Character

Overview

Mizu is a curious yet surprisingly gentle and passive lalafell succubus with a knack for getting herself into trouble. With her aether naturally unstable due to the method of her creation, She tends to lose control of her powers with explosive results. Cuteness and shenanigans usually ensue as her caretakers try to make heads or tails of the creatures antics.

Due to the unique structure of her body, healing magics are comparatively ineffective. However, Standard healing aids and potions seem to function normally.

Backstory

Created when a succubus soul was shoved into the body of a living lalafell host; The goal of the experiment was for a Voidsent capable of opening and closing voidgates on it's own terms. Effectively allowing it to "Self-Contract". However, she currently doesn't seem to exhibit this ability and was deemed a failure. With no purpose, she was left to wander the emptiness of the void until stumbling through a voidgate opened by two hapless mages.

She followed their adventures for a short while before being handed off to a group of their former colleagues who expressed interest in studying the creature. The group had fell in with a cult and attempted to goad and force the tiny succubus to return to her 'true form' by any means necessary. Feeling betrayed and locked in a cell with other voidsent after their attempts failed, Mizu very nearly lost her humanistic traits before a group of adventurers found her and took her into their care.

Appearance

Mizu's method of creation allowed retaining a warm skin tone and colorful hair. Outwardly, She looks like any other lalafell - With the exception of her horns and long claw/nails. Oddly, She does not appear to possess a tail like other succubi. Maybe it just hasn't grown in yet...?

Personality

Perhaps the strangest thing about this creature is her behavior.

Highly curious: The void is a very dark and featureless place. The world outside is full of all new wonders for the tiny voidsent to shake, jump on, or poke at. Sometimes a combination of the three.

Easily Amused: Perhaps mercifully, it takes very little to hold her attention. Unless something more interesting floats past her vision, Mizu has been noted to remain occupied by a simple switch-activated floor lamp for nearly an entire day.

Shy: Generally avoids bigger groups. Often hiding behind furniture or someone's legs when near lots of people. Though sometimes this trait is overcome by her curiosity. This trait has weakened in recent days.

Strangely gentle/passive: She has not attacked anyone or anything (Aside from curious poking) that hasn't proven hostile towards her or her companions.

Strong sense of self-preservation: Mizu actively fears voidsent in a higher hierarchy rung than herself. She will instinctively attack anyone who attacks her. In extreme situations, this includes people she considered friendly. (Not to be confused with "Friedly". See; Enemies, Taverns.)

Seemingly sympathetic to Emotions: Has exhibited worry to those who seem lost in thought, upset, or lonely.

Mostly Mute: Incapable of normal speech. She does have a voice; But at best, she can only sustain a single syllable in an excruciatingly loud screeching noise. Typically the first syllable of one's name.

Friends and Foes

Friendly

Yumi Hikaru: The Miqo'te who found her locked in a cell. She had met Yumi previously, and got along with her. This relationship continues to grow. Especially as more croissants are made.

Itsu Neir: One of a few 'motherly figures' in Mizu's life, and wife of Yumi. She gets along with Itsu, which also loves to make croissants.

Zinot Risus: A towering au'ra that provides a high place for Mizu to see from when perched on his head. Sometimes it's the simple things in life...

Lyauna Jihn: The newest Miqo'te in her life. She seemed alone when she first met her, and occasionally visits her room. Made her a tasty fruity honey wheat breakfast. It's not a croissant, but it was sweet. This relationship is still developing.

Iris Blanchimont: Helped heal her on a few occasions, though it was met with unexpected difficulty. Iris has seemed to taken an interest and liking to her.

Rexa Blanchimont: Though only having met her once, Mizu enjoyed Rexa's attempts to communicate with her. Snacks helped too.

Neutral

Amari Isharagi: The newest maid to serve at the house. Mizu hasn't spent enough time around her yet. Though she is very curious about the horns of the Raen...

Enemies

Other Voidsent: Anything of a higher status than herself, and even some in the neighboring rungs, she deems a threat to her survival and should be destroyed or avoided at all cost.
