Beginning in Ul'dah

Unlike most Miqo'te she wasn't born into a clan, at least not one that she could remember. Only thing that really defines her is that her appearance screams Keeper. Ever since her memory could draw upon her oldest thought she'd only remembered roaming the streets of Ul'dah. For the most part she was taken in to the Arrzaneth Ossuary. When she was old enough she helped with the rites of the dead and practiced Thaumaturgy since she exhibited aether abilities early on. Which suited her just fine, in fact she bonded with the Lalas that ran the guild more than she ever did with other Miqo'tes. She practiced their teachings as often as she could while helping out with other chores around the temple with other orphans that had been taken in.

A wild Sky Pirate appears!

Because Ul'dah was so merchant heavy there was always interesting people to see roaming the city or new wares to swipe. One day while she roamed the city she noticed a teen around her age getting picked on by some of the usual thugs and bullies that also lurked in these parts. Now normally she would have kept on walking but the stranger looked different than any of the other people she usually saw. He looked like he had some kind of combat training, but when you were up against a handful of thugs twice your size the odds usually were stacked against you. Because she was an orphan she was no different than most of the brats that roamed the city, hells no one gave her a second glance which gave her the perfect chance. Going to a safer distance that was slightly hidden she could cast in safety. She wasn't planning on winning a fight with the teachings ingrained into her head about the threats of intimacy. Sure she could have slept the brutes but where was the fun in that?

While the boy looked ready to strike a fireball came bursting between him and the thugs, she had used her Fire II to add to the confusion since the fire would expand hitting more than one of the targets. It had the desired affect since they started to look around thinking the boy had a secret guard or something. Before they could look to hard she cast a couple more Fire IIs. Enough that their breeches were burning something fierce and they ran to go put them out. No doubt people running around with their pants on fire would raise an alarm or two so she hopped out of the shadows and grabbed the boy's hand to take him away from the scene. The boy seemed excited to see the magic so much so that they didn't go look for his guardians right away. Instead the two talked a bit, she was enthralled by his stories. He told her how him and his dad flew through the skies, she couldn't help but listen and want to know more. She hadn't ever thought of leaving the city til she heard what was out there. The sun started to set and that was when the two realized the time so she insisted on helping him get back to his crew, just in case.

Apparently they were meeting at the airship landing and seeing their airship was much more different than the ones that traveled to and from Gridania or Limsa. She stared so much she hadn't notice the boy reuniting with his father til they approached her. The father tried to thank her with some gil but she refused and did something she didn't even expect of herself. She dropped down to the ground and asked him to take her with them. There was the initial 'What about your family?' nonsense but after a quick explanation they realized she had about zero ties to the city and the people. The only place she cared about was the Ossuary and no doubt they'd be happy to have an orphan gone. Sides she had finished all the Thaumaturgy training that she could before she had to go out to grow further. The Captain didn't argue too much because he saw the conviction she had in her eyes, also it helped that she was a magic user. Apparently they were lacking in that department.

Combat

Black Magic. She started with just simple Thaumaturgy but as she traveled if they found any books about black mages she got them instantly to study their arts. She even visited the Ossuary from time to time to get their opinion even though she got kicked out when she started to dabble too far. That didn't stop her though, she was able to find similar mages to learn from.

Fisty Cuffs. She prefers to fight with magic since that's her specialty but after she chose the road to being a Sky Pirate she had to learn how to defend herself physically since after the initial attacks there would be plenty of close range combat. Her favorite weapons to use are her staff, fists, feet, head or if there's a nearby bar stool.

Tendencies

Likes

Alcohol - Rum to be specific.
Fighting - She'll fight anyone anywhere, except in bars because you don't fight in the place that gives you booze.
Lalas - They're a weakness of hers since she was raised with them, they're just so darn cute.

Dislikes

Pants - No seriously they're constricting.
Testing - Testing, testing, still testing, testing testing for days. Test test test tests. Something something figure out length stuff later.
