Basic Info

Ninii Nii is nothing more but a mask, within a mask. After all even the name Ninii is a lie. A pureblooded Au Ra all in all, Ninii, or previously known as "Tsuruno" comes from a family that is the clear-cut definition of the "Raen" title. Soft-spoken, peaceful, and incredibly open armed, even back before visiting Eorzea, had Tsuruno hated the scales she was given.

But fortunately for her, Tsuruno is just a empty name with no meaning. For as she now journeys into a new realm, she obtains the opportunity to start completely fresh.

Appearance & Personality

Ninii is unfortunately a rather petite woman, despite her ambition of wanting to appear cold. A tanned-skinned 4"8ft tall Au Ra, the most striking part of Ninii would most likely be her reptile-like face. And although her statue and aurora seems to emit something of a child, the people who come across the blonde-haired woman could certainly tell you that the scorching glares she pursues with her piercing bright pupils, definitely caused them chills at first impressions.

Sadly though for Ninii, this intimidation surely dies quickly once people take a second glance. For no matter how much anger, and "maliciousness" Ninii attempts in her behavior above everything, what comes out is a high-pitched squeal and crybaby eyes during tough situations.

Biography

Born and raised in the city-state of Doma, it was very early had Tsuruno realized that the beautiful white scales resting upon her skin did not match the "fire" that burned within her chest. Moreover, there were days that she could only wish that the textures were dark instead of light.

Her Mother was a Cleric, while her Father was a Blacksmith. And though her family wasn't necessarily "noble" based, they were very well-liked folks and many people went to Tsuruno's Mother for advice. Tsuruno was a rather pessimistic child yes, but it was as if her own Mother's light gave her hope to becoming something better; and the aloofness she shared with people would most surely end once she matured. Tsuruno hates to admit it, but becoming a White Mage was moreover thanks to the influence of her parent as she looked up to the older Au Ra as a child. She was brave, kind, and the type of person that everyone enjoyed being around. Which was basically the utter opposite of Tsuruno, really.

And when Tsuruno and her family had to become refugees due to the invasion of their home by the Garlean Empire many things uplifted her, but at the same time destroyed her. As many tragic young Au ra's stories would go, a close relative would end up being tragically killed in between the calamity. Much to the teenage Au Ra's demise, it ends up being the very own woman that was the reason she had any sort of confidence for herself. And for her Father, due to the confusion of the attack, his whereabouts are (and still) unknown. It was just Tsuruno, her older brother, and her older sister that was left to escape; and barely so if I might add. To be honest, it was as if a holy power heard the wish of Tsuruno wanting to change her life, but letting the Devil cast the blessing. She received the opportunity to leave, and forget the ways of the Raen...But at what cost?

Tsuruno didn't take the same boat to Eorzea as her siblings though, for the sudden change of enviroment scarred her to the point of amnesia.

Or, well, at least that is what the deceit she's telling everyone so far.

Letting her hair grow and color change, this is when Tsuruno becomes something of a title that is completely blank in sentiment. The Au Ra blonde runs without a name for a while, and shock controls her to the point where she loses identity. For the most part Eorzea is a fresh start, but she has no motivation to give it a chance. And for a few weeks of her travels she is homeless, scavenging (and even stealing) to get by in the unknown Continent. She's more than ready to begin a new life, however at the same time... She regrets taking advantage of the old one. The gentle face of her Mother... It's a beauty, that not even Limsa's bright lights could beat. "But i'm not her, and i'll never be anything like her. I'm just going to be a hated, annoying, Au Ra. That's it."

She meets a Plainsfolk Lalafell female along the way of her journey before she looses grip of insanity, however. The child is young, or at least younger than Tsuruno is, with her smile radiating a glow; that is nearly familiar to someone else's. And with the unexpected meeting and unusual conversation, "Hi! What's your name?" is soon after the gateway of running away from the trauma she faces.

"I don't have one." Tsuruno replies, hiding the content of a idea she soon comes up with. "I don't remember who I am."

"Oh! Then I guess i'm gonna have to come up with one, don't I?! Hmm... You look like a Ninii. Is that a good name, for ya?"

And as the last smile of Tsuruno widens, the woman nods. "It's perfect."

With Tsuruno soon dead, as Ninii is taken home to a Lalafell family.

Miscellaneous

■ Though Ninii seems cold-hearted, her behaviors can be completely contradicted when interacting with the Lalafell race. Due to being raised for quite some time by the mini humanoids, she seems them as automatic friends; in gratitude to her caretakers. It can honestly be very surprising for people who barely know Ninii see the blonde-haired woman communicate with this race in such a amicable manner. However, the Au Ra doesn't particularly care for the image she has with Lalafells. "They took me in when I thought I was trapped, after all." She would say. "Any enemy of a Lalafell is an enemy of mine too."

■ Has a affection with botany, and when alone can be seen admire the variety of plants and flowers. Ninii sees this moreover as a easy activity for her to relieve her stress with. The grassy scenery of a garden is relaxing for the scaled female, and possibly one of the rare things can make her smile.
