A Doman woman who once served as a sworn sword, Midori spent much of her life on the run from the Garleans who invaded her homeland. Once her lord was killed, she wandered from place to place as a ronin, keeping to the backwoods and far flung reaches of Doma while using her sword to help those in need. Finally, her family dead and her honor at stake, Midori escaped to Eorzea where she lives a similar life, using whatever means she has to stay fed and clothed. It is a hard life, but she hopes to one day find the path of a Samurai once more.

Basic Info

Midori is a very careful, quiet person who has a fear of spiders and a love of sweets. While she is not violently opposed to anything but spiders, she values quiet because it allows passions to shine more brightly when they are revealed. She does not believe in needless violence and will attempt to avoid killing someone who does not deserve it as she prizes peace above all else. Her ideal day would be one spent in quiet meditation in a beautiful, natural location somewhere in Doma; however, that is lost to her, so she makes do with Gridania and certain locations elsewhere.

Appearance & Personality

A small, pale, delicate-appearing woman with a pretty face and a scar across the bridge of her nose, Midori is notable because of her eyes are different colors: one is gold and the other is deep red. The red drew attention to her from the Garleans in Doma some years before when she was younger, and is one of the reasons she spent years avoiding their attention. Because of this, she takes effort to obscure her red eye. Someone once told her that red eyes indicated a connection to the Allagans, so she has a certain curiosity about Allag culture - though she has no evidence that what she was told is true or not. She dresses as any Eorzean adventurer, most days, though she wears a traditional Yukata whenever possible. Her hair is kept up and braided, falling down in a ponytail and dyed rolanberry red here and there.

Biography

Midori's life has been a busy one; most of it dedicated to her lord in Doma and, after his death, wandering the back country avoiding Garlean patrols and helping small villages where she found them. It has been a life of struggle and tenacity, terrible loss, and displacement. That she is still in one piece and her mind is still whole is a miracle; though she is not without internal scars.
