentinaux, Mathieux would slay his brother, absolving him of his sins by the sword. With his house's honour restored, Mathieux would relinquish control over the lances fournies, returning into the direct retinue of Ser Haustefort as he continued his role in the Holy Crusade.
It would only be after eight years of nearly continuous service to the Holy See as a sworn knight that Mathieux was granted extended leave, and in recognition of his service to Ishgard, he was granted permission to cross the borders into Gridania, and beyond. Though he returns often to Ishgard, and often takes up his sword and lance against the Dravanian Horde while there, it is not uncommon to find Mathieux now amongst the city-states of Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, and Ul'dah now. Of late, he has often been seen in the company of a particular miqo'te, Bexy Amalaryssia, and it is rumored the two are lovers.
