“The time will come when diligent research over long periods will bring to light things which now lie hidden. A single lifetime, even though entirely devoted to the sky, would not be enough for the investigation of so vast a subject... And so this knowledge will be unfolded only through long successive ages. There will come a time when our descendants will be amazed that we did not know things that are so plain to them... Many discoveries are reserved for ages still to come, when memory of us will have been effaced.”

Character

General

Mimory Scrollbearer is a traveling archeologist and student of the magical arts. Born and raised in Limsa Lominsa and trained in the ways of magic at the Arcanist Guild, Mimory has taken to exploring the world to research and learn about all types of magic, not just the one she was trained in. During her travels, she began to come to the conclusion that knowledge of what had been before the Calamity might serve her just as well; She now spends her time split between visiting various Mage Guilds and unearthing ruins half buried by the Calamity.Generally happy and willing to lend a hand, there has yet to be someone who says they don't like her to some degree.

Appearance

Mimory Art.jpg

Short and lithe, Mimory is pretty small for a Miqo'te- though there appears to be no other reason than an unlucky mixture of genetics. Her hair is short and black with white streaks and her eyes are a pale blue-green color not unlike the sea when it nears the shore. Her face has some of the usual Miqo'te markings, though a bit more heavily accented with some form of long-lasting paint in an effort to give her a more unique appearance. She possess a single thin scar the runs over her left eye, though it has long since faded and is barely noticible without a throuough inspection.

Personality

Sometimes too friendly, but always looking to lend a helping hand. Her studies and constant travel leave her with few that she could call true friends, but that doesn't seem to effect her too negatively.

She always takes a look on the bright side of things, looking to the next horizon or a new day when faced with adversity. Her life before entering into the Archanist's Guild was rough and she tends to bypass or ignore talking about it.

Combat

General

Mimory is a careful fighter, prefering to rely on her magical skills instead of physically getting into melee range. Her spelltome, from which she is able to cast various incantations that help or hinder targets of her choice, is her weapon of choice. In addition to her book, she is also able to summon various mystical 'pets'- Emerald and Topaz Carbuncles; named Frank and Steve respectively. These two creatures follow her commands but are also able act indepndently of their own accord. These summons make up for her lack of physcial aptitude and help to shore up any holes in her defenses.

Anthony Hemshire

Anthony Hemshire

Mimory met Anthony in The Quicksand, where she discovered the strange man passed out on the floor. being who she was, she roused him from his slumber with a poke and a slap. Once he was concious, she got to chatting with him.

Seemingly void of almost all knowledge of his life save for his name, the man quickly was brought up to speed with the world around him, and claims that Erozea is most certainly not his home. Finding this extremely interesting, Mimory met with Anthony several more times to discuss his past- what little of it he could remember.

Anthony also helped Mimory take back some personal items that were stolen from her meager traveling caravan by Amalj'aa raiders; her spellbook and a large green gem of unknown origin.
