Appearance

Naih'to is a male Miqo'te, with pale grey skin and blue-grey eyes. Owing to his soft, androgynous features and unisex clothing, strangers are frequently baffled as to his gender. Standing at a short 5'2", his build is fragile and dainty in appearance, with little muscle tone. His black hair is a wavy mess underneath the enormous hats he's so fond of wearing.

An ilm or so under his eyes are markings characteristic of Keepers of the Moon – there are two accompanying stripes on his cheeks, one on each side. He has a tattoo on the bridge of his nose as well, a memento of the coming of age ritual he passed in early adolescence.

He walks with a subtle limp, thanks to a broken ankle that healed wrong. He treads very carefully, calculating every step, and even walking with a cane to hide it as best as he can. He's particularly sensitive about the matter, as his ankle was the first thing healed with his own magic.

Affiliations and Known Associates

• Xha'to Tayuun : Naih'to's dear younger cousin. Their mothers were always close, and as a result, they were raised more akin to that of brothers. It was at Xha'to's insistence that they migrate to Eorzea, where they both live today. Despite Naih'to's outward prickliness and Xha'to's mischievous nature, the two actually get along quite well.

Characteristics

• Nicknames: Naih. He cringes every time someone refers to him as such, because not only are the people who do so overly friendly acquaintances, but that's his mother's name.

  • Marital Status: Single, though his cousin often jests that he's married to his studies.
• Alignment: Chaotic good, though he sometimes leans more toward chaotic neutral. He generally has good intentions. Generally.
• Hair: Midlength, wavy black hair. Cut to below his chin in the front, longer in the back. Quite fluffy.
• Clothing: More often than not, he's wearing robes. He doesn't usually have the time or capacity for planning elaborate outfits, so his wardrobe is entirely practical. He does have a fondness for tight clothing when he has the choice though – loose fabrics are more likely to get ruined.

Naih'to is rarely seen without a giant hat on his head. Though they do draw unwanted attention, his hats are a comfort to him. He has incredible difficulty being the center of attention, so being able to hide under a hat is a huge relief.

Likes

• Learning. (He delights in learning new things, regardless of their utility. He's a fount of trivia, and will unleash a horde of information upon any poor soul foolish enough to get him talking.)
• Helpful people. (Anyone who can help him or do him a service is a good person in his book. He usually forgets to eat or sleep, so anyone who can help him with caring for his basic needs is practically a savior.)
• Nature. (The natural world is a wonder with so many mysteries, so naturally he finds it interesting. The hows and whys of spoken made technologies and crafts are easily answered, whereas nature is something of an enigma.)
• Games and puzzles. (He likes to challenge himself, even in the little free time he allots himself. He thinks of people as puzzles too, though he's usually reluctant to 'solve' them.)

Dislikes

• Morbols. (They're an invasive species that has no intrinsic value, as they contribute very little to the environs in which they're found. Also, they smell awful. Gods, do they smell awful.)
• Nosy people. (Curiosity is hardly a bad thing, but he despises people who don't understand personal boundaries.)
• Constraints. (Be they physical or social, he hates anything that gets in his way, especially if he can't somehow manipulate it to his advantage. He likes to be in control at all times.)
• Physical contact. (If he's not anticipating being touched, physical contact can throw him into a state of panic. It's just best not to try it.)
